Pulmonary, critical care and sleep in one aisle: CHEST 2028 booths in Denver
Your CHEST 2028 booth gives a pulmonologist, an intensivist and a sleep physician each a station they recognize, with the ventilator or scope working where they can see it. In Denver we plan for the Colorado Labor Peace Act, the labor rules of whichever building CHEST names, and CHEST's own drawing approvals.

What makes CHEST different, and how we build for it
CHEST is the American College of Chest Physicians' own meeting, and its floor is narrower and deeper than a general medical show: pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine, plus interventional pulmonology.CHEST's 2024 prospectus lists pulmonary medicine for 59% of attendees and critical care for 51%, so most visitors hold two hats. In the 2026 hall, Experience CHEST with the CHEST Store, the Poster Pavilions and Rapid-Fire Presentation Areas, CHEST Games with its escape rooms, and Learning Theaters that sold out all pulled clinicians onto the floor during unopposed hours. The 2028 edition moves to Denver, with CHEST 2025 in Chicago drawing 7,271 professional attendees.
The bronchoscope, valve, catheter or spirometry system in hand, the working end on a close-view screen, and a colleague-level conversation about procedure fit and workflow.
A ventilator, monitoring platform or airway product running in a realistic mode, alarm behavior they can see and hear at booth volume, and a seat to talk through ICU rollout.
Home sleep testing and therapy devices they can pick up, data screens that read at a glance, and take-away material that a fellow can hand to a program director.

Inside CHEST 2028
Rules that shape your booth
Under CHEST's 2025 rules, inline back walls and signs top out at 8 feet, and display material in the front 5 feet stays under 4 feet. We put screens and tall carts against the back wall and draw the front as an open counter.
Islands of 20×20 or larger may reach 20 feet where space permits, must be open on all four sides with a see-through effect, and need CHEST's written approval of dimensioned renderings. We submit full drawings, and raise any covered or multilevel plan with CHEST early.
CHEST's 2025 terms refused cosmetics, beauty products, nerve stimulation and anti-aging devices, including infrared, LED, TENS and EMS units, and closed offending booths without refund. We build graphics only from the product list on your approved application.
Under the 2025 terms, demonstrations had to stay inside your space, short of the aisle line, with room left for spectators and volume kept below a level that disturbs neighbors. We set device stations back from the aisle and test ventilator alarms at booth volume.
CHEST's 2025 terms required booths to stay intact and staffed through all exhibition hours; leaving early cost priority points and could bar you from future meetings. We schedule dismantle crews only after the official close and pack nothing while the hall is open.
Programs worth planning for
CHEST's own area in the exhibit hall in 2026, with bite-sized talks from leading chest medicine names, the CHEST Store and a free T-shirt giveaway that keeps clinicians moving through the floor.
Industry presentations on clinical insights held in the exhibit hall; CHEST 2026 offered 32 slots and sold out, with a waitlist run by the exhibits team. Exhibitors book them through CHEST's sales staff.
Live presentations of research and case reports on the exhibit floor in 2026, which bring fellows, residents and researchers into the hall between sessions.
Interactive education in the 2026 exhibit hall, including escape rooms, run by CHEST and open to attendees; a traffic magnet for the aisles around it.
CHEST is the fall U.S. meeting for pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine, with 7,271 professional attendees in 2025; choose it over the ATS International Conference when your device lives in the ICU, the sleep lab or the bronchoscopy suite. Compare every medical devices show we build for →

Popular booth sizes at CHEST
CHEST's 2026 exhibits page lists space from 10×10 up to 60×70 feet, with inline, corner and island rates. For a device company we recommend starting at a 10×20 with one running demo, and a 20×20 island once a ventilator, a scope tower and a sleep station must share the floor.

One device station with a close-view screen at the 8-foot back wall, a counter in the rear half and an open front kept under the 4-foot limit in CHEST's 2025 rules.

