ANESTHESIOLOGY 2027 in Boston: booths that put the device in a physician's hand
We design ANESTHESIOLOGY booths around the hands-on moment: a laryngoscope, an ultrasound probe or an infusion pump an anesthesiologist can work in under two minutes. At the BCEC's union floor we plan Carpenters Local 327 labor and crate every piece for the advance warehouse.

What makes ANESTHESIOLOGY different, and how we build for it
ANESTHESIOLOGY is the American Society of Anesthesiologists' own annual meeting, so the aisles are filled by the people who run the airway, the pumps and the monitors in every operating room.ASA builds its exhibit hall around four ideas, SEE, TOUCH, LINK and LEARN, and in 2026 the floor held Center Stage with live Central Line podcast recordings, the Live with TopMedTalk stage, the Meet-Up Lounge, the ASA Resource Center & International Pavilion and a Career Fair on Saturday and Sunday. ASA keeps teaching out of the booth: exhibitors give product presentations only, while sponsored Hands-On Learning Labs and Satellite Symposia carry the deeper sessions. The hall shuts at 1:30 p.m. on its last day.
A device they can hold and use on a task trainer, the evidence summary beside it, and a rep who knows the case types: pediatric, regional, ambulatory and cardiac anesthesia all walk the same aisle.
Low-pressure hands-on time with airway and point-of-care ultrasound gear they will train on, and a reason to stop between the Career Fair and the next session.
Staffing, billing, scheduling and medication-safety answers at a seated table, since ASA's 2026 prospectus reports that 49% of surveyed visitors shape purchasing decisions.

Inside ANESTHESIOLOGY 2027
Rules that shape your booth
ASA's 2026 terms allow only normal sales presentations describing products and their functions in exhibit booths, and bar exhibitors from running or sponsoring independent education during the meeting week. We build a short demo stage and script screen loops that stay product-focused.
In 2026 exhibitor functions ran only in set hours, such as 6 to 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m. on Sunday, and every flyer needed ASA approval plus the line "This meeting is NOT an official program of ANESTHESIOLOGY 2026." We print that line into any event signage we make.
The 2026 hall left booths and side aisles uncarpeted; every exhibitor had to install or order flooring by 4:30 p.m. the day before opening, or show management laid it and billed the booth. We spec flooring firm enough for rolling anesthesia carts and lay it first.
For ANESTHESIOLOGY 2026 the Freeman warehouse refused uncrated or pad-wrapped freight, refrigerated goods and any single piece over 4,500 pounds or 108 by 93 by 144 inches. We crate workstations, carts and manikins inside those limits and ship temperature-sensitive supplies separately.
ASA sets each 8×10 Scientific and Educational booth with drape, a 6-foot table, one chair, carpet, a sign and a 500-watt outlet, while 10×10 commercial booths get drape, plus a sign at 300 square feet or less (2026). We design commercial booths from that bare start.
Programs worth planning for
ASA's juried exhibits for the 2027 meeting. Submissions open January 5 and close March 30, 2027, alongside scientific abstracts, for groups presenting educational or scientific work rather than products.
The exhibit-hall theater that hosted ASA's Central Line podcast recording and industry sessions in 2026. Sponsors bought 30-minute presentations at $10,000 each.
A Saturday late-afternoon hour in 2026 that sent attendees to participating booths for a cocktail, tasting or activation, at $800 per exhibitor in the 2026 prospectus.
A standalone, non-accredited session designed and delivered by the sponsor, listed in the program and app and marked as industry-supported. Topic needs ASA approval; $25,000 in the 2026 prospectus.

Pixee Medical at a medical technology congress
A focused, demo-first booth for augmented-reality surgical guidance, built so every visitor could try the technology while traffic kept moving.
Pixee Medical's booth let every visitor try the technology while the aisle kept moving, the same job an airway or ultrasound station does during ANESTHESIOLOGY's short hall hours.

