Owners and their wholesalers at one table: NGA Show 2027 booths in Las Vegas
We build NGA Show booths where an independent owner can taste the product, see the shelf-ready case and settle wholesaler setup at one counter and one table. Our Las Vegas crew installs in the MGM Grand's Marquee, Terrace and Boulevard Ballrooms and files every Shepard, MGM and Edlen order for you.

What makes The NGA Show different, and how we build for it
The NGA Show bills itself as "Where Independents Gather," and the floor bears that out.Clarion Events produces it with the National Grocers Association for independent supermarket owners and the wholesalers that supply them; the 2026 attending list ran from Associated Wholesale Grocers and SpartanNash to Wakefern and UNFI. Mornings start with Main Stage sessions in the Grand Ballroom, then the expo opens at 10 a.m. in the Marquee, Terrace and Boulevard Ballrooms. There, Fresh Pitches runs short retailer introductions in the Connections Hub and university students judge exhibitors for the Best in The Show Awards. In the Grand Ballroom, the Best Bagger National Championship takes the stage.
Products that give one store or a regional group something the national chains lack, a margin they can see on the spot and a clear answer to which wholesaler can ship it.
A taste of the item with its case pack and shelf-ready tray beside it, plus demo and promotion support they can run in fresh, center store or health and wellness.
Item data, slotting and deal terms, proof of retailer pull and a quiet table to plan one program across the independent stores they supply.
Your team in Las Vegas
Two shops, one project manager, every hall
We build in our own production shop in Fishkill, NY, and our Las Vegas hub, ship to the MGM Grand Conference Center, and install with our own project manager on the floor and vetted local labor. Predictable 30–45-day turnarounds, secure storage and pre-show QA.
Your team walks into a lit, stocked booth. You just show up.
Inside The NGA Show 2027
Rules that shape your booth
Food samples are capped at one ounce and non-alcoholic drinks at two, limited to products your company makes or distributes, and oversize portions draw corkage fees (2026 rules). We size portion cups, the serving line and back storage to those limits.
Every alcohol sample is served by an MGM Grand bartender, and the exhibitor carries $1 million in host liquor liability (2026 rules). We build the bar front and back counter for their service, leave room for the bartender station and put the bartender fee in your budget.
Shepard's advance warehouse refuses refrigerated and frozen shipments, which must go straight to the MGM Grand (2026 rules). We split cold product from booth freight, apply Shepard's show-site labels and time delivery to match cooler setup.
Cooking equipment may need a Clark County Fire permit, smoke must be vented through Edlen, and exhibitors do not apply for temporary health permits themselves (2026 rules). We specify warming units that avoid venting where possible and send the equipment list to MGM Exhibitor Services.
Expo Only passes are sold to retailers only, registrations are audited by business type, and suppliers without a booth pay $1,345 or more (NGA member early-bird rate through October 28, 2026) for a non-exhibiting pass. We design for qualified grocery buyers rather than crowds: fewer giveaways, more seats and spec sheets.
Programs worth planning for
A one-time 10×10 booth plus a 30-minute talk or product demo in the show-floor theater, at $6,000 on the organizer's current published rate card; open to companies with fewer than 30 staff and under three years in market.
Speed networking in the Connections Hub on the show floor: sponsors buy curated meeting slots as part of a package and pick up to five preferred retailer introductions, first come, first served, across two expo-day sessions.
More than sixty university students judge products and services on the expo floor in five categories, from Center Store to Technology, then present the awards to exhibitors onstage at a ceremony open to all attendees.
Turnkey demo kiosks, four to a pod, each with graphics, a storage cabinet, two chairs, a handwashing station and power; $3,500 at the organizer's current published rate and exclusive to food product and CPG companies.
Among U.S. food and beverage shows, The NGA Show is the independent supermarket channel's own event; choose it over the NACS Show when your buyers run grocery stores supplied by wholesalers rather than convenience chains. Compare every food and beverage show we build for →

Popular booth sizes at The NGA Show
The NGA Show publishes rates for 10×10, 10×20 and 20×20 booths, with a member 10×20 at $9,000 and a 20×20 at $18,000 at its current rates, plus F&B Innovation Village kiosks and Meeting Pods. For food brands we recommend a 10×20 with a sampling counter and a seat for owner talks; a 20×20 suits wholesaler programs and store technology demos.

A sampling counter with hidden prep and cooler space at one end, a planogram-style product wall and a two-seat table for owners and wholesaler buyers.

