What makes Texworld NYC different, and how we build for it

Texworld NYC is Messe Frankfurt's fabric sourcing show on the East Coast, running at the Javits Center since 2006, with Apparel Sourcing NYC, a joint venture with CCPIT-Tex for finished garments and private label, beside it and Printsource next door for print and surface design. Product developers come to touch fabric: the Trend Showcase curated by Peclers Paris sets the season, Textile Talks and the Innovation Hub cover performance fibers, and the Deadstock area sells surplus fabric. Visitors can follow itineraries for Econogy, Small Quantity orders from 50 running meters and Domestic Sourcing. With over 430 exhibitors from 15+ countries in July 2026, many inside country pavilions, the booth that wins is the one that makes sampling easy.

Designers and product developers

They want to handle the fabric, see it in several colorways, read weight, composition and minimums on the header card, and leave with swatches for the next sample round.

Sourcing managers at brands and retailers

They compare mills and factories on price, lead time, compliance and minimum order, and need a seated conversation with someone who can quote.

Small and emerging brands

Through the Small Quantity and Domestic Sourcing itineraries they look for suppliers who accept short runs from 50 running meters or pieces and can produce in North America.

Rules that shape your Texworld NYC booth

Booths sold in square meter bands

Messe Frankfurt's inquiry form offers 9–11, 12–18, 19–27 and 28–30 square meter booths. We design to the band on your contract, converting to feet for the Javits floor plan so header rails and tables fit exactly.

Organizer rule

Thursday closes at 4 p.m.

In Winter 2027, Tuesday and Wednesday close at 5 p.m. while Thursday, January 21, closes at 4 p.m. Dismantle labor is booked for after the close, and fabric is boxed before the Teamsters arrive.

Organizer rule

Small Quantity means 50 meters

Texworld flags suppliers taking short runs, from 50 running meters or pieces, on its Small Quantity itinerary; Econogy covers certified sustainable materials and Domestic Sourcing covers North American production. We put the qualifying claim on your header where itinerary visitors look.

Popular booth sizes at Texworld NYC

Messe Frankfurt sells Texworld NYC booths in square meter bands, from 9–11 up to 28–30 square meters, and many mills show inside country pavilions. For a mill with a full fabric range we recommend a 10×20, close to the 19–27 square meter band; a garment maker showing samples and fabric together needs the largest band, near 10×30.

04 Designing for textile mills, trim suppliers and apparel manufacturers at Texworld NYC

Four things we get right for Texworld NYC exhibitors

Edge of a rolled multicolored knit fabric against a white background1

Hang fabric, not posters

At Texworld the product is the graphic. We build swatch walls with header-card rails grouped by fabric family, so a designer flips through colorways and reads composition, weight and minimum order on each card without asking.

Garment worker at a sewing machine in a bright textile factory2

Light that shows true color

Product developers judge color under hall light and then again in their own studios. We use high color-rendering LED strips on the swatch wall, matched to daylight, so a navy reads navy and buyers trust what they take home.

Textile worker folding finished fabric at a table in a factory3

Make swatching fast

Sample requests are how Texworld business starts. We add a cutting table with a swatch book stand, labeled drawers for header cards and a tablet for scanning badges, so each visitor leaves with fabric and you leave with the lead.

Man operating a weaving machine in a textile mill4

Speak the itinerary

Texworld points visitors to Econogy, Small Quantity and Domestic Sourcing exhibitors. If you qualify, we put that message on the header, for example certified fibers, runs from 50 running meters or North American production, where the visitor following the itinerary sees it first.

Our advice Inside a pavilion, the stand structure is the pavilion's; we bring header-card rails and lit panels that fit it.

B

Trend Showcase and Innovation Hub

The Trend Showcase curated by Peclers Paris and the Innovation Hub for high-performance fibers draw designers through the floor between appointments.

Our advice If your fabric is chosen for a showcase, we echo the same swatch and card on your booth so visitors find you after seeing it.

C

Javits docks

Freight checks in at the indoor marshaling facility and is delivered by Teamsters, billed by weight with minimums per shipment.

Our advice One consolidated, labeled load from Fishkill beats several small courier boxes that each pay a minimum.

05 Javits Center · New York

Logistics for Texworld NYC 2027, handled

Texworld NYC and Apparel Sourcing NYC run at the Javits Center on 11th Avenue, a union building where Teamsters move freight from the dock to the booth and bill it by weight, carpenters build anything bigger than a 250 square foot stand put up by your own staff without tools, and electricians handle power and lit signs. Trucks queue in the building's indoor marshaling facility until a dock calls them. Many exhibitors fly in from abroad, so we receive your fabric and samples at our Fishkill shop, build the booth there and deliver everything in one consolidated, labeled load, with our project manager on the floor through Thursday's 4 p.m. close.

Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Javits Center exhibitor guide.

Texworld NYC exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before Texworld NYC

When is Texworld NYC 2027?

The Winter 2027 edition of Texworld NYC runs January 19–21, 2027, with Apparel Sourcing NYC and Printsource at the same time. Doors open at 10 a.m. all three days; the Tuesday and Wednesday sessions end at 5 p.m. and Thursday ends an hour earlier. Summer 2027 dates are not confirmed yet.

Where is Texworld NYC held?

Messe Frankfurt holds Texworld NYC at the Javits Center on Manhattan's far west side, a short walk from Hudson Yards and the 7 train. Messe Frankfurt has not published which Javits level or hall the 2027 edition uses.

How many exhibitors are at Texworld NYC?

The July 2026 edition, Texworld NYC's 20th anniversary, had over 430 exhibitors from 15+ countries across Texworld, Apparel Sourcing, Home Textiles Sourcing and Printsource. For Winter 2027 Messe Frankfurt announces 400+ manufacturers and suppliers from around the world.

What is the difference between Texworld NYC and Apparel Sourcing NYC?

Texworld NYC is the fabric show: mills and textile suppliers selling to designers and product developers. Apparel Sourcing NYC, a joint venture of Messe Frankfurt and CCPIT-Tex, covers finished garments, contract manufacturing and private label. They share the floor and the dates.

What booth sizes does Texworld NYC sell?

Messe Frankfurt's exhibitor inquiry form offers booth sizes of 9–11, 12–18, 19–27 and 28–30 square meters, and many exhibitors show within country pavilions. Prices are quoted by the Texworld sales team rather than published.

How much does a Texworld NYC booth cost?

Space is priced by Messe Frankfurt's sales team, so start with their quote. For the build, a 10×20 rental fitted with swatch walls and lighting is $7,500 to $15,000, and a 10×30 rental with a sample rail $12,000 to $22,000, before Javits drayage and labor.

Who attends Texworld NYC?

Texworld NYC draws buyers, designers, product developers and sourcing professionals from U.S. fashion brands and retailers, plus smaller brands looking for low minimums. Messe Frankfurt reports thousands of industry professionals at each edition but publishes no exact attendance.

What is on the Texworld NYC show floor besides booths?

The floor includes the Trend Showcase curated by Peclers Paris, Textile Talks education sessions, the Innovation Hub for high-performance fibers, a Deadstock area for surplus fabrics and the Exhibitor Pitch. In July 2026 there were also tech pack workshops and a 20-year history installation.

Is Printsource part of Texworld NYC?

Printsource is a separate show for print and surface design studios, co-located with Texworld NYC and Apparel Sourcing NYC at the Javits Center in January 2027. Designers walk between them, so a mill with printed fabrics meets the same buyers who buy artwork.

Can we set up our own booth at Texworld NYC?

Javits rules allow your full-time employees to assemble a stand only up to 250 square feet and only without tools or ladders. Larger booths and anything needing tools go to union carpenters. We order that union labor and your Purple project manager supervises it, so your team just hangs the fabric.

How do overseas mills ship to Texworld NYC?

Overseas exhibitors can send fabric and samples to our Fishkill shop through their own freight forwarder and customs broker. We mount them on the booth there and deliver one labeled load to the Javits, which avoids several small shipments paying separate drayage minimums.

Who organizes Texworld NYC?

Messe Frankfurt Inc., the U.S. arm of the German trade fair company, organizes Texworld NYC and Apparel Sourcing NYC twice a year at the Javits Center. It also runs Texworld Los Angeles at the California Market Center, listed for June 22–24, 2027, so an overseas mill can plan both coasts.

Is Texworld NYC worth exhibiting at?

For mills, trim suppliers and garment makers selling to U.S. brands, it is one of the largest sourcing events on the East Coast, running since 2006. Mills selling premium European fabric to designers may also look at Première Vision New York the same week.

Before you sign for Texworld NYC

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for Texworld NYC:

  1. Will the proposal show every Texworld NYC fee, including show contractor charges?
  2. Who actually builds it for Texworld NYC: your shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor at the Javits Center for install and dismantle?
  4. For Texworld NYC, what is in the rental and what is billed by the show?
  5. Where is the booth stored after the show, and at what cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? Bring it: we refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it at Texworld NYC and store it until the next show. You keep the structure you paid for and bring it to Texworld NYC.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground at the Javits Center: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager on your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? In two to three weeks, a rental with your graphics can be ready for New York. We tell you on the first call what is realistic before Texworld NYC.