04 Designing for airway, monitoring, infusion, ultrasound, patient warming and anesthesia practice companies at ANESTHESIOLOGY
Four things we get right for ANESTHESIOLOGY exhibitors
1TOUCH means a task trainer
ASA names TOUCH, live demonstration, as one of the four pillars of its exhibit hall. We build counters at standing height around an airway manikin or ultrasound phantom, with a mirrored screen above so the second row sees the glottic view or needle path while one anesthesiologist holds the device.
2Product talks, not lectures
Under ASA's 2026 terms, booths host only normal sales presentations describing products and their functions; independent education is off limits that week. We design a short-format demo stage with a screen loop and a presenter mark, and route any teaching ambition to Center Stage or a Hands-On Learning Lab.
Win the Saturday opening
In 2026 the hall opened Saturday at 10 a.m., the morning after the meeting began, and Monday closed at 1:30 p.m. We set every demo unit live before doors, place the strongest station on the busiest aisle face and plan Monday as a three-and-a-half-hour sprint with no slow first hour.
Seat the practice-management buyer
ASA lists billing services, staffing, practice management software and insurance beside laryngoscopes on its 2026 buyer list, and 51% of the audience comes from academic practice. We add a quiet seated table with a screen for dashboards, away from the hands-on stations, so a chair or administrator can stay twenty minutes.

Logistics for ANESTHESIOLOGY 2027, handled
Boston labor is union: anything beyond light hand work on the BCEC floor goes to Carpenters Local 327 under the official contractor, so our project manager directs vetted local carpenters from move-in to dismantle. In 2026 Freeman ran ASA's floor and its advance warehouse refused uncrated, refrigerated or oversize freight, so we crate demo carts, manikins and workstations to that standard. Boston drayage is among the most expensive anywhere: Purple's BCEC venue guide records $323.95 per hundredweight for crated advance-warehouse freight on another show's 2026 rate sheet, so we price ASA's own tariff on a separate proposal line once the 2027 kit is out. Your team can sleep at the Westin Boston Seaport District and walk its skybridge straight to the hall.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Boston Convention & Exhibition Center exhibitor guide.
Hall guide
Signature Boston's calendar lists ANESTHESIOLOGY 2027 at the BCEC in the Seaport. ASA publishes its hall map once space sales open, so here is how the building itself shapes an anesthesia booth.
516,000 square feet of column-free, contiguous exhibit space, which Purple's venue guide notes is split across three bays.
Our advice: Few columns means an island can sit almost anywhere, so we finish the layout after ASA assigns your number and aim the hands-on station at the main aisle.
A 40,020-square-foot ballroom overlooking the Boston Seaport, one of the building's largest rooms for general sessions and receptions.
Our advice: If you buy a Satellite Symposium or host an approved reception, we bring portable graphics and a screen stand that carry in by hand from the exhibit floor.
The BCEC spreads 82 meeting rooms across the complex for breakouts, workshops and smaller sessions.
Our advice: Meeting-room events need tabletop kits, not booth crates, so we pack a separate hand-carry case with banners and a demo tray.
Purple's venue guide notes that the Westin Boston Seaport District joins the convention center by a skybridge, and Signature Boston puts the World Trade Center Silver Line stop, on the line that serves Logan, a short walk from the building.
Our advice: Staff at the Westin can restock disposables and charged probes at midday, so we size booth storage for one day of demos.

