Where prospects change hands: NAPE Summit 2027 booths in Houston

At NAPE a booth is a deal desk: maps on the wall, a table for the landman and the investor, and room to talk terms in a day and a half of hall time. At the George R. Brown Convention Center the floor is bare concrete, so we bring flooring, and Freeman runs the docks.

  • 450+ exhibitors per NAPE
  • Hall open Feb 4–5

What makes NAPE Summit different, and how we build for it

NAPE Summit is a marketplace first: exploration and production companies come to sell prospects and producing properties, capital providers come to fund them, and vendors serve both from a dedicated area of the GRB floor.NAPE prices booths by exhibitor type, so a vendor 10×10 costs more than ten times a prospect booth. The floor now carries eight hubs, from the Prospect Hub's eight-minute theater pitches to the Critical Minerals, Minerals & NonOp, Offshore, Renewable Energy, Data Center and Bitcoin Mining hubs. Booths are assigned by NAPE's Priority Point System, and the hall is open only a day and a half, so every hour counts.

Landmen, geologists and E&P deal teams

Readable acreage maps, play outlines and production curves on the wall, and a table where they can open a data room on a laptop without the aisle reading over their shoulder.

Capital providers and investors

A fast read of who you are and what deal size you handle, a quiet seat for a first conversation, and a clear contact for the follow-up after NAPE Week.

Operators shopping for services

Land, title, seismic, data, legal and AI service vendors who explain in one line what they do for an independent producer, with a person free to talk the moment they stop.

Your team in Houston

From our two shops to the NAPE Summit floor

We build in our own production shop in Fishkill, NY, and our Las Vegas hub, ship to the George R. Brown Convention Center, and install with our own project manager on the floor and vetted local labor. Turnaround is a predictable 30 to 45 days, with pre-show QA and secure storage for your NAPE Summit booth.

Your team arrives at NAPE Summit to a lit, stocked booth. You just show up.

NAPE Summit rules that shape your booth

Promotion limited by exhibitor type

Prospect exhibitors may show only prospects or producing properties, capital providers only their financing, and vendors only their own products and services. We write every panel to the category on your contract so nothing has to come down on the floor.

Organizer rule

Leaving early costs priority points

Vacating or dismantling a booth before the show closes costs 5 priority points, and points decide next year's booth location. We schedule dismantle to start only after the Friday 1 p.m. close.

Organizer rule

Booth floors are bare

Freeman's 2027 Quick Facts state that the exhibit area is not carpeted, only the aisles get black carpet, and exhibitors may install their own flooring. We include flooring in every NAPE quote.

Organizer rule

No uncrated freight at the warehouse

Freeman's warehouse refuses uncrated freight, COD shipments, hazardous materials and any single piece over 4,500 pounds or 108 by 93 by 144 inches. We crate everything to those limits before it leaves our shop.

Organizer rule

Badges are sold separately

NAPE booth registration does not include attendee badges; staff need an Experience or Experience+ pass, and attendees must be 18 or older. We list badge needs on your planning sheet so nobody is stopped at the door.

02 Booths & pricing for NAPE Summit 2027

Popular booth sizes at NAPE Summit

NAPE sells space in 10×10 units, priced by exhibitor type; NAPE frames each unit in pipe and drape and adds a 7×44-inch name sign. For vendors we recommend a 10×20 (two units) with a map or capability wall and a meeting counter; larger operators and sponsors combine units into 20×20 and bigger footprints.

04 Designing for upstream oil and gas operators, capital providers and energy service vendors at NAPE Summit

Four things we get right for NAPE Summit exhibitors

Woman engineer in a hard hat and safety vest standing with arms crossed on site1

Make the map the hero

At NAPE the product is often acreage. We print large-format basin and lease maps sharp enough to read at arm's length, light them evenly and mount them at standing eye level, so a geologist can trace the play without asking for a printout.

Several pumpjacks working in hilly scrubland beside utility poles2

Bring your own floor

Freeman's NAPE Quick Facts say the exhibit area is not carpeted; only the aisles get black carpet, and exhibitors may install flooring. We build padded flooring into the quote so your team is not standing on concrete for a nine-hour Thursday.

Yellow-legged offshore production platform standing in the sea under scattered clouds3

Plan for a day and a half

The hall opens Thursday at 9 a.m. and closes Friday at 1 p.m. We set up a booth that works the moment the doors open: packets restocked under the counter, screens on timers, and meeting slots planned around the Prospect Hub theater schedule.

Wind turbine above wide green Texas farmland with a wind farm on the horizon4

Respect the exhibitor type

NAPE limits what each category may promote: prospect exhibitors discuss only prospects and properties, capital providers only their financing, vendors only their own products and services. We write your graphics to fit the category on your contract.

Where you could be at NAPE Summit 2027

NAPE fills the George R. Brown Convention Center each February, with registration on the first floor; the organizer does not publish which halls it uses. These are the GRB features that shape a NAPE booth.

A

Vendor and service area

NAPE places vendors and service providers in a dedicated area of the floor, separate from the E&P prospect booths and capital providers.

Our advice Your neighbors are other vendors, so the wall has to state in one line what you do for a producer; we write that line first.

B

Expo hubs

Eight hubs share the floor in 2027, including the Prospect Hub theater, Data Center, Critical Minerals and Renewable Energy hubs.

Our advice Hub talks pull crowds at set times; we plan staffing and screen loops around the theater schedule nearest your booth.

