What makes Underground Infrastructure Conference different, and how we build for it
UIC is a two-day conference built on three pillars, construction, rehabilitation and asset management, for the people who put sewer, water, gas, electric and fiber lines underground.Gulf Energy Information and Underground Infrastructure magazine run it, and the side programs say who comes: CUIRE Schools, the BAMI-I Utility Investigation School, the HDD Reunion and Hall of Fame, the UI Honors awards and the Connected Buyer Program, which rewards attendees for getting scanned at five different booths. For 2027 the show moves to the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine. The floor is compact and the visits are short, so a booth must show its product working within one minute.
Before-and-after evidence from a rehabilitated line, design life and standards data, and a contact who can follow up with a pilot project.
Tooling and equipment they can lift and turn over, productivity figures from real bores or lining jobs, and a rep who can talk rental, financing and parts.
Inspection and data software shown on a real network map, plus a short private conversation away from the aisle about rollout and budget.
Your team in Grapevine
One project manager, two shops, the whole Underground Infrastructure Conference build
Our Fishkill, NY production shop and our Las Vegas hub build the booth, we ship it to the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, and our own project manager runs the Underground Infrastructure Conference install on the floor with vetted local labor. Every Underground Infrastructure Conference build runs a predictable 30 to 45 days and gets a pre-show QA, with secure storage after.

UIC 2026 ran at the Henry B. González Convention Center; UIC 2027 moves to the Gaylord Texan on January 26–27. A resort means in-house exclusives for power, rigging and catering, a designated handling contractor and hotel rooms in the same building as the floor. source
Inside Underground Infrastructure Conference 2027
Rules that shape your Underground Infrastructure Conference booth
UIC caps displays at 8 feet in the rear half of a booth and 5 feet from the middle to the aisle, and inline booths may not hang a sign (2027 exhibit page). We keep tall graphics on the back wall and samples low and forward.
UIC islands have aisles on all sides with no back walls or pipe and drape, and booths may not span two aisles unless bought as an island (2027). We design island displays to read from every side, with storage in a central counter.
The 2027 agreement keeps every display inside the booth, bans exhibits in parking lots and hotel lobbies, and bars hospitality suites, meetings or demonstrations while UIC is open. We schedule client events for the evening.
An exhibitor using its own installer must notify UIC in writing in advance, with proof of workers' compensation and $1 million general and auto liability cover naming UIC, the venue and the show contractor (2027). We file our certificates with that notice.
UIC's 2027 rules prohibit camera use in the exhibit hall before or after exhibit hours and keep anyone under 18 off the floor during move-in and move-out. We photograph your finished booth during open hours only.
Programs worth planning for
Free for attendees: every five different exhibitor scans earns a prize entry, with the 2027 drawing in the exhibit hall at 4:45 p.m. on January 27; sponsorship is $3,000.
Training schools listed on the UIC program, run by CUIRE and by BAMI-I; in 2026 the CUIRE desk opened the day before the exhibit hall.
Underground Infrastructure's 2027 awards finalists, the MVP award and the HDD Reunion and Hall of Fame; the HDD Reunion sponsorship lists a partner rate of $1,350 for UIC exhibitors.
Exhibitor add-ons on the 2027 agreement: technical theater slots at $1,000 for exhibitors ($1,900 otherwise) and the Innovation Lounge at $2,000 ($2,750 for non-exhibitors).
UIC is the compact January meeting for buried-utility construction and rehabilitation; choose it over the NASTT No-Dig Show when you want two focused days in Texas with contractors and utility owners across gas, electric and fiber as well as water. Case study · Shapoorji Pallonji
Shapoorji Pallonji at an engineering and infrastructure exhibition
A structured, powerful booth for a global engineering group founded in 1865, built to communicate scale, trust and engineering excellence.
Shapoorji Pallonji's booth had to show engineering scale and trust to infrastructure buyers; UIC exhibitors face the same buyers, with buried pipe in place of buildings.

04 Designing for pipe rehabilitation, trenchless, HDD, locating, inspection and asset management suppliers at Underground Infrastructure Conference
Four things we get right for Underground Infrastructure Conference exhibitors
1Respect the 8-and-5 rule
UIC limits inline displays to 8 feet in the rear half of the booth and 5 feet from the middle to the aisle, and inline booths may not hang signs. We put height on the back wall and keep samples and screens low and forward.
2Make the five-scan stop count
The Connected Buyer Program gives attendees a prize entry for every five different exhibitors that scan their badge. Visitors arrive wanting a quick scan, so we put the scan point beside the product and give your rep a 30-second story to tell before the next booth.
3Show the pipe before and after
Rehabilitation buyers trust a cut section more than a brochure. We mount a host-pipe section with your liner, coating or spray system cured inside it, label thickness and cure method, and light the cut face so the bond shows.
4Declare the gas-powered gear early
UIC's 2027 booth agreement asks whether you will display a motor vehicle or gas-powered equipment, and the resort's Texas fire-code rules call for permits on vehicles. We document fuel, battery and floor protection for each unit and order resort power for everything else.