Case study · Pixee Medical
Pixee Medical at a medical technology congress
A focused, demo-first booth for augmented-reality surgical guidance, built so every visitor could try the technology while traffic kept moving.
Pixee Medical needed surgeons to try guidance technology without stalling the aisle; a CHEST exhibitor running a bronchoscope or ventilator demo has the same problem.

04 Designing for pulmonary, critical care, sleep and interventional pulmonology device brands at CHEST
Four things we get right for CHEST exhibitors
1Draw the inline under 8 feet
CHEST's 2025 rules cap inline back walls at 8 feet including signs and logos, and hold anything in the front 5 feet to 4 feet. We put the ventilator cart and the tall screen against the back wall and keep the front of the booth as an open counter that pulls clinicians in.
Keep the demo and its crowd inside
CHEST's 2025 terms required demonstrations to stay off the aisle line and left it to you to make room for spectators, at a volume that does not disturb neighbors. We set the bronchoscopy or ventilator station back from the aisle with standing room in front, and tune alarm and audio levels before the hall opens.
Design for three subspecialties at once
CHEST's 2024 prospectus lists pulmonary medicine for 59% of attendees, critical care for 51%, sleep for 12% and interventional pulmonology for 9%. We label stations by clinical setting, ICU, procedure suite and sleep lab, so a visitor finds their product in one glance from the aisle.
Ride the Experience CHEST traffic
In 2026 CHEST filled its hall with Experience CHEST talks, the CHEST Store, Poster Pavilions and CHEST Games escape rooms, so clinicians crossed the floor in waves. We face your strongest demo toward the main cross-aisle and keep a second, seated station for the longer talk after a session lets out.

Logistics for CHEST 2028, handled
CHEST has not named its 2028 Denver building, so the venue is not confirmed yet, and our Denver planning draws on Purple's experience at the Colorado Convention Center, the city's main exhibit hall. Colorado's Labor Peace Act sits between right-to-work and union-shop rules; at that building a full-time employee may set up a display alone only when it takes under 60 minutes without mechanized tools, and anything bigger goes through IATSE Local No. 7 or the official contractor. Freeman ran CHEST's exhibitor services kit in 2025 and 2026, and CHEST's 2025 terms required an independent contractor notification form and a $1,000,000 insurance certificate from outside builders. Purple's venue-guide drayage figure for that hall is about $160 per hundredweight for 2026–2027, and we file every form on CHEST's 2028 calendar once it is published.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Colorado Convention Center exhibitor guide.
Hall guide
CHEST has not named its 2028 Denver building. The Colorado Convention Center is Denver's main exhibit building, and this is Purple's experience of how its halls work for a medical meeting.
Six halls totaling 577,000 square feet, all at one level, that the building joins or splits per event; the floor spans multiple city blocks.
Our advice: Dock-to-booth distance varies across a floor this long, so we weigh ventilators and scope towers early and book material handling for the hall we are given.
Two ballrooms and an indoor amphitheater added in the 2004 expansion, used for general sessions; their rigging points are their own, distinct from the halls.
Our advice: When a CHEST sponsorship puts your name in these rooms, we order its signage and rigging apart from the booth so neither order holds up the other.
A direct connection joins the building to its Hyatt Regency Denver, and RTD light rail plus the 16th Street Mall shuttle stop close by.
Our advice: When a show uses this building, staff at the connected hotel can reset demo units before opening without crossing the street, which matters with a running ventilator.

