What makes MT Series SOUTHEAST different, and how we build for it
MT Series SOUTHEAST is SME's Carolinas machine tool show, the event once called SOUTHTEC, co-produced with AMT and back at the Greenville Convention Center for October 19–21, 2027.Its crowd is regional: in SME's 2025 report 87 percent of visitors came from the Southeast, from plants such as Michelin, Robert Bosch, BorgWarner, GE Vernova and Lockheed Martin. Beyond the booths, SOUTHEAST adds Secure Shop, a Pop Up Factory: Powered by Tulip running a live assembly and inspection workflow, and the Bright Minds College Experience. A booth here sells to engineers who toured three plants that week.

SME's 2027 tiers above 200 square feet include unloading, delivery to the space, a single equipment spot by crane and empty storage, with any re-spot charged. For SOUTHEAST we set machine positions on the plan before the trucks reach Exposition Drive.
SOUTHEAST booths of 100 to 200 square feet receive SME's decorator package: rear wall 8 feet high, 3-foot side rails, table, chairs, sign, carpet and one 110V outlet. We swap the drape for a lit frame and add the circuits a demo draws.
The Greenville Convention Center publishes Hall 1's ceiling at 10 to 22 feet and its drive-in doors at 16 feet high. We size SOUTHEAST machine enclosures, towers and hanging signs to the clearance at your booth before production.
SME's Events Code of Conduct, which applies at SOUTHEAST, allows open alcohol only in designated areas and bars entering another exhibitor's booth uninvited. We plan client time around SME's networking receptions, not a booth bar.

Four things we get right for MT Series SOUTHEAST exhibitors
1Read the ceiling before the sign
The Greenville Convention Center lists Hall 1's ceiling at 10 to 22 feet and Hall 2's at 19 to 22. A hanging sign or tall machine enclosure that works in Hall 2 may not fit a low bay in Hall 1, so we check your booth number against the ceiling plan first.
2Size the machine to the doors
The center's drive-in doors measure 38 feet 8 inches wide by 16 feet high, and full width needs a center post removed; its truck docks are 12 to 14 feet wide. We send the machine's crated height and width to the contractor so it rolls straight to your space.
3Show a part they already make
SME's 2025 SOUTHEAST visitors came from automotive and transportation, aerospace and defense, and electronics and technology companies, Caterpillar and Hendrick Motorsports among them. We build the demo around a part family from those sectors and post cycle time and tolerance beside it.
4Stand near Secure Shop and Tulip

125,000 square feet, 200 by 600 feet, with a ceiling that ranges from 10 to 22 feet.
Our advice The low points matter for machine enclosures and hanging signs; we place tall equipment under the high bays once the booth number is known.
Hall 2
105,000 square feet, 250 by 400 feet, with ceilings of 19 to 22 feet.
Our advice The more even ceiling suits a hanging sign over a 20×20 or larger island, so we draw signs to the published height.
Conference Hall
50,000 square feet, 250 by 200 feet, ceilings of 20 to 23 feet, with its own 15-by-14-foot dock door.
Our advice Its smaller dock door limits crate size, so we split large exhibits into pieces under 14 feet high for this hall.
Drive-in doors and docks
Two drive-in doors 38 feet 8 inches wide by 16 feet high, full width only with a center post removed; truck docks 12 to 14 feet wide.

Logistics for MT Series SOUTHEAST 2027, handled
The Greenville Convention Center offers 280,000 square feet of exhibit and event space on Exposition Drive, with Hall 1 at 125,000 square feet, Hall 2 at 105,000 and a 50,000-square-foot Conference Hall. Freight moves through docks 12 to 14 feet wide and two sets of drive-in doors 38 feet 8 inches wide by 16 feet high, and Encore manages the building's lighting and staging. Under SME's 2027 packages, booths over 200 square feet get unloading, delivery and one crane placement of each machine at no extra charge. We map your machine to the right door, run the build with your Purple project manager directing the local labor, and fly your team into GSP, about 15 minutes away.

How much does a booth at MT Series SOUTHEAST 2027 cost?
A machine exhibitor here usually takes a 20×20: $16,000 of Silver space at SME's 2027 rate of $40 per square foot, plus $50,000 to $120,000 for a custom island from us, or $16,000 to $40,000 as a rental. Guarding, compressed air and a second machine add the most.
What is the deadline for MT Series SOUTHEAST 2027?
SME has posted no 2027 form or booking deadline yet; its exhibit page says the earliest signers get first choice of position. For an October 19 opening we need design sign-off in early August 2027, and earlier if a machine builder must allocate a demo unit.
Can we rent a booth for SOUTHEAST, and what comes with it?
Our SOUTHEAST rental package is a frame with fabric graphics, LED lighting, a parts display and a seated quote table, sized to sit beside a running machine, with shipping, on-site build and teardown on one fixed price. The machine itself ships from the builder, and we schedule the two together.
Will a tall machine or hanging sign fit in the Greenville Convention Center?
It depends on the hall. The center publishes ceiling heights of 10 to 22 feet in Hall 1, 19 to 22 feet in Hall 2 and 20 to 23 feet in the Conference Hall, and drive-in doors 16 feet high. We check your booth location against those numbers before anything is built.
Does SME include machine handling at SOUTHEAST?
For booths larger than 200 square feet, the 2027 Silver, Gold and Platinum packages cover unloading, delivery and a single spot of each machine by crane, plus empty storage. A second move inside the booth is billed. Bronze booths of 100 to 200 square feet receive a decorator package instead.
Which hall will MT Series SOUTHEAST use?
The SOUTHEAST hall for 2027 is not confirmed yet, since SME has released no floor plan. The 2025 show used 68,000 square feet of the building, which offers Hall 1, Hall 2 and the Conference Hall. We plan doors, docks and ceiling clearance once your booth number is known.
Can our SOUTHEAST booth be reused at other shows?
SOUTHWEST opens in Dallas on November 2, 2027, just 12 days after SOUTHEAST closes, so we build counters and frames to pack fast and ship straight there. The same kit also suits EAST in May and WEST in Long Beach in November, with regional graphics swapped.
Do you place the contractor orders for SOUTHEAST?
We do, as soon as SME opens the 2027 exhibitor kit: electrical, compressed air, labor, rigging and any carpet your tier does not include. The center works with Encore for lighting and staging. You receive one priced list of every order.
When is MT Series SOUTHEAST 2027?
