Plastic Surgery The Meeting 2027, Baltimore: booths a surgeon can handle

We build PSTM booths around the product in a surgeon's hands: implant sizers, mesh and matrix samples, instrument trays and a model station, with a seat for the practice owner one step back. In Baltimore, a non-right-to-work city, we plan union install labor and drayage before you sign.

What makes Plastic Surgery The Meeting different, and how we build for it

Plastic Surgery The Meeting is the American Society of Plastic Surgeons' own annual meeting, run with The Plastic Surgery Foundation, the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons and The Rhinoplasty Society, so aesthetic and reconstructive buyers walk the same floor. ASPS schedules unopposed exhibit hours, sends surgeons to the ASPS Center Stage beside the ASPS Resource Center, and fills Innovation Theaters A and B with satellite symposia. In 2026 residents carried score cards through the YPS Scrub Games, the Inventors Challenge crowned a Top Innovator, and live injectable or laser demos needed ASPS Development Committee approval. Booth space goes out in Priority Points order.

Aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeons

The implant, matrix, energy device or instrument in hand, outcome data a peer can question, and five minutes with a clinical specialist who knows the procedure, not a script.

Residents, fellows and medical students

A fast, hands-on station they can try between sessions, a reason to come back once they choose a practice, and staff who treat a trainee as next year's buyer.

Practice managers and office professionals

Pricing, financing, software workflows and ordering terms laid out at a seated table, apart from the clinical demo crowd, with a takeaway the surgeon can sign off on later.

Your team in Baltimore

Two shops, one project manager, every hall

We build in our own production shop in Fishkill, NY, and our Las Vegas hub, ship to Baltimore, and install with our own project manager on the floor and vetted local labor. Predictable 30–45-day turnarounds, secure storage and pre-show QA.

Your team walks into a lit, stocked booth. You just show up.

Rules that shape your booth

Live treatments need committee approval

Injectables, lasers, energy treatments and any live subject need ASPS Development Committee approval, a $2,500 fee, a host-state licensed provider overseen by a board-certified ASPS member, on-label use and no sedation (2026 rules). We file the request packet and build a screened bay only once approval lands.

Organizer rule

Every booth needs flooring

ASPS carpets the aisles but requires floor covering in every booth and leaves carpet, furniture and utilities out of the space price (2026 rates). We put flooring on the proposal from the first draft, with padding under the sample counters where staff stand all day.

Organizer rule

Island plans from 20×20 up

Islands start at 400 square feet, and in 2026 floor plans for every booth of 20×20 or larger were due to ASPS by July 31 with the booth event forms. We draw the island, its hanging sign and any demo bay early so the plan goes in with your forms.

Organizer rule

Giveaways go through ASPS first

In 2026 the raffle, giveaway and Product Description and Giveaway forms were all due August 14, and sponsor creative had to pass the ASPS Advertising Committee. We print nothing promotional into the booth until that approval is back.

Organizer rule

Stand by the deadline, stay to the close

In 2026 every booth had to be set with flooring down by the afternoon before opening, with no assembly during exhibit hours, and stay intact until the 1:30 p.m. Sunday close; early teardown could cost a future invitation. Our project manager schedules install and dismantle around both times.

Organizer rule

Programs worth planning for

Satellite Symposia in the Innovation Theaters

Company-run education sessions held in Innovation Theaters A and B on the exhibit floor or a convention center catering room, priced $25,000 to $32,000 by time slot in 2026, when approved live non-operative demonstrations were added.

ASPS Inventors Challenge

Plastic surgeon inventors present medical device ideas live to a judging panel for the Top Innovator title and a $10,000 prize. In 2026 four companies could sponsor at $10,000 each, with one representative serving as a judge.

Official details

PSTM Premier Sponsorship

Four tiers, Sapphire $150,000, Platinum $100,000, Gold $50,000 and Silver $25,000 in 2026, each buying an earlier round of Priority Space Selection plus extra exhibitor badges and branding on the hall floor.

Popular booth sizes at Plastic Surgery The Meeting

ASPS sells PSTM space by the 100 square feet: inline and corner booths come with an 8-foot back drape and 36-inch side rails, and islands start at 400 square feet (2026 rates). We recommend a 10×20 inline for a single implant, biologic or instrument line, and a 20×20 island when you launch a platform and need a closed consult corner.