CHEST exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before CHEST
How much does a booth at CHEST 2028 cost?
Plan the build and the space as two budgets. A 10×20 rental runs $7,500 to $15,000 and a custom 10×20 $15,000 to $45,000; a 20×20 custom island runs $50,000 to $120,000. At CHEST, running ventilators, scope towers and close-view cameras move our number. CHEST charged $50 per square foot inline in 2026; 2028 rates are not confirmed yet.
What is the deadline to book a booth for CHEST 2028?
CHEST's 2028 exhibitor deadlines are not confirmed yet. For CHEST 2025, full payment was due with any application from May 1, island renderings by August 1 and contractor notification by August 15. In 2026 space sold first come, first served, so we recommend booking early and signing off our design by late July 2028.
Can we rent a booth for CHEST 2028, and what does a rental include?
A rental fits a team testing CHEST for the first time. Our fixed proposal covers the frame, printed fabric graphics, lighting, a lockable device counter, a monitor mount for the close-view feed, freight, installation and dismantle. Your ventilator or scope travels with our crates, and the rental structure stays with us after Denver.
Can our own staff set up the booth in Denver?
Only a small display. In Purple's experience at the Colorado Convention Center, Denver's main hall, a full-time employee may set up alone if the job takes under 60 minutes without mechanized tools; dollies, forklifts and longer builds go to IATSE Local No. 7 or the official contractor. Until CHEST names its 2028 building, we plan to that stricter rule.
How tall can our booth be at CHEST?
Under CHEST's 2025 rules, inline booths stop at 8 feet, signs included, and the front 5 feet stay under 4 feet. Islands of 20×20 or more may reach 20 feet where space permits, must stay open on four sides and need CHEST's approval of renderings. We draw to those limits from the first concept.
What products can't we show at CHEST?
Under its 2025 terms, CHEST refused exhibitors that promote cosmetics or beauty products, nerve stimulation or anti-aging devices, including infrared, LED, TENS and EMS units, and closed booths found selling them. The same terms limited you to the products named on your application, so we build graphics from that product list.
What does drayage cost for CHEST in Denver, and who pays it?
The exhibitor pays it, billed by weight by the official contractor that moves freight from the dock to your booth. Purple's venue-guide figure for the Colorado Convention Center is about $160 per hundredweight with a 200-pound minimum for 2026–2027, and we put the estimate on its own line. Ventilators and scope towers are the heavy part, so we weigh them early.
Can we reuse our CHEST booth at ATS or other shows?
We build the frame modular so the same booth can work the ATS International Conference, AACN's NTI or ACEP's Scientific Assembly with new graphics. Between meetings it stays in our warehouse, and we ship it to whichever advance warehouse comes next with the demo carts packed in their own crates.
Do you handle Freeman orders for CHEST?
Freeman hosted CHEST's exhibitor services kit in 2025 and 2026; the 2028 contractor is not confirmed yet. We order power, rigging, flooring and material handling from whichever firm CHEST names, file the independent contractor notice with our insurance certificate, and send you copies of every order.
When is CHEST 2028?
CHEST 2028 runs October 8–11, 2028, per the American College of Chest Physicians' list of future annual meetings. Which days the 2028 hall opens is not confirmed yet. CHEST 2026 ran its hall over the meeting's final three days and closed at 2:30 p.m. on the final day.
Where is CHEST 2028 held?
CHEST 2028 is in Denver, Colorado. CHEST has published the city but not the building, so the venue is not confirmed yet, and we do not assume the Colorado Convention Center until CHEST names it. Denver International Airport (DEN) is the arrival point, about 30 to 40 minutes from downtown.
How many people attend CHEST?
CHEST reported 7,271 professional attendees at CHEST 2025 in Chicago and 6,838 at CHEST 2024 in Boston. CHEST 2023 drew 5,956 professional attendees, so the meeting has grown each year since. The audience mixes physicians, fellows-in-training, residents and nonphysician clinicians. Attendance for 2028 is not confirmed yet.
Who organizes CHEST?
The American College of Chest Physicians, which calls itself CHEST, runs the meeting and sells exhibit space directly through its exhibits and sponsorships team. Under its 2025 terms CHEST accepted or rejected each exhibitor application and approved every island layout, and its staff take Learning Theater bookings and waitlists.
Before you sign with anyone
Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for CHEST:
- Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
- Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
- Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
- What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
- Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?
Common situations
Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.
Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.
