What makes World of Modular different, and how we build for it
World of Modular is the Modular Building Institute's annual convention, a four-day meeting of the commercial modular and offsite construction industry that MBI says draws nearly 2,000 leaders from around the world. It runs in a resort hotel, and the tradeshow opens only on the second and third days, for 15 exhibit hours between education sessions. The week ends with the Awards of Distinction banquet, where MBI names winners in categories from Healthcare and Multifamily to Innovative Product and Workforce Housing. Students from trade schools and universities attend too, and MBI bars outside functions during its programming.
Plant owners and operations leads look for materials, components and equipment that cut time on the line, so they want specs, lead times and proof from another factory.
Buyers who sell, set or develop modular projects compare suppliers and partners; they want case studies with schedule savings and a person to call.
Designers and owners learning offsite construction want to understand how systems connect, and students from trade schools look for careers.
Your team in Orlando
Two shops behind your World of Modular booth
For World of Modular, we build in our own shop in Fishkill, NY, and at our Las Vegas hub, ship to the Rosen Shingle Creek, and put our own project manager on the floor with vetted local labor for the install. Turnaround is a predictable 30 to 45 days, with pre-show QA and secure storage for your World of Modular booth.
Your team arrives at World of Modular to a lit, stocked booth. You just show up.
New at World of Modular 2027
- Moves from the Bellagio in Las Vegas to Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando
The 2026 convention ran at the Bellagio; 2027 runs April 5 to 8 at Rosen Shingle Creek, 9939 Universal Boulevard. Exhibit freight goes to a Florida resort hotel, so read its dock and ballroom access rules before you ship. source
- 25% more booths
MBI says the 2027 hall will hold 25% more booths, after nearly 250 companies exhibited in 2026. More neighbors means more competition for attention, so a clear headline and a live demo matter more. source
- New expanded island booths in the center of the hall
MBI has added centrally placed island spaces open on every side, and asks exhibitors who want to show full modules or other large items to contact its sales team. These spaces suit a walk-through module or a large product sample. source
Inside World of Modular 2027
World of Modular rules that shape your booth
MBI's 2027 policies open the exhibit hall only on the second and third days of the convention, and its exhibitor page requires booths to be staffed during all posted exhibit hours. We design a booth two people can run through 15 exhibit hours.
Registrations cannot be shared, and violators may be asked to leave and lose future exhibit rights. We size the booth to the staff your package includes, or price extra badges at $975 each.
MBI does not authorize any non-MBI function during scheduled World of Modular programming. We plan your hospitality graphics for MBI's own receptions or for evenings outside the agenda.
Written cancellations or reductions at least 46 days before the first day get half the exhibit fee back; within 45 days, nothing. We time production so your decision comes before our build starts.
Programs worth planning for
MBI's annual awards for modular buildings and products, presented at the World of Modular banquet, with categories from Healthcare and Multifamily to Innovative Product and Workforce Housing.
World of Modular sessions and networking for younger professionals in modular construction, listed on the 2027 convention page.
MBI accepts presentation proposals for the 2027 education program through its online form, a way for suppliers to reach the audience beyond the booth.
World of Modular is the commercial modular industry's own convention, run by MBI; choose it over IBS when your buyers are factory-built and offsite manufacturers and their dealers rather than site-built home builders. Line up World of Modular against every building materials show we build for →

04 Designing for suppliers of materials, components, equipment, software and services to modular and offsite builders at World of Modular
Four things we get right for World of Modular exhibitors
1Show it inside a module
Modular buyers want to see how your product fits the factory process. We build a cut-away wall or floor section showing your component installed, with labels for the step on the line where it goes in, so a plant manager sees the time saved.
2Build light for a hotel ballroom
Rosen Shingle Creek's halls are carpeted ballrooms with a dock shared with banquets. We design panels that hand-move without forklifts, ship them to the advance warehouse, and add carpet protection under heavy pieces.
3Fifteen hours, two days
MBI opens the exhibit hall only on the second and third days, for 15 exhibit hours in total, and requires booths to be staffed at all times. We design a booth two people can run, with storage for samples and a charging point.
4Ready for the awards crowd
The Awards of Distinction honor modular projects and innovative products. If your product is in a winning building, we print the project and category on your backwall, so manufacturers coming from the banquet recognize it.

Where you could be at World of Modular 2027
World of Modular runs inside Rosen Shingle Creek, a resort convention hotel; MBI has not posted the 2027 floor plan, so this covers the building's spaces and rules.
Hotel ballroom exhibit space
Rosen Shingle Creek's main ballroom is 95,000 square feet and column-free, and holds an expo of about 300 booths; most of the hotel's event space is carpeted.
Our advice Carpet means hand-moved freight, so we build in panels and add floor protection under any heavy product section.
Hotel loading dock
The dock is shared with banquets, so delivery windows are tight, and empties go to the contractor rather than guest areas.
Our advice We ship to the advance warehouse and label every crate EMPTY on unpacking so nothing waits at the dock.
In-house AV, power and rigging
The hotel's AV partner handles rigging, and power and internet are hotel exclusives.
Our advice We send power and screen needs early so the hotel's crew wires the booth before your team arrives.

Logistics for World of Modular 2027, handled
World of Modular 2027 is at Rosen Shingle Creek on Universal Boulevard in Orlando, a non-union resort: your own employees can assemble a booth using hand tools, and any hired labor comes via the show contractor or an exhibitor-appointed contractor such as Purple. The hotel's in-house partner controls AV and rigging, and power and internet are hotel exclusives. The hall is carpeted, so freight moves by hand, and the hotel dock is shared with banquets on tight windows, which is why we ship to the advance warehouse. Carpet, electricity and installation are ordered through MBI's exhibitor kit, and we file every one of those orders for you.
This building's hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for World of Modular exhibitors are in our Rosen Shingle Creek exhibitor guide.
What Purple handles

- Panels that hand-move in a carpeted ballroom
- Advance-warehouse freight for a shared hotel dock
- Exhibitor-appointed contractor paperwork at Rosen Shingle Creek

- Storage and reuse at IBS or Greenbuild

Where is World of Modular 2027 held?
At Rosen Shingle Creek, 9939 Universal Boulevard, Orlando, a resort convention hotel with one of the largest hotel ballrooms in the country. Overflow rooms are at the nearby Rosen Plaza. The 2026 convention was at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

When is the exhibit hall open at World of Modular?
MBI's 2027 policies state that the exhibit hall is open only on the second and third days of the convention, and the exhibitor page counts 15 exhibit hours. The hour-by-hour schedule is not confirmed yet; MBI requires booths to be staffed whenever the hall is open.
How are booths assigned at World of Modular?

Can we rent a booth for World of Modular?
We rent World of Modular booths sized to MBI's 10×8 and 20×8 spaces and 16×20 or 16×30 islands, with fabric backwalls, counters, lighting and product sections that hand-move on carpet. Our project manager installs and dismantles at Rosen Shingle Creek.
Is World of Modular worth exhibiting at?
For suppliers to factory-built commercial and multifamily construction, it gathers modular manufacturers, dealers and developers in one place, nearly 2,000 per MBI. The hall opens for only 15 hours, so pre-booked meetings matter as much as the booth.

- Does your project manager stay on the floor through install and dismantle in Orlando?
- What exactly is in the rental, and what does World of Modular bill?
- What happens to the booth after World of Modular, and what does storage cost?
