Fiber, resin and the part they make: CAMX 2027 booths in Anaheim

We build CAMX booths where an aerospace or automotive engineer can run a hand over the laminate, see the layup process and ask about cure cycles at the counter. At the Anaheim Convention Center, California labor rules limit what your team can carry in, so our project manager runs the build.

  • Oct 18–21, 2027 · Anaheim
  • 500+ exhibitors in 2025
  • Space $41/sq ft (2026 rate)

What makes CAMX different, and how we build for it

CAMX is the composites industry's North American show, produced by ACMA and SAMPE under the line Combined Strength, Unsurpassed Innovation, and it rotates cities: Orlando in 2025, Atlanta in 2026 and Anaheim, its fourth time at this building, in 2027. The 2025 show drew nearly 6,000 attendees and more than 500 exhibitors. The CAMX Award, with its Combined Strength and Unsurpassed Innovation categories, and ACMA's Awards for Composites Excellence put finished parts in the spotlight, while the Demo Zone, the CAMX Theater and The Hive keep visitors moving. Your booth should let an engineer touch the laminate and see how it was made.

Composites and materials engineers

Fiber architecture, resin chemistry and cure data on a panel they can read, coupons and cut sections in hand, and a technical specialist for qualification questions.

Fabricators and production managers

The layup, infusion, trimming or automated fiber placement process shown in motion or on video, cycle times and scrap rates, and a conversation about tooling and equipment lead times.

OEM buyers in aerospace, automotive, marine and wind

A finished part they recognize, proof of certifications and supply capacity, and a seated table to discuss a program, volumes and pricing.

Your team in Anaheim

Two shops behind your CAMX booth

Our Fishkill, NY production shop and our Las Vegas hub build the booth, we ship it to the Anaheim Convention Center, and our own project manager runs the CAMX install on the floor with vetted local labor. Every CAMX build runs a predictable 30 to 45 days and gets a pre-show QA, with secure storage after.

When your team gets to Anaheim, the booth is lit and stocked. You just show up.

CAMX rules that shape your booth

Each open corner costs $410

CAMX adds $410 per corner to corner, peninsula and island booths at the 2026 rate, on top of the square-foot price. We price inline, peninsula and island layouts together so the extra open sides are a decision, not a surprise.

Organizer rule

One rate break at 1,000 square feet

CAMX space cost $41 per square foot from 100 to 1,000 square feet and $40 above 1,000 in 2026. A 20×50 sits exactly on the line, while a 30×40 at 1,200 square feet moves every foot to the lower rate; we price both so you see the step.

Organizer rule

Freeman's manual governed 2026 orders

For 2026 CAMX published a Freeman Exhibitor Service Manual and an exhibitor service center for orders and forms. We work from the 2027 manual once it opens and file electrical, rigging and handling orders before the discount dates.

Popular booth sizes at CAMX

CAMX sells space by the square foot, with one rate up to 1,000 square feet and a lower rate above, so suppliers of fiber, resin and consumables tend to take 10×20 and 10×30 inline space, while equipment makers with presses, cutters or fiber placement heads take 20×20 to 30×40 islands. We recommend a 20×20 whenever a machine or large part comes.

04 Designing for fiber, resin, prepreg, tooling, automated layup and composites processing equipment companies at CAMX

Four things we get right for CAMX exhibitors

Print head of a 3D printer moving over a bright green printed part1

Let them touch the laminate

CAMX engineers judge a material with their fingers: surface finish, drape, stiffness, the edge of a cut section. We build counters with recessed sample trays and tethered coupons, light them low and sideways to show weave and surface, and keep a finished part from the CAMX Award or ACE entry at eye level.

Bearded worker fitting a part at a bench beside a white boat hull in a large shed2

Show the process, not just the part

Fabricators come to CAMX to see how a part is made. Where a machine cannot run in the booth, we mount a large screen above the counter that loops the layup, infusion or trimming sequence beside the same part, so the process and its result read together from the aisle.

Two engineers talking beside an open aircraft cockpit mockup3

Budget the $410 corners

CAMX charged $41 per square foot in 2026 plus $410 for each open corner on a corner, peninsula or island booth. A 20×20 island carries four corners, so we price inline, peninsula and island options side by side and show what each extra open side buys you in traffic.

Two racing yachts with black sails heeling on open water under a blue sky4

Make awards part of the booth

CAMX named 29 CAMX Award finalists and 40 ACE finalists in 2025, and in 2026 the CAMX Award winners were announced at the Opening General Session. If you enter, we design a plinth and graphic for the entered part that can carry a finalist or winner tag the morning results are announced.

Halls A to D

The original exhibit halls, expanded over decades and used by large trade shows.

Our advice Configurations vary by show, so we draw large parts and tall elements only once the 2027 floor plan shows your hall.

B

Hall E

Added in the 2017 expansion, roughly 200,000 square feet and the building's newest, most flexible hall.

Our advice If CAMX spreads into Hall E, it suits equipment islands; we confirm rigging points before planning a hanging sign.

C

Grand Plaza

Outdoor event space from the 2017 expansion, used for receptions and activations.

Our advice Any outdoor part display depends on weather, power and rigging access, so we keep it as an add-on to an indoor booth.

