What makes AUA different, and how we build for it
AUA is where urology buys for the year. The Science & Technology Hall runs three days with unopposed exhibit hours from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily, so the plenary empties straight onto your aisle. The hall carries its own programme: the Product Theater, the Robotics Theater, Device Tech Talks and the Hands-on Training Pavilion. AUA2026 drew 9,008 attendees, 36 percent of them international, and 87 percent said the hall was very important to their meeting. Saturday of the 2027 meeting closes with the AUA 125th Anniversary Celebration from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Your booth competes with live robotics for attention, so the instrument, not the logo, has to stop people.
Oncology, general urology and stone disease make up two thirds of the audience. They want the instrument in hand, the specification beside it and a specialist who can answer a clinical question in one sentence.
AUA2026 counted 902 residents and fellows and 495 advanced practice providers. They come to try systems at demo stations and leave with a contact, so hands-on access and a quick lead capture matter.
35 percent of attendees work in academic settings and 21 percent in hospitals. They need a seated space off the aisle to talk evidence, integration and purchasing with two or three colleagues.

Booth options for AUA 2027
Pick a footprint. We’ll price it as a rental, a custom build, or a hybrid.
The Science & Technology Hall mixes 10×10 and 10×20 inlines from instrument, diagnostics and pharma companies with islands from the robotics, laser and imaging platform makers who feed the Robotics Theater and Device Tech Talks. Most Purple urology clients land between a 10×20 with one demo station and a 20×30 island with a meeting room.

One instrument case with task lighting, a single demo monitor and a counter with storage for accessories and literature.

A capital system or product family on a lit display, one presenter-led demo station and a two-seat consultation table.
See 10×20 rental booths →
Two demo stations under a hanging sign, an open lounge for residents and a semi-private meeting nook behind a permeable screen.
See 20×20 rental booths →
A robotics or imaging platform with camera feed to a screen, a Device Tech Talks style presentation corner, private meeting rooms and lockable storage.
See 20×30 rental booths →All-in 2026 ranges for design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle; booth space, drayage and show services are separate. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show. Designing for urology device, diagnostics and pharma brands at AUA
Four things we get right for AUA exhibitors

Light the detail they came to inspect
A urology instrument is small and reflective. We mount it on a stable surface at inspection height, test glare and viewing distance with your real product under the proposed fixtures, and keep the explanatory graphic beside the item it describes rather than on a distant wall.

Show the demo without crowding the operator
A live system gets a defined presenter position and a second view. An overhead camera or prepared close-up on a screen lets small hand movements read from the aisle, so visitors are not stacked around the console and the presenter keeps the flow moving.

Keep the conversation off the demo queue
We place seating beside the presentation route, not at the end of it, behind a permeable partition that gives visual privacy while staff stay connected. An appointment can arrive and sit down without interrupting the demonstration already underway.

Design from the product edge outward
Counter depth, cabinet doors, screen angle and cable runs are drawn from actual unit dimensions. Accessories have a home during and after the demo, display-only samples are separated from approved handling demos, and claims are settled with your medical and regulatory team before graphics print.

Concept rendering
Every proposal comes with a rendering like this

Logistics for AUA 2027, handled
The San Diego Convention Center runs a union floor, so installation and dismantle are union work under the show contractor's agreements and our Southern California crew works inside them. Every case moves through material handling at about $176 per hundredweight with a 200-pound minimum, so we pack demo systems to hit the advance warehouse in as few pieces as possible and file the drayage paperwork. We draw island elevations and hanging-sign details for show filing before production starts. San Diego International is 10 to 15 minutes away, the Marriott Marquis and Manchester Grand Hyatt are a walk from the halls, the Gaslamp Quarter is 10 to 15 minutes on foot and the trolley stops a few blocks away.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our San Diego Convention Center exhibitor guide.

AUA exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before AUA
How much does a 20×20 at AUA cost?
A complete 20×20 custom island runs $50,000 to $120,000 for design, structure, graphics and installation, and a 20×20 rental island $16,000 to $40,000. A 10×20 inline with one demo station lands between $15,000 and $45,000 custom. Send us your product list and we return a fixed quote.
Can you install at the San Diego Convention Center?
Yes. We build in Fishkill and install at the San Diego Convention Center with our Southern California crew under the union agreements, ship through the show's advance warehouse and handle the dock paperwork. Our project manager is on the floor for move-in, the three hall days and dismantle.
Can we rent a booth for AUA?
Yes. Rental structures with your graphics, custom demo counters and instrument displays, or a hybrid of both. Many first-time AUA exhibitors start with a 10×10 or 10×20 rental between $3,500 and $15,000, then add a custom feature once the product line grows.
When do we need to decide?
Design sign-off by early March 2027 gives a 30 to 45 day build and a late April ship to the advance warehouse. Islands need elevations drawn and filed earlier, so a 20×20 or larger should be in design by February. Later is possible at a higher freight cost.
Do you handle show contractor orders and drayage?
Yes. We read the AUA exhibitor kit when it lands, order material handling, electrical and rigging for your hanging sign, book target move-in dates and keep you copied on every deadline. Your team shows up to a finished booth with the demo systems powered and tested.
