NPE 2027 booths in Orlando designed around your running machine
Processors at NPE judge a press or line by watching it cycle, so we plan your booth from the machine footprint, utilities and guarding outward. At the OCCC, rigging and electrical come from the venue's own crews and freight checks in at the Freeman Marshaling Yard on an assigned target slot, and we book both.

Plastic bottles on an automated production line
01 Purple at NPE 2027
What makes NPE different, and how we build for it
NPE is the triennial plastics show of the Americas, and its floor is organized by process rather than by brand. The five Technology Zones (Bottle, Materials, Moldmaking, Manufacturing Services and Recycling & Sustainability) put you next to your direct competitors, while the new Sustainability Park, the Packaging Stage, the Polymer Pub and the 90-minute Show Floor Tours steer buyers past your aisle with a purpose. More than 1.1 million square feet of exhibit space and 350+ first-time exhibitors mean a booth has to explain its machine or material in seconds and then hold a technical conversation.
A running cell they can time, cycle and part-quality data on screen, and a quiet table to talk throughput, automation and delivery dates.
Molds, inserts and hot runner components they can handle, cutaways that show cooling and gating, and an engineer who can answer at the bench.
Material and recycled-content samples organized by application, test data at hand, and room to discuss specifications and compliance.

Popular booth sizes at NPE
NPE floors are anchored by large machinery islands from press and auxiliary makers, with materials and service suppliers in inline rows and across the five Technology Zones. Any booth of 400 square feet or more files drawings with Show Management. We recommend a 20×20 or 20×30 island built around one running machine, or a 10×20 material showcase.

A tabletop auxiliary unit or robot end-of-arm demo, a sample library by application and a small meeting table.

Case study · KLEEMANN
KLEEMANN at a industrial technology exhibition
An interactive booth for a global elevator manufacturer: digital simulations, real product showcases and a floor plan that guided visitors from first step to last.
Different industry, same problem: KLEEMANN needed real machinery and live simulations to read clearly on a crowded industrial floor, which is what a running press must do at NPE.
Read the KLEEMANN case study All case studies →“Purple Exhibits made us look good. The booth was one of the nicest displays in our section of the convention center and generated a lot of positive comments from both customers and industry peers. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond made a huge difference.”

04 Designing for plastics machinery, materials and processing brands at NPE
Four things we get right for NPE exhibitors
1Plan the floor around the machine
We start from your press or line footprint, weight, utility points and service clearances, then place walls, monitors and walkways around it. Floor loading, crating and the forklift path into the booth are settled in the drawings, not on move-in day.
2Order utilities from the OCCC early
Running cells need three-phase power, compressed air and often chilled water, and at the OCCC electrical work is done by the venue’s own crews. We build the utility plan from your machine specifications and place the orders before the early pricing closes.
Make the cycle readable from the aisle
Buyers judge a molding cell in a few seconds. We raise the part take-off where it can be seen, show cycle time and part weight on a screen at eye level and keep molded parts in clear bins so visitors can pick one up.
Give materials a working library
Resin, colorant and recycled-content buyers want to compare. Pellet jars, plaques and molded parts arranged by application, with data sheets on a QR code, and a sampling counter that restocks from storage inside the furniture.

Concept rendering
Every proposal comes with a rendering like this
You see the booth in 3D before we cut a single panel: layout, graphics, lighting and product positions, revised until it is right. Shown: a Purple concept for Nickuns.

