What makes STAFDA Annual Convention & Trade Show different, and how we build for it
STAFDA is the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association's members-only convention, where manufacturers of power tools, anchors, fasteners, adhesives and jobsite supplies meet the distributors who sell them to contractors. Manufacturer members cannot walk the floor: they attend by exhibiting. STAFDA's 2026 Anaheim schedule, for its 50th convention, lists a Power Pavilion where distributors view and vote on products, Educational Spark Sessions, a Rep Room for independent reps, and, for the first time, tech partners in full booths among the manufacturers. In 2027 the convention moves to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
Owners of independent tool and fastener houses decide which lines to carry; they want program terms, freight policy and margin, and a reason to switch a line.
Buyers compare SKUs side by side; they need part numbers, packaging and case quantities visible, and samples they can pick up and test.
Distributor sales reps sell to contractors on the jobsite, so they look for demos they can repeat for a customer and literature they can carry.

STAFDA's 2026 schedule gives exhibitors Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., to move in before the Monday noon opening. Our project manager finishes the build on day one so day two is for product.

What is the Power Pavilion at STAFDA?
A STAFDA display area where distributor members view and vote on products. The 2026 schedule opens it Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for viewing and voting and keeps it open for viewing during Monday and Tuesday trade show hours. We make a product card and signage that link your Power Pavilion entry to your booth.
Can tech vendors have a full booth at STAFDA?
From 2026, STAFDA lets tech partners choose their booth size and location and use a full booth display instead of the earlier tabletop limit, and places them among the manufacturer exhibitors rather than in a separate Tech Pavilion. Software firms can now build a real demo booth.
Can we rent a booth for STAFDA?
We rent STAFDA booths with slatwall product walls, a demo bench, counters, lighting and graphics, delivered to Orlando and installed by our project manager with vetted local labor. The same kit can return at IBS, World of Concrete or a buying-group show with new graphics.
Where do STAFDA exhibitors stay?
STAFDA books discounted blocks at host hotels each year; the 2027 Orlando hotels are not confirmed yet. For Anaheim in 2026 the blocks are the Anaheim Marriott at $283 a night and the Hilton Anaheim at $312, reserved through STAFDA's Passkey links.
How many members does STAFDA have?
More than 2,000, according to STAFDA, made up of specialty tool and fastener distributors and the manufacturers that sell through them. STAFDA does not post attendance or exhibitor totals for its conventions on its public pages, so 2027 attendance is not confirmed yet.
Is STAFDA worth exhibiting at?
