What makes ASHP Pharmacy Futures different, and how we build for it
Pharmacy Futures is ASHP's summer meeting, and its floor is built to be visited, not walked past.The Exploration Hall opens with the Grand Opening Reception on Sunday evening, and in 2026 ASHP served Lunch in the Exploration Hall on both weekdays and ran poster sessions there, so the hall stays full at noon. Around it run the ASHP Pharmacy Workforce and AI Summit, Sterile Compounding Training and the National Preceptors Conference. Exhibitors also get free VIP Exclusive Demos slots before the hall opens. The catch is ASHP's no-sales rule: no order taking at the booth, so the booth must teach and book the next meeting.
A clear operational case for automation, sterile compounding or a service contract, staffing and USP 797 implications spelled out, and a seat to book a follow-up visit, since ASHP bars order taking on the floor.
The software or dispensing workflow shown end to end on a real screen, how it connects to the EHR and their cabinets, and someone who can answer integration and alert-fatigue questions in detail.

Inside ASHP Pharmacy Futures 2027
ASHP Pharmacy Futures rules that shape your booth
ASHP prohibits solicitation, order taking and selling at Pharmacy Futures and enforces it by shutting booths down; exhibitors may not imply ASHP endorsement. We build lead capture and meeting booking into the counter instead of a sales desk.
Commercial demonstrations or presentations may run ten minutes at most, longer ones can carry extra charges, and no music may be played. We script short demo loops and size the screens and seating for a ten-minute visit.
Inline booths at Pharmacy Futures max out at 8 feet, solid construction over 4 feet must sit 5 feet back from the aisle, and hanging signs are island-only. We keep tall cabinets against the back wall and the front low.
Islands start at 20×20, rise to 25 feet, may not be multi-level and must stay 50 percent see-through; floor plans and elevations go to ASHP by April 22, 2027, or assembly can be refused. We file them with your sign-off.
Anything handed out or run in the booth, from packaged snacks to contests, needs ASHP approval, and the Booth Activity Approval Form is due May 7, 2027. Patient images must be de-identified. We file the form and scrub every case graphic.

Free pre- and post-show demonstration time in your own booth for invited customers: Sunday, June 13, 2027 from 8 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m., and Monday, June 14 from 8 to 11 a.m.

Four things we get right for ASHP Pharmacy Futures exhibitors
1Ten minutes per demo, then hand off
ASHP caps commercial demonstrations and presentations at ten minutes, and longer ones can carry extra charges. We script the booth around a ten-minute loop: one screen or device, one presenter, a short leave-behind, and a counter where the next conversation is booked instead of sold.
2Teach, because orders are banned
Order taking, solicitation and selling are prohibited at Pharmacy Futures, and ASHP enforces it by shutting booths down. So we give the graphics an educational job: workflow diagrams, USP 797 checklists and outcome data, with a QR code that books a demo at the customer's hospital.
3Use the hour before the hall
VIP Exclusive Demos let exhibitors bring invited customers into the booth free on Sunday, June 13 from 8 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m., and Monday from 8 to 11 a.m. We light and power the booth for those slots, so the hardware runs before the doors open.
4Islands stay half see-through
Pharmacy Futures islands top out at 25 feet, may not be multi-level, and must leave at least half of each side open to view. Counters sit a foot in from the aisle, demos five feet in. We draw the island to those numbers and send ASHP the plans by April 22, 2027.

Where you could be at ASHP Pharmacy Futures 2027
ASHP calls the Pharmacy Futures floor the Exploration Hall. The Seattle Convention Center spans two buildings, and the building for 2027 is not confirmed yet, so we plan freight for both docks until ASHP publishes it.
Exploration Hall
The exhibit floor, open eight hours over June 13–15, 2027. In 2026 it also held the Grand Opening Reception, both weekday lunches, poster sessions and a Booth Quest stamp card.
Our advice Visitors arrive in waves around receptions and lunch, so we leave the aisle edge clear for walk-ins and you staff hardest from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Executive Suites
Enclosed 264-square-foot rooms on the exhibit floor with 8-foot fabric hard walls, carpet, a table for six and company signage, $8,500 each for 2027.
Our advice A suite keeps scheduled meetings away from the booth counter; we brand its walls and add AV so it matches your booth.
Arch and Summit buildings
Arch at 705 Pike Street has six exhibit halls and two loading docks off Hubbell Place; Summit at 900 Pine Street adds 248,590 square feet of exhibit space and an 18-bay dock off Boren Avenue.
Our advice Each building has its own dock and hand-carry entrance with different clearances, so we label crates by building once ASHP assigns the hall.

Logistics for ASHP Pharmacy Futures 2027, handled
Shepard Exposition Services is the official contractor for Pharmacy Futures 2027, and its service kit with drayage, electrical, labor and carpet charges goes online in March 2027. Using Purple as your builder takes a written authorization filed with ASHP at least 30 days before the first move-in day, plus a certificate naming the Seattle Convention Center, Shepard, SPARGO and ASHP at $3,000,000. Move-in opens Friday, June 11 at 1 p.m.; every booth must be running by 3 p.m. Sunday. Our project manager leads install with vetted local labor, and only Shepard may hang an island sign.