Logistics for NPE 2027, handled
The Orange County Convention Center is a non-union facility. At NPE, Freeman is the general contractor and supplies IATSE union labor for installation, while full-time employees of an exhibiting company may set their own exhibit. Rigging and all electrical are done by OCCC in-house crews, ordered directly from the venue. NPE registers attendees in both the West and South Buildings, which have separate docks and freight schedules, and Freeman assigns each exhibitor a target date and time to check in at the Freeman Marshaling Yard. Machinery moves by forklift through the docks; nothing on wheels goes through the lobbies. We read the NPE exhibitor kit, book your freight target and utility orders, and have our project manager and vetted local labor on the floor when your machine is set.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Orange County Convention Center exhibitor guide.
Hall guide
NPE fills space in two OCCC buildings on either side of International Drive and registers attendees in both the West and South Buildings. Each has its own docks, freight schedule and attached hotels.
About 1.1 million square feet on one level with long halls and generous ceiling height; docks run along the back of the building off Convention Way.
Our advice: Islands and hanging signs are routine here. Book the Hyatt Regency, attached to the West Building, or the Rosen Centre across the bridge.
Six halls (North A1, A2, B and South A1, A2, B) that combine into one, with docks on both the north and south sides.
Our advice: Freight routes differ by side, so we plan crates to your exact hall. The Hilton Orlando is the hotel bridged to this building.
An enclosed walkway over International Drive linking the two buildings, about a ten-minute walk between halls, with show shuttles as the alternative.
Our advice: Freight cannot use the bridge. Keep hand-carry items with the team in the building where your booth stands.

Printable budget & deadline sheetNPE exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before NPE
How much does a booth at NPE 2027 cost?
Our 10×20 rentals run $7,500 to $15,000 and a custom 20×20 island runs $50,000 to $120,000. At NPE the machine drives the number: flooring under heavy equipment, guarding and utilities add the most. Booth space is billed separately by PLASTICS, from $27.00 to $30.50 per square foot for members and $51.50 for non-members.
What is the deadline to submit booth drawings for NPE 2027?
Every booth of 400 square feet or more must file the NPE2027 Booth Design Approval form, with complete drawings and all hanging signs and truss, by March 5, 2027. Outside contractors must be registered as Exhibitor Appointed Contractors by the same date. We need your design signed off in early February to file both on time.
Can we rent a booth for NPE, and what does a rental include?
Yes. A rental gives you the frame, printed fabric graphics, counters, lighting and storage cabinets, and we quote freight, install and dismantle on the same proposal. Many materials suppliers rent a 10×20 and add a custom sample wall, while machinery exhibitors often rent the walls and meeting room around their own equipment.
Can we set up our own booth at NPE?
Your full-time employees may set your exhibit themselves. Any extra labor is IATSE union labor from Freeman, or comes from an Exhibitor Appointed Contractor registered by March 5, 2027. Rigging and electrical are always done by OCCC crews. We register as your EAC and bring our own project manager.
What are the NPE rules for running machinery in the booth?
Operating machinery must be fenced or shielded so visitors cannot reach over, under or around it, and every display, machine and piece of furniture sits at least one foot back from the aisle. Machines set in working position have no height limit beyond the hall ceiling, and anchoring is allowed once it is approved on your booth drawing.
What does drayage cost at NPE and who pays it?
Freeman handles material handling at NPE and bills the exhibitor by weight. PLASTICS and Freeman offer an NPE2027 Material Handling Bundle package, and freight that misses its target slot is charged on top of it. We put your drayage estimate on the proposal before you sign.
Which OCCC building is NPE in?
NPE registers attendees in both the West and South Buildings, joined by the Oversight Pedestrian Bridge over International Drive. The buildings have separate docks, freight schedules and attached hotels, so your booth number decides your freight route and your room block. We plan the crate route to your exact hall once your space is assigned.
Can we reuse our NPE booth at other shows?
Yes. NPE runs every three years, so the same structure usually works harder at PMTS in Cleveland, PACK EXPO Southeast in Atlanta, RAPID + TCT or The Powder Show in between. We design modular walls that reconfigure around different equipment, store the kit between shows and reprint graphics for each audience.
We are exhibiting at NPE from outside the US. Can you help?
NPE draws exhibitors from more than 130 countries, and we handle the US side for many of them: booth design and build, freight from our shop to the Freeman Marshaling Yard on your target slot, OCCC utility orders, installation and storage. Your machinery forwarder clears customs; we take it from the dock.
Before you sign with anyone
Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for NPE:
- Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
- Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
- Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
- What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
- Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?
Common situations
Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.
Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.
Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