ANESTHESIOLOGY exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before ANESTHESIOLOGY
How much does a booth at ANESTHESIOLOGY 2027 cost?
Space first: ASA charged $51 per square foot standard and $54.50 premium in 2026, plus $300 per open corner, so a standard 10×20 ran $10,200 before anything is built. A rental 10×20 from us runs $7,500 to $15,000 and a custom 20×20 island $50,000 to $120,000. Task trainers, large mirrored screens, Boston union labor and drayage move the total most.
When do we need to decide on an ANESTHESIOLOGY 2027 booth?
ASA has posted the Boston dates but not its 2027 exhibitor calendar. In 2026 Freeman's discount ordering closed September 15 and its warehouse opened about a month before the meeting, and ancillary event requests were due July 31. We plan backward from that pattern and need your design signed off by early August 2027.
Can we rent a booth for ANESTHESIOLOGY, and what does a rental include?
A Purple rental covers the frame, fabric graphics, LED lighting, demo counters at standing height, a lockable closet for probes and disposables and screen arms for your monitors, with freight and the Boston install and teardown priced together on one fixed proposal. Because ASA's 2026 hall had no carpet in booths, we add booth flooring to every rental. When the meeting ends the rental comes back to us.
Can we set up our own booth at the BCEC?
Only small, light pieces. In Massachusetts union carpenters from Local 327 build anything substantial on the BCEC floor, hired through the official contractor. Your clinical team can unpack demo devices and literature once the structure is up. We schedule those carpenters, put our own project manager in charge of them and have the airway stations powered before your reps land.
Can we hold a workshop or lecture in our ANESTHESIOLOGY booth?
No lectures. ASA's 2026 terms allowed only normal sales presentations describing products and their functions in exhibit booths, and barred exhibitors from running or sponsoring independent education during the meeting week. Deeper content goes through paid formats: a 30-minute Center Stage slot or a Hands-On Learning Lab. We build the in-booth demo to stay inside that line.
What does drayage cost in Boston, and who pays it?
Boston is one of the priciest drayage markets. Purple's BCEC venue guide records a 2026 rate sheet from another show in the building at $323.95 per hundredweight for crated advance-warehouse freight, with a 200-pound minimum; ASA's own 2027 tariff arrives with its exhibitor kit. The exhibitor pays it. Anesthesia workstations and crated manikins are heavy, so we consolidate freight and show the estimate as a separate line.
Do we need our own flooring at ANESTHESIOLOGY?
In 2026, yes: ASA left booths and most aisles uncarpeted, required every exhibitor to provide flooring, and set a 4:30 p.m. deadline the day before the hall opened, after which show management could install it and bill you. We spec padded carpet or vinyl that suits rolling carts and order it with the rest of the build.
Can we host a dinner or reception during ANESTHESIOLOGY?
Through ASA's ancillary program. In 2026 functions ran only in set windows, such as before 7:30 a.m. or after 6 p.m. on Saturday, requests closed July 31, promotional pieces needed ASA approval and the line saying the event is not an official ANESTHESIOLOGY program, and room drops were banned. We plan the booth around your approved event.
Can we reuse our ANESTHESIOLOGY booth at other shows?
Our anesthesia counters and screen frames break down into modules, so the same kit can travel to AORN, the ATS International Conference or ACEP Scientific Assembly with new graphics for perioperative nurses, pulmonologists or emergency physicians. Between meetings we keep it in storage and rework the modules whenever the next society assigns a bigger or smaller space.
When is ANESTHESIOLOGY 2027?
ANESTHESIOLOGY 2027 runs Friday, October 15 to Tuesday, October 19, 2027, in Boston, per ASA's future-dates page, and Signature Boston books it into the BCEC for October 16–18. ASA's 2027 exhibit hall days are not confirmed yet; in San Diego in 2026 the hall ran Saturday to Monday, October 17 to 19.
Where is ANESTHESIOLOGY 2027 held?
In Boston, at the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC), 415 Summer Street in the Seaport. Signature Boston lists 516,000 square feet of column-free, contiguous exhibit space and places the building 2.9 miles from Logan International Airport, with the World Trade Center Silver Line stop a short walk away.
How many people attend ANESTHESIOLOGY?
ASA's corporate support page, last updated in 2022, cites 10,000 attendees, and ASA calls ANESTHESIOLOGY the largest anesthesia meeting in the world. The 2026 San Diego hall held more than 200 exhibitors, and 73% of the audience ASA reports are physician anesthesiologists, followed by interns and residents at 10% and medical students at 7%.
Who organizes ANESTHESIOLOGY?
The American Society of Anesthesiologists runs the meeting as its flagship event. For 2026 Showcare handled exhibit and sponsorship sales, Freeman was the service contractor and onPeak the official housing provider. ASA also runs ASA ADVANCE, a separate anesthesia business event held January 22–24, 2027 in the Washington, D.C. area.
How do I get a booth at ANESTHESIOLOGY?
Space is sold through ASA's Exhibitors & Sponsors page in 10×10 units, and each 10×10 came with two exhibitor badges in 2026, when exhibitor badges were priced at $110 through August 18 and $170 after. Add-ons such as the $4,500 Enhanced Booth Package or the Exhibit Hall Passport drive traffic. Once your space is assigned, we design to your booth number.
Before you sign with anyone
Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for ANESTHESIOLOGY:
- Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
- Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
- Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
- What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
- Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?
Common situations
Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.
Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.
Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