Four things we get right for Plastic Surgery The Meeting exhibitors

A masked clinician in a cap and gown assessing a patient's jawline during a consultation1

Staff for the unopposed waves

In 2026 the PSTM hall ran unopposed from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., 12:30 to 2 p.m. and 3:30 to 5 p.m., and closed at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Traffic arrives in surges, so we open the front of the booth wide, put every hands-on station at the aisle line and set staff positions for the lunch rush.

2

Pick the demo ASPS allows

ASPS lets you run mannequin, synthetic-tissue and powered-off device demos without approval, but injectables, lasers and any live subject need Development Committee sign-off and a $2,500 fee (2026 rules). We build a model station by default and a screened, powered bay only when your approval is in.

3

Put the product on the counter

Surgeons at PSTM judge an implant shell, an acellular dermal matrix or a retractor by touch. We design low sample counters with fitted foam trays, a sizer set labeled by profile and volume, and a cleaning station, so a surgeon handles everything without waiting for staff to open a locked case.

4

Give trainees their own lane

ASPS's 2026 fact sheet counts 720 residents and fellows and 576 medical students, and the YPS Scrub Games send trainees booth to booth. We give them a quick hands-on station at the corner, so surgeons and practice managers keep the seated table for longer talks.

Logistics for Plastic Surgery The Meeting 2027, handled

Purple's experience in Baltimore: Maryland has no right-to-work law, so at the Pratt Street convention center two of your full-time staff may work about an hour of install and an hour of dismantle, and carpenters handle the rest while Teamsters move freight. Freeman was PSTM's official contractor in 2026, took only prepaid shipments consigned to it, and required every booth set with flooring down by the afternoon before opening, with no assembly during exhibit hours. We crate the booth to the contractor's warehouse, file the exhibitor-appointed contractor form and your certificate of insurance, and our project manager runs the floor with vetted Baltimore labor.

Hall guide

In Purple's experience, Baltimore's main exhibit hall is the Baltimore Convention Center at One West Pratt Street, beside the Inner Harbor. These are its spaces and what each one means for a plastic surgery booth.

Seven exhibit rooms

About 300,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space in seven rooms, in a 1,225,000-square-foot building that hosts national trade, medical and industrial shows.

Our advice: One contiguous floor lets an exhibit hall run long and open, so we plan sightlines for islands and hanging signs across the whole room.

Meeting rooms

50 meeting rooms with about 85,000 square feet of breakout space, used for breakouts and general sessions in hand-carry and tabletop formats.

Our advice: If you host a satellite symposium or focus group off the floor, we pack a light tabletop kit apart from the booth freight.

Main ballroom

A 36,672-square-foot ballroom that hosts galas and general sessions on its own rigging points, apart from the exhibit floor; the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor links in by an enclosed walkway.

Our advice: For an evening reception we carry the booth graphics into the room and order ballroom rigging as its own line.

What Purple handles

  • Island floor plans, booth event forms and the giveaway form to ASPS
  • Live-demonstration request packet and a screened demo bay when approved
  • Exhibitor-appointed contractor form and certificate of insurance
  • Sample counters with fitted trays for implants, matrices and instruments
  • Prepaid crates to the contractor warehouse, outbound labels and the trip home
  • Our own project manager running install, show days and teardown

Timeline, counted back from move-in

We need design sign-off by late June 2027.

  1. Late June 2027Design sign-off, with every sample tray, screen and demo bay drawn to your space assignment.
  2. July 2027Production in Fishkill, NY; island floor plans for 20×20 and larger go to ASPS on its schedule (the 2026 deadline was July 31).
  3. August 2027Giveaway, raffle and live-demonstration paperwork filed with ASPS; in 2026 these were due August 14.
  4. About 3 weeks before move-inCrates ship prepaid to the official contractor's advance warehouse; electrical, flooring and lead retrieval ordered.
  5. Days before September 16Move-in; our project manager and vetted local labor set the booth, lay the required flooring and test every screen.
  6. September 16–19, 2027Meeting days; the booth stays intact until the official close, then we dismantle and ship to storage or your next show.

Purple planning timeline. Official move-in, freight target and order deadlines come from your exhibitor kit and assigned schedule; we confirm them against your booth when you book.

Plastic Surgery The Meeting exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before Plastic Surgery The Meeting

How much does a booth at Plastic Surgery The Meeting 2027 cost?