Logistics for CAMX 2027, handled

Purple's venue guide counts 815,000 square feet of exhibit space at the Anaheim Convention Center, in Halls A to D and the newer Hall E from the 2017 expansion, with the outdoor Grand Plaza alongside. Under the Southern California labor agreement, exhibitors may set up only what one person can carry and assemble in under 30 minutes without tools, with nothing over 10 feet, so our project manager and vetted local labor handle the rest. CAMX linked a Freeman Exhibitor Service Manual for 2026, and we order through whichever contractor runs the 2027 kit. Our Anaheim drayage budget assumes roughly $170 to $180 for every 100 pounds, never less than a 200-pound charge, and the Anaheim Marriott and Hilton Anaheim are within walking distance.

CAMX exhibitors can find this building's hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines in our Anaheim Convention Center exhibitor guide.

What Purple handles

  • Inline, peninsula and island pricing against CAMX's per-corner charge
  • Sample counters with tethered coupons and low raking light
  • Part plinths and award-entry displays
  • Process video screens hung above the counter
  • Exhibitor kit orders, drayage and rigging for large parts

CAMX exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before CAMX

How much does a booth at CAMX 2027 cost?

At the 2026 rate a 10×20 inline is $8,200 in space and a 20×20 island $16,400 plus $1,640 for four corners; 2027 rates are not confirmed yet. Our 10×20 rental runs $7,500 to $15,000 and a custom 20×20 $50,000 to $120,000. Large parts, equipment rigging and Anaheim drayage move it most.

What is the deadline to book CAMX 2027?

ACMA and SAMPE have announced the dates, but no 2027 booking, award or exhibitor kit deadlines are posted, so they are not confirmed yet. Space is sold through the CAMX exhibit team and floor plan. For the build we want your design approved in early August 2027.

Can we rent a booth for CAMX?

Yes. We rent a CAMX kit with a printed fabric wall, a lit sample counter with recessed trays, a part plinth, a process screen and LED lighting, with freight, build and dismantle on one fixed proposal. CAMX also sells its own turnkey physical booth packages, and we can dress or add to those.

Can our team set up our own booth at the Anaheim Convention Center?

Only small items: one person, no hand tools, half an hour at most and no side longer than 10 feet. Anything larger, including frame walls, part plinths and machines, is union work, so our project manager arrives with vetted Orange County labor and your engineers stay free to prepare samples.

Can we bring a large part or running equipment to CAMX?

CAMX runs a Demo Zone for live demonstrations, and equipment makers exhibit presses, cutters and fiber placement systems. Equipment rules for 2027 are not confirmed yet; as soon as the CAMX kit is published we work through its power, guarding and rigging pages and order forklift and rigging labor for large parts.

What does drayage cost at CAMX in Anaheim?

For Anaheim in 2026 and 2027 Purple budgets roughly $170 to $180 for each 100 pounds of freight, billed on at least 200 pounds per shipment; the 2027 CAMX tariff will set the real figure. Composite parts are light but bulky, so we crate them to minimize cubic size and quote handling on its own proposal line.

Can we reuse our CAMX booth at other shows?

The sample counter and part plinth travel well: they suit SAMPE's spring conference, NPE for plastics and composites processing, and AMI Plastics World Expos. We swap the graphics per audience, store the kit between shows and update the parts gallery each year.

Which hall will CAMX 2027 use?

The 2027 hall is not confirmed yet. The Anaheim Convention Center has Halls A to D, Hall E from the 2017 expansion at roughly 200,000 square feet, and the outdoor Grand Plaza. We plan tall elements and large parts once the CAMX floor plan places your booth.

When is CAMX 2027?

October 18–21, 2027, at the Anaheim Convention Center, as ACMA has announced. The exhibition days inside that window are not confirmed yet; in 2026 the conference ran September 21–24 and the exhibition September 22–24, and in 2022 in Anaheim the exhibits opened October 19.

How many people attend CAMX?

CAMX 2025 in Orlando brought together nearly 6,000 attendees and more than 500 exhibitors, with 120+ conference presentations, 29 CAMX Award finalists and 40 ACE Award finalists. The 2023 Atlanta show set an exhibitor record of 525 on more than 130,000 square feet. Figures for 2027 are not confirmed yet.

Who organizes CAMX?

The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) produce CAMX together, and ACMA announced the 2027 Anaheim dates. ACMA also presents the Awards for Composites Excellence, and in 2026 the CAMX Award winners were named at the Opening General Session.

What awards can exhibitors enter at CAMX?

The CAMX Award has two categories: Combined Strength, for a team effort that pools knowledge, resources and talent, and Unsurpassed Innovation, for a novel design using low-cost materials in high-volume applications. ACMA's ACE program gives six awards, including Equipment and Tooling Innovation and Material and Process Innovation. Deadlines for 2027 entries are not confirmed yet.

Before you sign for CAMX

Ask any CAMX exhibit builder these five questions:

  1. Are all fees on paper, including what the contractor at the Anaheim Convention Center bills?
  2. Who actually builds it for CAMX: your shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Does your project manager stay on the floor through install and dismantle in Anaheim?
  4. What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
  5. Once CAMX closes, where does the booth go and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it to the Anaheim Convention Center, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for and bring it to CAMX.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We handle the ground work for CAMX: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager replying to your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? In two to three weeks, a rental with your graphics can be ready for Anaheim. We tell you on the first call what is realistic before CAMX.