Where you could be at Underground Infrastructure Conference 2027
UIC has not published which Gaylord Texan space its 2027 floor uses. The resort offers two kinds of exhibit room, and each changes what you can bring.
Exhibition hall
180,000 square feet of dedicated exhibition space on one level, built to take heavier builds than the ballrooms.
Our advice If UIC's floor is here, a compact rig or trailer is realistic; we confirm floor protection and the route from the dock.
Texas Grand Ballroom
A 50,000-square-foot carpeted ballroom plus two smaller ballrooms; heavy pieces need floor protection underneath.
Our advice Ballroom space means samples and tooling rather than vehicles; we spread loads on plates and keep wheels off the carpet.
Resort services desk
Electrical, rigging, internet, audiovisual and catering are exclusive to the resort or its providers at the Gaylord Texan.
Our advice We put every power drop and screen into one layout and order from the resort once UIC's kit arrives.

Logistics for Underground Infrastructure Conference 2027, handled
The Gaylord Texan has 180,000 square feet of dedicated exhibition space and a 50,000-square-foot Texas Grand Ballroom on one level, and the exhibition hall takes heavier builds than the carpeted ballrooms. Texas labor law lets your own employees assemble the exhibit, tools and all, whatever the footprint, while material handling runs through the resort's designated contractor, at about $100 per hundredweight in our 2026 planning. Electrical, rigging, internet and catering are resort exclusives. UIC names its 2027 show contractor in November and emails the service kit a month out, so we hold freight targets until then and our project manager leads the Grapevine install with vetted Texas crews.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for the building that hosts Underground Infrastructure Conference are in our Gaylord Texan Resort exhibitor guide.
What Purple handles

- Liner, coating and pipe cutaway samples mounted and lit
- Vehicle and gas-powered equipment paperwork for the resort

Underground Infrastructure Conference exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before Underground Infrastructure Conference
When is UIC 2027?
The Underground Infrastructure Conference 2027 runs Tuesday, January 26 to Wednesday, January 27, 2027, a two-day format. UIC's 2027 hall times are not confirmed yet. At the 2026 San Antonio show the hall ran from noon until 5 p.m. each day.
Where is the Underground Infrastructure Conference 2027 held?
At the Gaylord Texan Resort, 1501 Gaylord Trail in Grapevine, Texas, about halfway between downtown Dallas and Fort Worth and about 10 minutes from DFW Airport. UIC 2026 took place in San Antonio, at the Henry B. González Convention Center.
How much does a booth at UIC 2027 cost?
UIC's 2027 space prices are $3,470 for a 10×10 inline, $6,440 for a 10×20 and $9,170 for a 10×30; islands cost $7,340 for 10×20, $10,160 for 10×30, $13,470 for 20×20 and $19,405 for 20×30. A booth from us adds $7,500 to $15,000 for a 10×20 rental, installed.
What is included with a UIC booth?
Every UIC booth includes one lead capture license and full-conference passes for staff: four for a 10×10, six for a 10×20, eight for a 10×30 and ten for a 20×20. Exhibitors may also invite unlimited clients to the exhibit hall free.
What is the payment deadline for UIC 2027 booths?
UIC takes a 50% non-refundable deposit on booking, with the balance due before November 30, 2026; agreements submitted after October 1, 2026 must be paid in full. Exhibitors who paid in full and cancel before November 30 get 50% back, and nothing after that.
How many people attend UIC?
UIC says more than 1,200 qualified professionals attend, including engineers, contractors, senior management and utility operators, and that 60% of attendees are positioned to influence purchases. The organizer does not publish a separate exhibitor total; its 2027 list is posted as exhibitors to date.
Who exhibits at UIC?
Pipe rehabilitation, trenchless and HDD equipment, locating, inspection and asset management suppliers. The early 2027 exhibitor list includes Akkerman, Azuria, Vermeer Texas-Louisiana, Ditch Witch Dealers of Texas, CPM Pipelines, Omega Liner Company, HCSS and Scopito, plus the HDDA.
What are the booth height rules at UIC?
UIC limits displays to 8 feet in the rear half of a booth and 5 feet from the middle of the booth to the aisle, and inline booths may not have a hanging sign. Islands have aisles on all sides and no back walls or pipe and drape.
Can we set up our own booth at the Gaylord Texan?
Your own full-time employees can put the booth together themselves at the Gaylord Texan, since Texas is a right-to-work state. Material handling still runs through the resort's designated contractor, and an outside installer must be named to UIC in writing, with workers' compensation and $1 million liability cover.
Can we host a hospitality suite during UIC?
UIC's 2027 rules confine every exhibit to the booth space and bar displays in parking lots or hotel lobbies. Exhibitors also agree not to run hospitality suites, meetings or demonstrations while UIC is open or official events are in progress, so plan client time outside those hours.
What is the Connected Buyer Program at UIC?
Attendees sign up free when they register, and every five different exhibitors that scan their badge earns one prize entry. The 2027 drawing is in the exhibit hall at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, and winners must be present, which keeps the floor busy late on day two.
Can we rent a booth for UIC?
We rent frames, counters, sample plinths and lighting with your graphics, sized to UIC's height limits. Contractors and liner makers often rent the structure and put the budget into a cut pipe section and a tooling display that travel to every trenchless show.
Can we reuse the UIC booth at other underground shows?
The same kit fits the NASTT No-Dig Show in Raleigh two months later, and scales up for The Utility Expo or WWETT. We design it in modules, store it between shows and swap graphics when you move from sewer rehabilitation to gas or fiber messaging.