For one implant, biologic or instrument line, plan on a 10×20 rental at $7,500 to $15,000; a custom 20×20 island for a platform launch runs $50,000 to $120,000. At PSTM the number moves with sample counters, a screened demo bay and the flooring ASPS requires in every booth. Space is billed by ASPS on top: $4,625 per 100 square feet inline at 2026 standard rates.

What is the deadline to book a booth for PSTM 2027?

ASPS opens space about eight months out. In the 2026 cycle, applications with a 50% deposit opened February 18, booths were assigned online May 4 to 8 by priority once invoices were paid, and early-bird rates ended June 12. We need your design signed off by late June 2027 to build in Fishkill in time for September.

Can we rent a booth for Plastic Surgery The Meeting, and what does a rental include?

Rentals suit PSTM well because the meeting moves city every year. Ours covers the frame, fabric graphics, sample counters with fitted trays, lighting, the flooring ASPS requires, freight, install and dismantle on one fixed proposal. After Baltimore it returns to us, and the 2028 Los Angeles booth can reuse the same counters with new graphics.

Can we set up our own booth in Baltimore?

Only a small one. In Purple's experience at the Baltimore Convention Center on Pratt Street, Maryland's union rules give two of your full-time staff about an hour each way, and carpenters do the rest. In 2026 ASPS wanted the exhibitor-appointed contractor form with the official contractor and the certificate of insurance with ASPS by August 28; we file both.

Can we run live injectable or laser demonstrations at our PSTM booth?

Only with approval. Under the 2026 rules, any live subject, injectable, laser or energy treatment, or powered device on a person needs ASPS Development Committee approval and a non-refundable $2,500 fee, a provider licensed in the host state, oversight by a board-certified ASPS member, on-label use and no sedation. Mannequin and synthetic-tissue demos need no approval.

What does drayage cost in Baltimore, and who pays it?

The official contractor bills material handling to you by weight, and all PSTM shipments in 2026 had to be prepaid and consigned to it. Our Baltimore planning number is roughly $140 a hundredweight, 200 pounds minimum, for 2026–27. Sample stock and demo devices add weight, so we crate them with the booth and show drayage as its own line.

How does ASPS assign booth space at PSTM?

In 2026 booths were assigned by priority after an application was on file and the invoice paid in full, and picking a rate did not fix a location. Premier sponsors chose first: Sapphire in round one, then Platinum, Gold and Silver. We draw a flexible concept early, then fit it to the space you are given.

Can we reuse our PSTM booth at other shows?

PSTM moves every year, so we build the counters and walls as modules that also fit the AAD Annual Meeting, ASLMS and The Aesthetic Show. We swap the graphics per audience, refit the sample trays to each product mix, and keep the kit in our storage until it ships to the next show's warehouse.

When is Plastic Surgery The Meeting 2027?

PSTM 2027 runs Thursday, September 16 to Sunday, September 19, 2027, in Baltimore, Maryland, per the American Society of Plastic Surgeons meetings calendar. In 2026 the exhibit hall opened on the meeting's second day and closed at 1:30 p.m. on the last; the 2027 hall dates are not confirmed yet.

Where is Plastic Surgery The Meeting 2027 held?

In Baltimore, Maryland. ASPS lists the city for September 16–19, 2027, and moves the meeting each year: Houston in 2026, Los Angeles on October 12–15, 2028, and Orlando in 2029. BWI Marshall is the city's airport, and ASPS opens a discounted hotel block through its housing provider.

How many people attend Plastic Surgery The Meeting?

ASPS's 2026 exhibitor fact sheet counts 3,363 total attendees, including 1,571 physicians, 720 residents and fellows and 576 medical students, with 16% from 80 countries, and 4,806 people in all once 1,443 exhibit staff are added. ASPS's 2021 fact sheet, built on the 2019 San Diego meeting, reported 3,565 attendees.

Is Plastic Surgery The Meeting open to the public?

No. The exhibit hall is included with meeting registration and needs a badge. Under ASPS's 2026 rules, children under 16 stayed out of the hall apart from infants carried or in strollers during show hours. Exhibitors get three badges per 100 square feet, and in 2026 extra exhibitor badges cost $600 each.

Who organizes Plastic Surgery The Meeting?

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, founded in 1931, which says it represents 92% of U.S. board-certified plastic surgeons. It runs the meeting with The Plastic Surgery Foundation, the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons and The Rhinoplasty Society. ASPS sells the booth space and sponsorships from its Arlington Heights, Illinois office.