Machu Picchu Foods at a food and beverage trade show
A layered, walk-through environment inspired by the landmark itself, turning curiosity into sampling conversations.
Machu Picchu Foods drew visitors through a walk-through layout into a tasting; here that idea must fit a ballroom inline with capped portions and a seat for owners.

04 Designing for food brands, grocery suppliers and retail technology providers at The NGA Show
Four things we get right for The NGA Show exhibitors
1Plan for porters and handwashing
MGM Grand's 2026 food and beverage terms required Periodic Porter Service from every sampling exhibitor and could require a food safety kit in the booth. We build a portioning station behind the counter, a recessed bay for the Edlen handwashing kit and a covered trash point porters reach without crossing your sample line.
2Give cold product its own route
Fresh, dairy and frozen exhibitors arrive with reach-in coolers, and in 2026 MGM Grand's sampling terms left all product storage to the exhibitor. We build cooler bays to your reach-in dimensions, order MGM power to each unit, label product cases apart from booth crates and time their arrival so the coolers run before the first case lands.
3Keep every crate light
Shepard bills material handling by the pound, and in 2026 its warehouse and direct-to-show rates were identical, so routing saves nothing and weight is the only lever. We build in lightweight aluminum frames with fabric graphics, ship counters flat and weigh every crate before it leaves our shop.
Seat the owner and the wholesaler
Owners and the wholesalers that supply them walk the same aisles here; the 2026 attending list included C&S Family of Companies, Bozzuto's and Houchens Food Group. We put a three-seat table behind the sample line so your rep, the owner and the wholesaler buyer can settle item setup, slotting and the first promotion in one conversation.

Concept rendering
Every proposal comes with a rendering like this

Logistics for The NGA Show 2027, handled
The NGA Show runs in the MGM Grand Conference Center at 3799 S Las Vegas Blvd, with the expo across the Marquee, Terrace and Boulevard Ballrooms. Shepard handles booth setup, shipping and exhibit services; in 2026 its advance warehouse sat at 5845 Wynn Road and direct freight went to the hotel dock at 4701 Koval Lane. MGM Grand Exhibitor Services takes electrical and food and beverage orders, and Edlen is the hotel's exclusive air, water and drain contractor. We file the exhibitor-appointed contractor paperwork, order MGM power and Edlen kits, ship to Shepard's targets and install with our Las Vegas crew, with our Las Vegas shop on call for overnight reprints and repairs.
Hall guide
The organizer's 2027 schedule spreads The NGA Show across the MGM Grand Conference Center: Sunday forums in the Grand meeting rooms, general sessions in the Grand Ballroom and the expo in three ballrooms. Here is what each space means for your booth.
The 2027 expo floor, open from 10 a.m. on February 1 and 2 according to the organizer's schedule, after morning general sessions end.
Our advice: Buyers arrive together when sessions let out, so we stage samples, staff and the first restock to be ready at 10 a.m. sharp.
Fresh Pitches speed networking runs in the Connections Hub, and the Boulevard Stage hosts sessions such as a prepared foods talk and the Exceptional Independent's Awards.
Our advice: If you sponsor Fresh Pitches, we pack a carry kit of samples and sell sheets so your rep can move between booth and Hub without stripping the counter.
Main Stage general sessions and attendee breakfasts each morning, the Best Bagger National Championship on stage and refreshment breaks in the Grand Ballroom Pre-Function.
Our advice: Owners spend mornings here, so your pre-show invitations should point them to your booth number for the 10 a.m. opening.
On Sunday, January 31, before any booth opens, the Tech Innovation Forum and Financial Forum meet in Grand 121–124 and the Leadership & HR Forum in Grand 114.
Our advice: Technology and finance-service exhibitors can invite forum attendees to a Monday demo; we wire a demo screen and station that are live from the first minute.

