Cleanup contractors and DOE sites: WM2027 booths in Phoenix

We build WM2027 booths that show a DOE site manager how your waste package, robot or detector fits a real cleanup job. In Arizona your own employees may build the booth at the Phoenix Convention Center, while forklift moves stay with the show contractor.

  • Mar 7–11, 2027 · Phoenix CC
  • 200+ exhibitors
  • 10×20 booth $10,700

What makes WM Symposia different, and how we build for it

WM is where the U.S. nuclear cleanup business meets: DOE Environmental Management, the contractors who run Hanford, Savannah River and Idaho work, utilities decommissioning reactors, and their suppliers.WM2027 in Phoenix runs under the theme Strengthening Our Nuclear Future, with the United Kingdom as Featured Country and Savannah River Site as Featured DOE Site. The US DOE EM Annual Business Opportunity Forum on Tuesday and the Employer and Job Seeker Matchmaking on Wednesday bring buyers and hiring managers. Diamond sponsors include Amentum, AtkinsRealis, Bechtel, BWXT and Fluor, and WM even sells 70-foot semi-trailer spaces, so a booth here competes with real cleanup equipment on the floor.

DOE and site contractor program managers

Proof your product has worked on a comparable waste stream or facility, the regulatory path it has cleared, and a contact who knows federal procurement.

Engineers and health physicists

The detector, container or remote tool in front of them, with dose, throughput and decontamination data on the wall beside it.

Students and early-career hires

A clear career story; WM runs student poster competitions, scholarships and a Wednesday job matchmaking session.

Your team in Phoenix

Built in two shops, run by one project manager

Your WM Symposia booth is built in our own production shop in Fishkill, NY, or at our Las Vegas hub, shipped to the Phoenix Convention Center and installed by vetted local labor with our own project manager on the floor. Every WM Symposia build runs a predictable 30 to 45 days and gets a pre-show QA, with secure storage after.

Your staff walks onto the WM Symposia floor and the booth is already lit and stocked. You just show up.

New at WM Symposia 2027

  1. A new Radium sponsorship level

WM added Radium at $9,950 between Silver and Gold, a category built from sponsor feedback, with one full technical and one young-professional registration. It gives mid-size suppliers a sponsor listing without the $13,950 Gold price. source

  2. United Kingdom and Savannah River in the spotlight

WM2027's Featured Country is the United Kingdom and its Featured DOE Site is Savannah River Site, which hosts a Tuesday evening reception. Suppliers with UK or SRS work should put those projects on the back wall this year. source

Rules that shape your WM Symposia booth

Booths over 400 square feet need approval

WM requires any booth larger than 400 square feet to submit its design to show management (2027 rates page). We send scaled drawings with heights and materials as soon as your space is confirmed.

Organizer rule

Carpet and furniture are mandatory

Booth furniture and carpet are required at WM2027 and are not part of the booth fee, which covers a power hookup, sign, wastebasket and cleaning (2027 rates page). We include flooring and furniture in the build.

Organizer rule

Hand-carry only on Sunday morning

WM's 2027 schedule allows full move-in on Saturday, March 6, but Sunday morning move-in is hand-carry only, and Thursday move-out is reserved for 20×20 booths and larger. We land all freight on Saturday.

Organizer rule

Insurance before passes

WM terms and conditions and a current certificate of insurance are required, and included passes cannot be used until both are submitted (2027 policies). We send you the insurance wording our install needs at the same time.

Organizer rule

No recording of the technical program

No one may photograph or video any part of the technical program without written consent from WM Symposia and each presenter (2027 policies). Booth demo videos stay inside your space.

04 Designing for nuclear waste, decommissioning and environmental remediation companies at WM Symposia

Four things we get right for WM Symposia exhibitors

Technician inspecting a waste drum at a mixed waste treatment facility1

Show the waste stream, then the fix

WM buyers think in waste streams and sites. Your back wall should name the stream, such as tank waste, transuranic drums or reactor internals, show where the tool works and give the measured result, so a Savannah River or Hanford manager knows in seconds if you fit.

Workers using a glove box to handle samples for a radioactive waste tank2

Mock-ups beat photos of a hot cell

You cannot bring contaminated equipment to Phoenix, so we build inert mock-ups: a cutaway canister, a glovebox front or a remote arm with a dummy payload. Engineers at WM want to see clearances and handling points at full scale.

Worker in protective suit cutting reactor components with a torch during decommissioning3

Budget for required carpet and furniture

WM booths include a 500-watt power hookup, an ID sign, a wastebasket and cleaning, but carpet and furniture are required and not included. We supply both with the build so you are not ordering them from the contractor at the last minute.

Excavator and crew recovering a waste container from an underground storage trench4

Use the Sunday opening and Tuesday forum

The hall opens with the Welcome Reception on Sunday evening, and the DOE EM Business Opportunity Forum runs Tuesday morning. We plan the booth so it reads at reception lighting, and staff the Tuesday afternoon after the forum when procurement teams walk the floor.

Exhibit hall

Opens with the Sunday Welcome Reception and closes Wednesday at 4 p.m.; Monday hours pause during the keynote luncheon.

Our advice Staff the booth heavily Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon, and keep the lighting warm enough for the Sunday evening reception.

B

Semi-trailer display spaces

WM sells 10×70 and 20×70 spaces for semi-trailers, a format few conferences offer.

Our advice Trailers arrive on a fixed move-in slot; we plan the awning and graphics so they install in hours, not a day.

