The Makeup Show NYC is a working artist's show in a Chelsea event loft.For two days at the Metropolitan Pavilion, makeup artists, hairstylists, estheticians and students swatch, test and restock their kits at show-exclusive or pro-discount prices from 80+ brands, from major pro lines to new indie labels. Education fills the room: the Main Stage, three Demo Stages, two Seminar Stages and an International Stage, plus paid classes such as Business of Beauty and IN The Studio, Artists United and The Beauty Mixer. iArtist 9.0, a two-day intensive with 20+ educators, runs just before the show. Members of Local 798 and Local 706 get in free with a union card, so film, TV and theater artists shop here too. A booth here is a store, a demo chair and a stage for your educator.

Deliveries come off the truck at the 18th or 19th Street curb in allowed windows, and a crate too big for the freight car never leaves the truck. We size and crate every piece to the car before it leaves Fishkill.

The biggest floor in the building, roughly 25,000 square feet of column-lined loft under ceilings of 12 to 16 feet, laid out in rows of wall-system booths.
Our advice Columns are part of the plan; we check your booth against the column grid and keep headers under the loft ceiling.
Upper lofts and the Metropolitan Suite
Smaller daylight floors, including the 8,500 sq ft Suite with 16 ft ceilings, served only by freight elevator.
Our advice If your booth or class lands upstairs, every piece must fit the elevator car; we pack to its size.
West 18th and 19th Street curbs
Doors open onto both 18th and 19th Streets, but there is no dock on either; deliveries come off the truck at the curb in set windows.
Our advice We book the curb window early and send one liftgate truck, so your booth is in before doors open.

Logistics for The Makeup Show NYC 2027, handled
The Pavilion runs through the block from 18th to 19th Street, and neither side has a loading dock. A truck parks at the curb during a permitted window, crates roll in on a pallet jack, and anything bound upstairs rides the freight car. The FDNY treats the building as a place of assembly, so every fabric and carpet needs a flame certificate and every light must be UL-listed. Our Fishkill, NY shop builds the booth in light, two-person pieces, and the project manager who drives it down runs setup with the show's contractor.