The NGA Show exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before The NGA Show
How much does a booth at The NGA Show 2027 cost?
For a food brand here, the tier that fits is a 10×20 rental with a sampling counter, which runs $7,500 to $15,000; a 10×10 rental starts at $3,500. Coolers, Shepard's per-pound handling and MGM power move the total most at this show. Space is billed separately by the organizer, whose current published rate for a non-member 10×20 is $10,400.
When do we need to start our NGA Show 2027 booth?
The expo opens February 1 and the December holidays shorten the build window, so we need design sign-off by late November 2026. That leaves 30 to 45 days of production and an early-January ship date to Shepard's advance warehouse. Shepard's discounted advance rates for the 2026 show closed January 9, 2026; we place 2027 orders before the advance date in Shepard's 2027 manual. Send us your booth number once it is assigned and we draw to that exact space.
Can we rent a booth for The NGA Show, and what does a rental include?
Shepard's 2026 package gave each booth an 8-foot back drape, 3-foot side drapes and a cardstock ID sign. Our rental replaces that with a branded backwall, lighting, a sampling counter with storage, shipping, installation by our Las Vegas crew and dismantle, all on one fixed proposal. You can rent the structure and own only a custom counter.
Can we set up our own booth at the MGM Grand Conference Center?
Your staff can unpack product and dress the counter, but Shepard's 2026 rules barred exhibitors and their appointed contractors from operating forklifts, manual or electric pallet jacks and overhead lifts. Power is ordered through MGM Grand Exhibitor Services and water through Edlen. We file the contractor notice with Shepard, then build the structure while your team stocks the counter.
What does it take to sample food at The NGA Show?
Every sampling booth files the MGM Grand authorization form and carries product liability insurance. Anything you hand out that your company does not make or distribute must be bought from the hotel, and in 2026 the MGM culinary team wanted kitchen prep requests at least 21 days before the first sampling day. We file the form, the insurance certificate and any kitchen request.
What does drayage cost at The NGA Show, and who pays it?
Shepard charged $2.64 per pound for material handling in 2026, billed to your company rather than the organizer. At that rate a 600-pound crate of counters and graphics comes to about $1,584 before tax. We weigh and consolidate every crate, keep product shipments on their own paperwork and put the handling estimate on your proposal.
Which ballroom will our NGA Show booth be in?
The organizer's 2027 schedule puts the expo floor in the Marquee, Terrace and Boulevard Ballrooms, with Fresh Pitches listed in the Boulevard Ballroom. Your booth number on the 2027 floorplan places you in one of the three. We read that location before drawing sightlines and order MGM power to the exact spot in your space.
Can we reuse our NGA Show booth at other food shows?
We build it to reconfigure. The same counters and product wall can go to PLMA's Private Label Trade Show in Rosemont, IDDBA in Atlanta or the NACS Show, then come back to storage at our Las Vegas hub, where we refresh graphics between shows. Las Vegas follow-ups such as SupplySide Global need no cross-country freight.
Do you handle Shepard, MGM and Edlen orders for The NGA Show?
We do. We read the exhibitor manual when Shepard posts it, file the MGM sampling authorization, order electrical through MGM Grand Exhibitor Services and book Edlen handwashing kits, water and drains for sampling counters. Shepard labels, material handling forms and outbound carrier check-in run through us, and you get a copy of every confirmation.
When is The NGA Show 2027?
The NGA Show 2027 runs Sunday, January 31 to Tuesday, February 2, 2027. Sunday is a conference day with the Tech Innovation, Financial and Leadership & HR forums, an opening keynote from former U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and a reception at the Splash Pool. The expo floor opens at 10 a.m. on February 1 and 2.
Where is The NGA Show 2027 held?
At the MGM Grand Conference Center, part of MGM Grand Las Vegas at 3799 S Las Vegas Blvd. The 2027 expo fills the Marquee, Terrace and Boulevard Ballrooms, while Main Stage sessions meet in the Grand Ballroom. The official room block sits at the MGM Grand through Connections Housing, and Harry Reid International Airport is 2 miles away.
How many people attend The NGA Show?
The organizer put the 2026 edition at more than 3,500 retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers and service providers, with 350+ exhibitors, 50+ of them on the floor for the first time. Before the move to the MGM Grand, the Caesars Forum years drew nearly 3,300 grocery professionals in 2023 and more than 2,700 in 2022.
Is The NGA Show open to the public?
No. The organizer runs it as a business-to-business event closed to the general public, with attendance reserved for grocery industry professionals such as retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers. Expo Only passes go to retailers alone, and a supplier without a booth registers on a Non-Exhibiting Supplier pass, $1,495 for NGA members at the standard rate.
How do I get a booth at The NGA Show?
Clarion Events produces the show in partnership with the National Grocers Association, and its sales managers sell space through the Become An Exhibitor page. At the organizer's current published rates a 10×10 costs $4,500 for NGA members and $5,200 for non-members. Companies under three years in market with fewer than 30 staff can take the $6,000 Innovation Start-Up Package.
Before you sign with anyone
Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for The NGA Show:
- Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
- Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
- Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
- What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
- Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?
Common situations
Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.
Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.
Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
