Interconnection queues to battery racks: RE+ Northeast 2027 booths in Boston

RE+ Northeast buyers are EPCs and installers working through New England and New York interconnection queues, so we build a booth that answers storage and solar questions at the aisle. At the BCEC we plan freight around Boston's union labor rules and the hall's Summer Street docks.

  • Feb 2–4, 2027 · BCEC Hall A
  • 210+ exhibitors in 2026

What makes RE+ Northeast different, and how we build for it

RE+ Northeast is the regional RE+ show that SEIA and SEPA run in Boston for the New England and New York market, and Trade Show Executive named it to its Fastest 50 for the Class of 2024.Its 2026 program staggered the days: education on February 3–4, the Expo Hall on February 4–5. Session titles show what drives this market: BESS barriers in the Northeast, virtual power plants, interconnection queue reform and a Massachusetts state briefing. The Energy Transition Theater sat on the show floor, and RE+ Business Labs were run with EMerge Alliance, Energize Us, Young Professionals in Energy Boston and Project Vanguard. Solar (81%) and batteries (79%) led 2026 technology interest.

EPCs and developers

EPC companies were the largest 2026 segment. They are building community solar and storage under state programs and want module, inverter and BESS suppliers who can document lead times, interconnection support and cold-climate performance.

Installers and contractors

Installer/contractor was 18% of the 2026 audience. They compare racking, inverters and batteries for rooftops that carry snow load, and they want a distributor name and training dates before leaving the booth.

Utility, IPP and policy staff

Independent power producers, consultants and state program staff come for the queue and VPP sessions; they look for grid-edge, load management and microgrid partners who understand Massachusetts and New York rules.

RE+ Northeast rules that shape your booth

Space sold by the square foot

RE+ Northeast prices 2027 space at $36 per square foot for SEIA premium or SEPA members and $41 for others, first come, first served. We size the footprint to your products before you reserve, so the space cost and the build match.

Organizer rule

Package is floor plus a sign

The 2027 booth package lists only the space, a paper ID sign, two conference registrations, five guest passes and a marketing toolkit. We supply flooring, furniture, lighting and signage as part of the booth so nothing in Hall A is bare.

Organizer rule

No marketing outside the booth

RE+ Events terms forbid promoting your company anywhere past your booth line; flyers on session tables get thrown out, and repeat offenders lose the booth with no refund. We design the booth to pull people in from the Hall A aisle instead.

Organizer rule

Innovation Zone has eligibility caps

Start-Up Program booths are open only to companies with fewer than 25 employees, under $3 million in funding and under $1 million in revenue; offshoots of larger firms are excluded. We build graphics and a counter that fit the $2,000 package.

04 Designing for solar, energy storage, inverter, racking and grid-edge suppliers selling into New England and New York at RE+ Northeast

Four things we get right for RE+ Northeast exhibitors

Farmhouse with solar panels on the roof surrounded by green fields and forest1

Answer the interconnection question

Queue reform and BESS barriers headlined the 2026 RE+ Northeast sessions. A wall graphic that shows how your inverter or battery clears utility review in Massachusetts and New York gets developers to stop more reliably than a spec sheet.

Line worker in a bucket lift repairing power lines above a residential street2

Design for two show days, not three

In 2026 the Expo Hall opened only on the last two days, after education started. We plan the booth to be fully staffed and lit from the first floor hour, with meetings booked ahead, because there is no quiet third day to catch up.

Project manager and foreman in hardhats checking documents between solar panels3

Batteries need a real base

Batteries drew 79% interest among 2026 attendees, close behind solar. A battery cabinet on the BCEC floor needs a load-spread platform and cable management; we engineer the base and file the electrical order so the display can run live.

Boston skyline and waterfront under a clear blue sky4

Show cold-climate performance

New England buyers ask how arrays and inverters perform under snow and February cold. We build a rooftop section with snow-load racking and real mounting hardware, so installers can test the clamps and rails with their hands.

Where you could be at RE+ Northeast 2027

RE+ Northeast fills one hall of the BCEC's exhibit level, with sessions in the meeting rooms above. These are the spaces the organizer and Purple's venue guide name.

A

Exhibit Level Hall A

Where RE+ Events has mapped the 2027 exhibits, one section of the BCEC's 516,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space across three bays.

Our advice Hall A is an exhibit-hall floor rather than a ballroom, so a battery cabinet or racking section can stand in the booth; we set it on a load-spreading base.

B

Energy Transition Theater

The show-floor theater RE+ Northeast ran in 2026; for 2027 a Show Floor Theater Session sponsorship is sold at $5,000.

Our advice Booths near the theater catch the crowd as sessions end; ask for a space facing its exit and keep an open corner.

C

Meeting rooms and Omni walkway

Education runs in the BCEC meeting rooms, and the headquarters Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport connects to the building by underground walkway.

Our advice Book short meetings in your booth between sessions; executives staying at the Omni can walk over between the hotel and the hall without going outside in February.