How much does a booth at ASHP Pharmacy Futures 2027 cost?
ASHP charges $40 per square foot for 2027, so a 10×20 is $8,000 in space before any build. A Purple 10×20 rental adds $7,500 to $15,000; a 20×20 custom island runs $50,000 to $120,000. At this show the number moves with heavy automation hardware, an island's hanging sign, which only Shepard installs, and Seattle labor hours.
What is the payment deadline for Pharmacy Futures 2027 booth space?
ASHP requires full payment by January 8, 2027, and a cancellation on or after that date costs 100 percent of the contract. Contracts signed after January 8 are paid in full on submission. For the build, we need design sign-off in early April so island drawings reach ASHP by April 22.
Can we rent a booth for Pharmacy Futures, and what does a rental include?
A Purple rental for Pharmacy Futures is a complete kit: frame, printed fabric graphics, LED lighting, a counter built a foot in from the aisle, a lockable cabinet for demo hardware and the carpet ASHP makes every booth supply. Freight, install, dismantle and return are on one fixed proposal, and nothing is left for you to store after Seattle.
Can we use our own exhibit builder at the Seattle Convention Center?
You can, with paperwork. ASHP needs a written authorization naming each outside contractor, its address and on-site supervisor at least 30 days before the first move-in day, plus insurance of $3,000,000 naming the venue, Shepard, SPARGO and ASHP. Work still runs under Shepard's direction. We prepare both documents for your signature.
Can we run product demonstrations in our Pharmacy Futures booth?
Demonstrations are allowed if each runs ten minutes or less, stays inside your space and, for islands, sits five feet in from the aisle (2027 rules). Music is not allowed at all, and anything you hand out needs the Booth Activity Approval Form by May 7, 2027. Free VIP Exclusive Demos slots add time before the hall opens.
Can we take orders or sell at Pharmacy Futures?
Order taking is banned: ASHP treats the exhibits as part of an educational meeting and prohibits solicitation, order taking and selling, enforcing it by closing booths or removing exhibitors (2027 rules). Exhibitors may not imply ASHP endorses a product either. We design for qualified conversations: lead capture at the counter and a meeting booked for after the show.
Do you handle Shepard orders and drayage for Pharmacy Futures?
We do. Shepard Exposition Services is the official contractor, and its kit with drayage, electrical, furniture, labor and lead retrieval prices goes online in March 2027. Drayage is billed by weight to you, so once your crate list is set we put the Shepard estimate on its own line of the proposal and place the orders.
Should we book an Executive Suite at Pharmacy Futures?
If you hold scheduled meetings, it is worth pricing. ASHP sells Executive Suites on the exhibit floor for $8,500: 264 square feet, 8-foot fabric hard walls, carpet, a conference table, six chairs and company signage, open Sunday evening and from 8 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday. We can brand the walls to match your booth.
Can we reuse our Pharmacy Futures booth at ASHP Midyear?
Pharmacy Futures booths reuse well because we build them in modules: the same walls and counters scale up for the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting in December, the APhA Annual Meeting or NHIA. ASHP's 2027 packages count 10 priority points for exhibiting at both Pharmacy Futures and Midyear, and we store the kit between shows.
When is ASHP Pharmacy Futures 2027?
The meeting runs Saturday, June 12 to Wednesday, June 16, 2027. ASHP's 2027 schedule page opens the Exploration Hall Sunday, June 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. and Monday and Tuesday, June 14 and 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the 2027 rules list Monday as 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., so we staff for the longer window. Pharmacy Futures 2028 is set for June 3–7 in Charlotte.

At the Seattle Convention Center in downtown Seattle. The center has two buildings, Arch at 705 Pike Street and Summit at 900 Pine Street; which one holds the Exploration Hall is not confirmed yet. ASHP held the 2026 meeting in St. Louis, 2025 in Charlotte and 2024 in Portland, Oregon.

ASHP's 2027 exhibitor site describes more than 1,600 pharmacy professionals, a 20-to-1 ratio of attendees to exhibitors and more than 40 education sessions. For 2026 ASHP described the meeting as drawing more than 1,500 pharmacy professionals from leadership, managerial and supervisory roles.
Is ASHP Pharmacy Futures open to the public?
Pharmacy Futures is a professional meeting for registered attendees, and the 2027 rules bar children under 16 from the exhibits. Each 10×10 booth includes four exhibitor badges, and you may buy as many extra badges as your allotment; beyond that, staff register as attendees. The 2027 extra-badge price is not confirmed yet.
How do we get a booth at ASHP Pharmacy Futures?
ASHP runs the meeting and SPARGO, Inc. sells the space. New exhibitors apply online with a short description of their products for ASHP's review, since everything shown must interest hospital and health-system pharmacy. Returning exhibitors log in to reapply. Space is assigned by ASHP, partly by application date.
