BIO 2027Exhibitor guide: booth costs, dates and deadlines

For a partnering-heavy island, plan $50,000 to $120,000 custom for a 20×20 with two closed rooms, or $16,000 to $40,000 as a rental island; a 10×20 rental with one meeting point runs $7,500 to $15,000. Room count, acoustic panels and screens move the number, and BIO bills space and partnering accounts separately.

BIO 2027 space was first offered onsite at BIO 2026 in San Diego, where the Exhibit Sales office ran scheduled space selection for 2027 by priority points, and sponsorship adds to those points. Remaining space is sold by BIO's exhibit team on the 2027 floor plan, so we suggest picking a footprint before design starts.

A Purple rental for BIO covers the frame, fabric graphics, lighting, a host counter and meeting-point furniture, with room walls added where you need privacy. One fixed proposal prices freight both ways plus the build and strike crews, and the rental frames come back to our shop once Philadelphia closes.

Staff on your company payroll may put up and strip a BIO booth of any footprint themselves under the building's January 2026 rules, with their own power tools and ladders no taller than 6 feet, and lay their own flooring, provided no outside contractor is hired for that booth. Rented equipment and public-use computers stay with show labor.

Exhibitors may buy two partnering accounts per 100 square feet of booth, priced in 2026 at $750 for BIO members, $950 for non-members and $800 for pavilion exhibitors. Meetings run at meeting points inside your booth during exhibition hours, so we design each point as a table or room that can be named in the system.

BIO stages move-in by booth size. In 2026 exhibits of 1,500 square feet or more started first, then 800 and 400 square feet, then all exhibits, with every structure built by the evening before opening and only light work the first morning. The 2027 move-in schedule is not confirmed yet.

A BIO booth can travel: we build the meeting rooms and host desk so they move on to BIO Partnering at JPM, Biotech Showcase or CPHI Americas with new graphics. Between meetings the kit stays in storage, and we resize rooms to each event's footprint.

We do: we register as your Exhibitor Appointed Contractor with insurance before BIO's deadline (May 2 in the 2026 cycle), place Freeman orders for material handling, furniture and flooring before the advance date, and order electrical and rigging from the venue. You see every deadline on one schedule.

BIO 2027 runs Monday, June 7 to Thursday, June 10, 2027 in Philadelphia. BIO has also set San Diego for June 12–15, 2028, Boston for June 18–21, 2029 and Chicago for June 17–20, 2030.

The 2027 exhibition hours are not confirmed yet. In 2026 the BIO Exhibition ran all four days, June 22–25, with Exhibit Booth Partnering from 1 to 6 p.m. on the opening Monday, 9:30 a.m. starts after that and a 4 p.m. close on Thursday.

In Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Arch Street in Center City; BIO's 2027 exhibitor map places the exhibition in Exhibit Halls A–E on Level 2. The 2026 edition was at the San Diego Convention Center.

BIO counted 21,600 registrants, 1,650+ exhibitors, 66,308 partnering meetings and 73 countries at BIO 2025 in Boston; BIO 2024 in San Diego drew 19,608 registrants and 61,580 partnering meetings. Attendance for Philadelphia 2027 is not confirmed yet.

BIO 2025 had 1,650+ exhibitors: biotech and pharma companies, CDMOs, CROs and service firms, plus 65 domestic and international pavilions where a state or country hosts smaller companies under one roof. Partnering ran across 5,535 partnering companies that year, so many exhibitors come as much to meet as to be seen.

BIO pays off when partnering is the goal: 2025 logged 66,308 scheduled meetings among 10,780 partnering delegates, and a booth lets you host your share of them at your own meeting points. Companies that only want walk-up traffic get less from it, because delegates move between booked meetings on a fixed schedule.
