POWERGEN 2027 runs January 18–21, 2027. Workshops and the PacifiCorp plant tours come first, the opening keynote is on January 19, and the exhibit hall is open January 19 and 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and January 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., per the event schedule.

At the Salt Palace Convention Center in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, with PacifiCorp as host utility. Clarion Events has already set the next two editions: January 24–27, 2028 in Las Vegas and January 29 to February 1, 2029 in Fort Lauderdale.

POWERGEN 2026 brought together 8,164 registered power generation professionals and 539 exhibitors from 66 countries and all 50 states, including 330 owner/operator companies, per Clarion's recap. For 2027 Clarion projects 9,000+ attendees and 540+ exhibitors with a 2:1 buyer-to-seller ratio.

POWERGEN exhibitors are gas turbine and combined-cycle suppliers, engine and genset makers, nuclear, hydrogen, storage and geothermal technology firms, pumps, valves, transformers, controls and plant service companies. In 2026, 46% of the 539 exhibitors were new to the show, per Clarion's recap.

Clarion does not publish POWERGEN space rates; you request pricing through the Book Your Booth form and the sales team quotes your space. On our side, a 10×20 rental runs $7,500 to $15,000 and a custom 20×20 island $50,000 to $120,000, and equipment supports and a meeting room move that number most here.

The Expo Group, whose @theexpogroup.com address the POWERGEN FAQ lists as the official domain for booth setup, shipping and exhibit services. We place your freight, material handling, electrical and rigging orders with The Expo Group and treat any other company offering those services as a scam.

December 28, 2026 is the last day for discounted rates through Connections Housing, the only official POWERGEN housing company; after that rates are not guaranteed. Rooms cancelled less than 72 hours before arrival are charged one night's room and tax.

By early November 2026 for a custom build, giving the shop its 30 to 45 days and an early-January ship to The Expo Group's warehouse. A rental with new graphics can sign off into early December. Send your equipment list with weights first, because supports drive the schedule.

We plan heavy equipment from your weights and dimensions, order the forklift and material handling through The Expo Group and set each piece during move-in before the hall opens on January 19. 2027 floor-load and running-equipment rules are not confirmed yet, so we file your equipment details with the exhibitor kit as soon as it opens.

We rent inline and island structures printed with your graphics, and many first-time POWERGEN exhibitors pair a rental frame with a custom equipment plinth. With 46% of 2026 exhibitors new to the show, a rental is a sound way to test the Salt Lake City floor before committing to a custom island.

POWERGEN is a professional event; registration is priced by company type, and spouses can add exhibition-only access for $50. Children under 14 are not permitted, minors 15 and older are approved case by case, and firearms are prohibited, per the POWERGEN FAQ.

Knowledge Hub sessions, meeting rooms and zones are part of the 2027 floor plan, and the Connections Lunch and the Networking Reception are held on the exhibit floor. The Data Center Meetup and the OEM Meetup run during hall hours, so we keep your booth ready for those traffic peaks.

The same build carries to EGSA's spring conference in Houston as graphics and a counter, to the Hydrogen Americas Summit and to OTC. We design the equipment plinths and walls as modules, keep them in storage between events and reprint the graphics for each audience.