C

GRB loading docks

The building is not linked to the downtown tunnel system, and Freeman starts receiving direct freight at the facility on February 1, 2027.

Our advice Shipments arriving earlier may be refused, so we time trucks to February 1 or use the advance warehouse.

Logistics for NAPE Summit 2027, handled

Freeman is NAPE's service contractor. Its warehouse accepts crated or skidded freight from January 4, 2027, charges extra after January 25, and refuses uncrated freight and any piece over 4,500 pounds or 108 by 93 by 144 inches; the GRB dock receives from February 1. Move-in runs February 1 to 3, and every crate must leave by noon on February 6, with carriers checked in by 10 a.m. Texas right-to-work law lets your own employees help assemble. We order flooring and services before Freeman's January 4 discount deadline and staff install with our own project manager.

Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for the building that hosts NAPE Summit are in our George R. Brown Convention Center exhibitor guide.

What Purple handles

  • Large-format acreage and basin maps printed sharp enough to read up close
  • Booth flooring for NAPE's uncarpeted hall
  • Freeman orders placed before the January 4, 2027 discount
  • Crating to meet the warehouse's no-uncrated rule
  • Confidential meeting rooms for data-room conversations
  • Install with our project manager and vetted Houston labor

NAPE Summit exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before NAPE Summit

When is NAPE Summit 2027?

NAPE Summit 2027 runs February 3–5, 2027. The Energy Business Conference fills Wednesday, February 3, and the exhibit hall opens Thursday, February 4 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday, February 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where is NAPE Summit 2027 held?

At the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston, where NAPE holds the Summit every February. Registration and onsite booth sales sit at the first-floor registration desk, and the building has complimentary Wi-Fi throughout.

How much does a booth at NAPE Summit cost?

NAPE prices each 10×10 by exhibitor type: vendors and service providers pay $7,750 through December 11, 2026 and $8,500 from December 12; E&P companies and capital providers pay $700, then $900. Badges, furniture and electrical are extra. Our booth build is separate, from $7,500 for a 10×20 rental.

What is included with a NAPE booth?

Every 10×10 unit includes black drape eight feet high at the back and three feet at the sides, a wastebasket, a 7×44-inch identification sign and listings in the program and mobile app. The booth floor itself is not carpeted, so flooring, furniture and power come from Freeman or from us.

How many people attend NAPE Summit?

NAPE's sponsorship prospectus cites 8,200+ expected attendees, 3,400+ companies represented and 450+ exhibiting companies, with 80% of attendees at the decision-maker level. Final attendance for 2027 is not confirmed yet.

Who organizes NAPE Summit?

NAPE Expo LP, based in Fort Worth, Texas, runs the Summit, books the booths, assigns space through its Priority Point System and runs the hubs and the Energy Business Conference. Freeman is the service contractor for furnishings, freight and labor.

How are NAPE booth locations assigned?

By priority points. Each 10×10 booked directly with NAPE earns 10 points a year, and half-page or larger ads and sponsorships earn 10 more. Leaving early costs 5 points, skipping two years forfeits them all, and ties go to the earliest contract. Assignments happen at NAPE's Fort Worth office.

Is NAPE Summit open to the public?

NAPE is a business marketplace for the energy industry. Attendees buy an Experience or Experience+ pass, must be 18 or older, and business attire is strongly recommended. Students can buy a $75 pass at check-in with a valid student ID.

What can each type of exhibitor show at NAPE?

NAPE limits promotion by category. Prospect and property exhibitors may show only prospects or producing properties, capital providers only the financing they offer, and vendors only their own products and services. We design your wall to the category on your booth contract.

What are the NAPE expo hubs?

The 2027 floor lists eight: the Prospect Hub with eight-minute theater pitches, plus Critical Minerals, Minerals & NonOp, Offshore, Renewable Energy, Career & Professional Development, Bitcoin Mining and Data Center hubs. A booth near the hub that matches your buyers gets the most qualified walk-ups.

When are the Freeman shipping deadlines for NAPE 2027?

Freeman's warehouse at 960 Pleasantville Drive takes crated freight from January 4, 2027 and adds a late charge after January 25. Direct shipments reach the GRB from February 1. The advance-order discount on Freeman services also ends January 4.

Can we set up our own NAPE booth at the GRB?

Your full-time employees may help assemble under Texas right-to-work law, while Freeman handles freight from dock to booth. If you supervise Freeman labor, you pick it up at the Labor Desk. We take on the whole install so your deal team arrives to a finished booth.

Can we reuse the NAPE booth at other Houston energy shows?

A modular map wall and meeting counter adapt well to PPIM in January, OTC at NRG Park in May and Gastech at the GRB in September 2027. We store the booth between shows and reprint the maps when your acreage changes.

Before you sign for NAPE Summit

Five things to ask every builder quoting NAPE Summit:

  1. Are all fees on paper, including what the contractor at the George R. Brown Convention Center bills?
  2. Who actually builds it for NAPE Summit: your shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor at the George R. Brown Convention Center for install and dismantle?
  4. What exactly is in the rental, and what does NAPE Summit bill?
  5. What happens to the booth after NAPE Summit, and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it to the George R. Brown Convention Center, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for and bring it to NAPE Summit.

Exhibiting from outside the US? For NAPE Summit, we act as your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, and one project manager who answers your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? In two to three weeks, a rental with your graphics can be ready for Houston. We tell you on the first call what is realistic before NAPE Summit.
