APPA National Conference 2027Orlando exhibitor guide: booth costs, dates and deadlines

APPA's Public Power National Conference runs June 18–23, 2027 in Orlando. The 2027 Industry Innovations Expo days and hours are not confirmed yet; in Boston in 2026 the expo opened on the Monday and Tuesday of the conference week after a Sunday move-in.

At the Orlando World Center Marriott on World Center Drive, southwest of downtown Orlando. APPA’s group rate is $247 a night plus 12.5% tax and a resort fee, currently $20, with a cutoff of Tuesday, May 25, 2027. The room block opens in early 2027.

At 2026 rates a 10×20 cost $4,000 for Elite Corporate Associate members, $4,500 for Corporate Associates and $8,000 for nonmembers; a 10×10 was $3,000, $3,500 and $7,000. A finished 10×20 rental exhibit from us typically adds $7,500 to $15,000.

The 2026 conference in Boston drew 1,675+ attendees from 350+ utilities, and 99 exhibitors took part in the Industry Innovations Expo, according to APPA. APPA describes the expo as connecting vendors with more than 1,200 utility CEOs, senior executives and policymakers.

Only 10×10 and 10×20 spaces, and APPA’s sponsorship page marks both sizes sold out. In 2026 the smaller space came with two booth staff badges and the larger with three, along with a logo in the printed program, an app listing and attendee lists before and after the event.

Under APPA’s expo policy, inline and corner booths may stand 8 feet tall only toward the rear, while the aisle-side half stops at 4 feet, and nothing may cross the booth lines. APPA supplies uniform draped backgrounds and sides.

Suppliers to public power leadership: generation makers like Wärtsilä Energy, Caterpillar and Bloom Energy, grid firms such as S&C Electric, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories and ERMCO, software providers like NISC and Survalent, and ratings and finance firms including Fitch Ratings and S&P Global Ratings.

Sponsors and vendors must offer products or services to electric utilities, and APPA has sole say over eligibility. Member rates apply only if APPA corporate associate membership is current at the time of the event.

Cancellations go to APPA in writing. Cancel 60 or more days before the first day and 50% of the fee is owed; 59 to 30 days, 75%; within 30 days, the full fee. If APPA cancels the event, sponsors receive a full refund.

Subletting is allowed only in special circumstances with APPA's prior written permission, and it carries a 50% premium on the space fee. You may show another exhibitor's equipment to present your own product, but not credit its maker.

The American Public Power Association, which represents not-for-profit, community-owned utilities powering about 2,000 towns and cities and serving more than 55 million people. The National Conference is its largest leadership meeting each June.

You may film inside your own booth, but photographing or videotaping other booths, events or activities needs the other exhibitor's permission. We plan your booth content so you have the footage you need without crossing that line.

For suppliers whose decision makers are public power CEOs and general managers, it is the one meeting where hundreds of them are in the same building for a week. The booths are small and uniform, so cost is modest and the message has to be sharp.
