What makes FRSA Expo different, and how we build for it
The Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Expo is the trade floor of FRSA's Annual Convention, and FRSA marks 2027 as the association's 105th year.The expo gives exhibitors 10 conflict-free hours over two days in Halls A–E, admission is free for roofing and sheet metal contractors, and non-exhibiting suppliers pay $295 a badge, which keeps the aisles full of buyers. The convention around it fills the rest of the week: Florida Building Code and OSHA seminars with CE credit, the S.T.A.R. The 2027 floor opens Thursday, July 8 and Friday, July 9 at Gaylord Palms, about four weeks later than the June 2026 show. Machinery move-in on Tuesday, July 6 now falls right after the July 4 holiday, so book carriers and install crews early. source
Inside FRSA Expo 2027
Rules that shape your FRSA Expo booth
FRSA reserves the right to approve exhibitors based on their products, services and relevance to the roofing industry, and an application does not guarantee space (2027 vendor application). We write your company description around the roofing use of your product.
Machinery exhibitors and vehicle displays move in Tuesday, July 6, 8 to 10 a.m., and exhibits of 400 square feet or more from 10 a.m. (2027 schedule). We book that slot and place heavy units before the structure goes up.
Contractors enter free, but non-exhibiting manufacturers, distributors and suppliers pay $295 a badge and service providers $995. Your own staff need only complimentary exhibitor badges, so we plan booth staffing without extra badge costs.
FRSA issues no badge to anyone under 18, so family members cannot staff or visit the booth. We plan your booth staffing and install labor around adult badge holders only.
Programs worth planning for
The Spotlight Trophy for the Advancement of Roofing for FRSA member contractors in Low-Slope, Steep-Slope, Craftsmanship and Community Service; suppliers may enter on a contractor's behalf. 2027 entries close March 15, 2027.
FRSA ran 27 seminars in 2026 with WPS, general, advanced, workers' comp and wind mitigation credit, at $50 per hour and 20% off for members.
The primary fundraiser for the FRSA Educational & Research Foundation, set up outside the expo hall in the prefunction area with online bidding; in 2026 bidding closed Friday at 2 p.m.

FRSA sells a standard 10×10 at $2,500 for 2027, with member and multiple-booth discounts, so most exhibitors combine two or more units; FRSA's move-in schedule gives exhibits of 400 square feet and larger their own Tuesday window. We start at a 10×20 with one assembly and scale to a 20×20 island for machinery or a truck.

FRSA's 2026 seminar list opened with Florida Building Code 9th Edition roofing changes, so contractors walk in thinking about underlayment and uplift. We build your section from the product team's approved configuration, label each layer and post the code or product approval reference beside it.
2Use all ten conflict-free hours
FRSA schedules no competing program during the expo's ten hours, Thursday 11 to 5 and Friday 10 to 3. We plan staffing in two shifts, put the sample tray and lead capture where the Thursday lunch crowd stops, and keep a seat free for Friday's slower, deeper buying talks.

Logistics for FRSA Expo 2027, handled
The FRSA Expo fills Halls A–E of the Gaylord Palms convention center, with registration in the Expo Lobby on Level 1. FRSA's 2027 schedule opens move-in on Tuesday, July 6 (machinery and vehicles 8 to 10 a.m., exhibits of 400 square feet and larger from 10 a.m.), continues Wednesday and early Thursday, and closes with move-out Friday, July 9, from 3 to 10 p.m. Florida is right-to-work, so your full-time staff may build beside our project manager and vetted local labor. Encore runs rigging and AV, and power and internet are resort-exclusive, so we order them at early pricing. The resort dock also serves banquets, so we ship to the advance warehouse.

When is the FRSA Expo 2027?
The 2027 Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Expo is open Thursday, July 8, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, July 9, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee. The dates of the wider 2027 convention program are not confirmed yet; in 2026 the convention ran June 10–12 with the expo on its last two days.
Where is the FRSA Expo held?
At the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, 6000 W Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee, Florida, in convention center Halls A–E. FRSA's registration desk sits in the Expo Lobby on Level 1, and FRSA warns that the walk from parking to the expo hall is long.

FRSA reports over 4,800 attendees in 2026, including contractors, building officials, architects and suppliers, and over 250 exhibiting companies. Roofing and sheet metal contractors attend the expo free of charge.

Under Florida right-to-work rules, your full-time employees can put up the booth with their own tools. Outside labor works through the show contractor or an approved exhibitor-appointed contractor; we file as yours with the resort and bring our own project manager with vetted local labor.
Can we run a vehicle or machine in our FRSA booth?
FRSA plans for it: machinery and vehicle displays get the first move-in slot, Tuesday 8 to 10 a.m. We need each unit's weight, footprint, power and fuel status at design sign-off, place it first and build around it. Running demonstrations get a fenced operator zone and a clear viewing side.
What does a Purple rental include at FRSA?
Structure, printed fabric graphics, LED lighting, counters with lockable sample storage, flooring, freight to the advance warehouse, install and dismantle, on one fixed proposal. Many roofing manufacturers rent the frame and own the assembly cutaways, so the sections travel to every regional roofing show afterward.
Can we reuse the booth at other roofing shows?
We design it in modules: the cutaways and graphics that work for Florida contractors also suit the International Roofing Expo in Las Vegas, the Carolinas Roofing Expo and the IIBEC Convention. Between shows we store the booth and swap graphics for new product launches.
Where do exhibitors stay for the FRSA Expo?
Gaylord Palms is the host hotel, and in 2026 FRSA also held an overflow block at Delta Hotels by Marriott Orlando Celebration, less than a mile away, at $118 plus tax with parking and resort fees included. The 2027 room block is not confirmed yet; we will place your team nearby once it is.
Who organizes the FRSA Expo?
The Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Contractors Association (FRSA) runs the expo with its Annual Convention, and 2027 marks the association's 105th year. The Foundation Auction in the prefunction area outside the expo hall is the main fundraiser for the FRSA Educational & Research Foundation.