Logistics for RE+ Northeast 2027, handled

The BCEC exhibit level runs as three bays totalling 516,000 contiguous square feet, and RE+ Northeast 2027 is mapped in Exhibit Level Hall A. Booth carpentry here is Carpenters Local 327 work, booked via the official show contractor; Massachusetts labor is union labor. Boston is an expensive drayage market: another show's 2026 tariff here charged $323.95 a hundredweight for crates received at the advance warehouse. We size crates to cut weight, file the labor and electrical orders, and put our own project manager over the local carpenters.

What Purple handles

  • Booth design for Hall A at the BCEC
  • Battery cabinet bases and live power
  • Snow-load rooftop demo sections
  • Union labor and electrical orders
  • Crate sizing to control Boston drayage
  • Storage and reuse at RE+ Southeast

RE+ Northeast exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before RE+ Northeast

When is RE+ Northeast 2027?

RE+ Northeast 2027 runs Tuesday to Thursday, February 2–4, 2027, in Boston. The 2027 Expo Hall days are not confirmed yet. Last year the education program ran February 3–4 and the Expo Hall opened February 4–5, so plan for the floor to open after sessions begin.

Where is RE+ Northeast 2027 held?

RE+ Northeast 2027 is held in Boston's Seaport District at the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center, which most exhibitors still call the BCEC. The organizer's 2027 floor plan is drawn in Exhibit Level Hall A, and the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport sits across the street, connected by an underground walkway.

How much does booth space at RE+ Northeast cost?

For 2027, SEIA premium members and SEPA members pay $36 per square foot and nonmembers $41, so a 10×10 is about $3,600 or $4,100. Bundle discounts apply when you exhibit at several RE+ events. The build is extra: a 10×20 rental from us typically runs $7,500 to $15,000.

What comes with a RE+ Northeast booth?

The 2027 package covers the floor space, a paper identification sign with your company name, two complimentary full conference registrations, five guest passes and the exhibitor marketing toolkit. Tables, carpet and lighting are not in the list, so we include them in the booth we build or rent.

How many people attend RE+ Northeast?

The 2026 edition counted 3,500 attendees and 210+ exhibitors, and 76% of those attendees said they hold buying power, according to the RE+ 2026 report. The 2027 event page invites exhibitors to connect with 3,500+ professionals and 200+ regional and national companies.

Who exhibits at RE+ Northeast?

Regional and national solar, storage, inverter, racking, software and grid-edge companies. Among 2026 attendees, solar technologies (81%), batteries (79%), inverters (56%) and racking and mounting (44%) were the top interests, which tells you what the floor is built around.

Who organizes RE+ Northeast?

RE+ Events, based in Alexandria, Virginia, runs it on behalf of SEIA, the national solar trade group, and SEPA, the utility-focused power alliance. Proceeds return to the industry, as with RE+ in Las Vegas.

Is there a startup area at RE+ Northeast?

The RE+ Start-Up Program sells a 10×10 in the Innovation Zone for $2,000 including a skirted 6-foot table, carpet, a wastebasket, an app listing and four expo passes. Companies need fewer than 25 employees, under $3 million in funding and under $1 million in revenue.

Can we set up our own booth at the BCEC?

Your staff may handle small jobs within the venue's limits on size and height. Larger work at the BCEC is assembled by Carpenters Local 327 through the official contractor, because Massachusetts labor rules are union rules. Our project manager directs that crew, so your team walks into a finished booth.

What does drayage cost at the BCEC?

One 2026 BCEC show charged $323.95 per hundredweight for crates sent to the warehouse ahead of time and $404.94 for freight delivered straight to the hall, with a 200-pound minimum. RE+ Northeast's own tariff comes in its exhibitor kit; we put the estimate on your proposal.

Can we hand out materials in the session rooms?

RE+ Events keeps all marketing inside your contracted space: no promoting in aisles or hallways and no materials on conference tables, or the booth can be cancelled without refund. Hospitality suites also need the organizer's consent before the show.

Where do RE+ Northeast exhibitors stay?

The organizer's hotels are the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport (headquarters, $275 a night), the Aloft Boston Seaport District ($169) and the Element Boston Seaport District ($209), booked through the official portal. Logan Airport is 10 to 20 minutes by taxi, or the free Silver Line SL1.

Is RE+ Northeast worth exhibiting at?

For suppliers selling solar and storage into New England and New York, it puts EPCs, installers and IPPs from those states in one hall: Massachusetts and New York sent 46% of 2026 attendees. National brands without a Northeast channel get broader reach at RE+ in Las Vegas.

Before you sign for RE+ Northeast

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for RE+ Northeast:

  1. Will the proposal show every RE+ Northeast fee, including show contractor charges?
  2. Who builds the RE+ Northeast booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
  4. For RE+ Northeast, what is in the rental and what is billed by the show?
  5. Where does the booth go after RE+ Northeast, and what does storage cost?
