Home technology integrators decide in a dark room with the lights down and the sound up, so a CEDIA booth is really a small theater with a lobby. We build demo rooms that seal sound under the LVCC's 85 dB floor limit, with your Purple project manager leading the room build on the LVCC floor.

What makes CEDIA Expo different, and how we build for it
CEDIA Expo is the integrator's show: the people walking the floor design and install home theaters, whole-home audio, lighting control, shading and networks for clients, and they buy through dealer programs rather than at retail. Emerald produces it with CEDIA, the trade association for the channel, and runs CIX, the Commercial Integrator Expo, alongside it. 2027 is the first year of a new rotation that takes the show from Denver to the Las Vegas Convention Center, then Orlando, Las Vegas and Dallas. Integrators come to hear and see the product in a controlled room, take training credits and meet distributors, so the booth's demo room does the selling.
Owners and lead techs who sell and install the system. They want to hear the speaker in a treated room, see the calibration, handle the rack gear and leave knowing the dealer terms and lead times.
Specifiers who bring the client's floor plan in their head. They look for how a product hides in the wall or ceiling, finish options, and a rep who can answer an integration question without jargon.

Rules that shape your CEDIA Expo booth
The Las Vegas Convention Center maintains a maximum noise level of 85 dB on exhibit floors, in meeting rooms and in suites. We build sealed demo rooms and aim every speaker into the booth.
Single-level exhibits over 1,000 sq ft, covered areas over 300 sq ft and any multilevel booth need CAD plans approved by the LVCC Safety and Fire Prevention Office. We draw and file a demo room's plans early.
At the LVCC, covered areas over 300 sq ft, and any covered room that is also enclosed, need battery smoke detectors audible outside the room. We fit them into every CEDIA theater room we build.
Programs worth planning for
Emerald's commercial integration event held alongside CEDIA Expo, so one booth reaches residential and commercial integrators; the rotation announcement covers both events.
CEDIA Expo/CIX includes manufacturer training sessions that integrators send staff to; a training slot draws dealers to the booth afterward, so we plan seats and a screen for follow-up demos.

Four things we get right for CEDIA Expo exhibitors
1Build the room, then the brand
Integrators judge a speaker or projector in a treated room, so we start with the room: double walls, acoustic panels, a solid door, a dark ceiling and a seating plan sized to your demo. The brand graphics go on the outside, where the queue forms.
2Hold the 85 dB line
The Las Vegas Convention Center holds exhibit floors to 85 dB. A theater demo at reference level needs sealed construction and subwoofers pointed away from neighbors, so we design the walls and placement before we design the finishes.
3Light control is half the demo
A projector or display shootout dies under hall light. We build blackout ceilings, light-lock entries and dimmable room lighting so your demo starts in true dark, and we keep the lobby bright enough for brochures and keypads.
4Make the rack visible
Integrators care about what sits behind the wall: amps, processors, network gear and how it is wired. We give the rack its own lit, glass-fronted wall with clean cable runs, because tidy installs sell to installers.

CEDIA Expo's 2027 hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center is not confirmed yet. These are the LVCC halls a show of this size uses and what each means for a demo-room booth.
West Hall
The newest LVCC hall, opened in 2021, with about 600,000 sq ft, high clear heights and the best truck docks, per Purple's venue guide.
Our advice Height and docks favor a large island with a raised theater room and an overhead sign above it.
North and Central Halls
The older core of the campus; Central Hall was renovated between 2023 and 2025, and some sections have lower ceilings.
Our advice We confirm the ceiling over your booth number before drawing a demo room with its own roof.
LVCC meeting rooms
Meeting rooms on the West Hall upper levels and in North Hall serve training, dealer meetings and private demos at many LVCC shows.

Logistics for CEDIA Expo 2027, handled
Las Vegas labor rules are strict at the LVCC: Teamsters Local 631 and the show contractor own freight and forklifts, and power belongs to the electrical contractor. Our EAC paperwork goes in about a month ahead, and we ship crates to the advance warehouse so the build starts on the first install day. Demo rooms with ceilings need plans to the LVCC fire office when they cover more than 300 sq ft, so we draw that early. Our Las Vegas shop sits close to the building, so speaker stands, acoustic panels and graphics can be fixed overnight.

What are the CEDIA Expo 2027 dates?
CEDIA Expo 2027 is listed for September 7–10, 2027 in Las Vegas. CEDIA's rotation announcement gave September 8–10 as the show dates, and Emerald has not yet published exhibit hall days or opening times, which are not confirmed yet. In 2026 the show ran September 1–4 in Denver.
Where is CEDIA Expo 2027 held?
The show moves to the LVCC on Paradise Road in 2027. The LVCC hall CEDIA will fill is not confirmed yet. It is the first stop of a new rotation: Orlando follows in 2028, Las Vegas again in 2029 and Dallas in 2030.
How many people attend CEDIA Expo?
The organizer reported nearly 14,000 registered attendees and 400 brands for CEDIA Expo/CIX 2025 in Denver. Attendance for the 2027 Las Vegas edition is not confirmed yet.

Can we run a loud home theater demo at CEDIA Expo?
The LVCC keeps exhibit floors, meeting rooms and suites at a maximum of 85 dB. A theater demo at full level has to happen inside a sealed room with speakers aimed into the booth, which is how we build CEDIA demo rooms.
Do demo rooms with ceilings need approval at the LVCC?
The LVCC fire office reviews any single-level exhibit over 1,000 sq ft or with more than 300 sq ft of covered area, and covered enclosed rooms need battery smoke detectors. We prepare the CAD plans for a CEDIA demo room so approval is not a surprise.
Can our own staff set up our CEDIA booth?
Las Vegas jurisdictions decide who touches what: Teamsters handle freight and forklifts, and electricians own every power drop. We file as your EAC, and your Purple project manager leads the build while your team tunes the system.
When is CEDIA Expo 2027 move-in?
The 2027 move-in schedule is not confirmed yet; it arrives with the exhibitor services manual. We plan for freight at the advance warehouse about 30 days out and leave a day for room tuning before the floor opens.
What hotels are near the Las Vegas Convention Center for CEDIA Expo?
The official 2027 housing block is not confirmed yet. Near the LVCC, the Renaissance is a short walk, Westgate connects by walkway with the Monorail on site, and the Vegas Loop links the West Hall area with Resorts World and other hotels.
Is CEDIA Expo or CES better for home audio brands?
CEDIA Expo is the better fit when you sell through integrators who design and install systems; CES reaches retailers, media and carmakers on a far larger floor. Many brands show at both and reuse the same demo room, stored between shows at our Las Vegas hub.
Can we reuse our CEDIA booth in Orlando and Dallas?
Plan for it. With Orlando in 2028, Las Vegas in 2029 and Dallas in 2030, we build demo rooms as panel systems that pack into the same crates, store them in Las Vegas and ship them on to each new city.