C

Student Poster Lounge

Student posters, a daily student networking coffee and the Monday Student Poster Competition run alongside the exhibits.

Our advice Recruiting exhibitors gain from a booth near student traffic; we add a careers panel to the back wall.

Logistics for WM Symposia 2027, handled

WM2027 fills the Phoenix Convention Center on 3rd Street downtown. Your own employees can carry in and build, but a crate that needs a forklift or pallet jack is moved by the official contractor or Stagehand Local 36. WM's schedule sets move-in on Saturday, March 6, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., hand-carry only on Sunday morning, and move-out Wednesday 4 to 10 p.m., with Thursday morning reserved for 20×20 and larger. We file WM's exhibitor resource forms, send crates to the warehouse on WM's dates and set up with vetted local labor under our project manager.

Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for the building that hosts WM Symposia are in our Phoenix Convention Center exhibitor guide.

What Purple handles

  • Inert mock-ups of containers, gloveboxes and remote tools
  • Required carpet and furniture supplied with the booth
  • Design submission to WM for booths over 400 square feet

WM Symposia exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before WM Symposia

When is WM2027?

WM2027 runs March 7–11, 2027 in Phoenix. The exhibit hall opens with the Welcome Reception on Sunday, March 7, 5 to 8 p.m., is open Monday and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., and shuts at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10.

Where is WM2027 held?

At the Phoenix Convention Center, 100 North 3rd Street in downtown Phoenix. WM Symposia lists three official conference hotels, and room links arrive in your registration confirmation; the hotel block closes February 16, 2027 or earlier if it sells out.

How much does a booth at WM2027 cost?

WM's 2027 rates run $5,800 for a 10×10, $10,700 for a 10×20 and $17,600 for a 20×20, up to $48,000 for a 40×60, with a 50% deposit at booking. Our build is quoted separately: a 10×20 rental runs $7,500 to $15,000, and mock-ups move the number most at WM.

What does a WM booth include?

One 500-watt power hookup, or two for booths larger than 10×10, an exhibitor sign, a wastebasket, a vacuum before opening and daily trash service. Carpet and furniture are required and not included, and every booth carries exhibit-hall registrations, from two for a 10×10 to six for a 40×40.

How many people attend WM Symposia?

WM Symposia reports 2,900+ participants representing 30 countries with an 80% return rate, 200+ exhibitors and 900+ presentations. The WM2027 conference page quotes 3,900+ attendees from 900 organizations, so we plan booth staffing for the larger number.

Who exhibits at WM?

WM exhibitors are radioactive waste packaging and handling, decommissioning, remediation, measurement and engineering firms, plus DOE sites and national labs. WM2027 sponsors include Diamond-level Amentum, AtkinsRealis, Bechtel, BWXT, Fluor and HII, Platinum-level Honeywell, Navarro and Veolia, and Bronze-level Mirion and Tetra Tech.

What is the WM2027 exhibitor deadline?

December 31, 2026. By then you assign your included attendee registrations in the Exhibitor Portal, and cancellations before that date get a full refund minus a 5% processing fee. WM also requires its terms and a current certificate of insurance before your passes work.

Is there a small-business rate at WM?

WM sells a small-business tabletop for $1,740 and a small-business 10×10 for $4,060. To qualify a company needs $5 million or less in annual revenue, 25 employees or fewer, five years or less in business and no affiliation with a larger firm. Universities can take a $1,707 tabletop.

Can we set up our own booth at the Phoenix Convention Center?

Your own full-time employees can carry materials in and build the booth here, since Arizona has no union-only rule. Anything that needs a forklift or pallet jack still goes through the official contractor or Stagehand Local 36, and Sunday morning move-in is hand-carry only.

Can we exhibit a trailer or mobile lab at WM2027?

WM sells a semi-trailer 10×70 display space for $16,240 and a 20×70 exhibit space for $32,480, with registrations included. We build the awning, wraps and welcome counter around your trailer and coordinate its arrival with the move-in schedule.

When do we need to sign off a WM2027 design?

By late December 2026. WM asks booths over 400 square feet to submit their design to show management, and a January build leaves time to ship before the February 16 hotel cutoff and the March 6 move-in.

Can children or students attend WM?

WM bars anyone under 18 without its prior written consent, and an approved minor must register and stay with a registered adult. Students are welcome: WM runs a Student Poster Competition, Roy G. Post Foundation scholarships and student networking in the poster lounge.

Can we photograph or film at WM2027?

Nobody may photograph or video any part of the technical program without WM Symposia's written consent and the presenter's. Your own booth is a different matter, but we keep a no-filming notice ready for prototypes you do not want shared.

Can we reuse a WM booth at other nuclear shows?

The same mock-ups and walls travel to the ANS Annual Conference near Orlando and the ANS Winter Conference in Washington as a reduced tabletop set. We design the large WM build in modules so one part can go to a hotel expo while the rest stays in storage.

Before you sign for WM Symposia

Five things to ask every builder quoting WM Symposia:

  1. Are all fees on paper, including what the contractor at the Phoenix Convention Center bills?
  2. Who builds the WM Symposia booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your own project manager be at WM Symposia for install and dismantle?
  4. For WM Symposia, what is in the rental and what is billed by the show?
  5. What happens to the booth after WM Symposia, and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? We refresh its graphics, repair what is worn, ship and install it for WM Symposia, and store it between shows. The structure you paid for stays in use.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground in Phoenix: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready for WM Symposia in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic before WM Symposia.
