Test sets on the table: PowerTest 2027 booths in Orlando
PowerTest visitors are NETA technicians who will put their hands on your relay test set, breaker tester or cable diagnostics, so we build counters strong enough for live gear. At Rosen Shingle Creek we plan for carpet, a shared hotel dock and hotel-exclusive power.
- Mar 8–12 · Shingle Creek
- 103 exhibitors in 2026
- Up to 4.8 CEUs per attendee
What makes PowerTest different, and how we build for it
PowerTest is NETA's own conference, and NETA writes the ANSI/NETA testing standards and certifies the technicians who apply them, so the room is full of people who run acceptance and maintenance tests for a living. The 2026 edition was the event's 54th year. Training fills most of the week: Monday tracks on relays, transformers, electrical safety and NFPA 70B, Tuesday panels, and four-hour seminars through Friday. The trade show is the one stretch built for vendors, with the PowerTalk Stage and NETA's Electrical Safety Immersion Experience on the floor. Attendees vote trade show awards, and in 2026 OMICRON took Best in Show and PowerX the Crowd Favorite.
Instruments they can pick up and run: relay test sets, breaker timers, insulation and cable diagnostics, with rental or purchase terms and calibration support.
Equipment that speeds up reports and NFPA 70B programs, software that turns field data into deliverables, and training partners for a growing technician workforce.
Switchgear, transformer and fluid service they can trust on critical assets, with case studies that show test results rather than slogans.
Your team in Orlando
One project manager, two shops, the whole PowerTest build
Production happens in our own shop in Fishkill, NY, and at our Las Vegas hub, and we ship to the Rosen Shingle Creek and install with vetted local labor, led by our own project manager on the floor. Turnaround is a predictable 30 to 45 days, with pre-show QA and secure storage for your PowerTest booth.
Your staff walks onto the PowerTest floor and the booth is already lit and stocked. You just show up.
New at PowerTest 2027
- Moves to Orlando's Rosen Shingle Creek
After Nashville in March 2026, PowerTest27 runs March 8–12, 2027 at Rosen Shingle Creek. A resort hotel means carpeted ballrooms, a dock shared with banquets and hotel-exclusive power, so booths should be light, case-packed and shipped through the advance warehouse. source
- Hospitality suites set aside
PowerTest26 ended with awards for its Hospitality Suite Night, but the PowerTest27 call for sponsors says hospitality suites are not being offered at this time. Evening customer entertaining moves into the booth, sponsorships and outside dinners. source
Inside PowerTest 2027
PowerTest rules that shape your booth
By sponsoring or exhibiting at any NETA event, a company agrees to NETA's Non-Recruitment Policy, which protects peer exchange among attendees and their employees. We keep hiring messages off the PowerTest booth graphics and brief your staff before the show.
NETA's PowerTest27 call for sponsors says hospitality suites are not being offered at this time. We shift the hosting budget into the booth: a counter bar or seating area sized to what the floor plan allows.
At Rosen Shingle Creek, audiovisual and rigging run through the hotel's AV partner, and power and internet are hotel exclusives. We size circuits to every live instrument and order them with the AV in one plan.
Rosen Shingle Creek does not allow empty cases in guest areas; empties carry EMPTY stickers to the contractor and a material handling agreement is filed before leaving. We tag cases as they are unpacked.
Programs worth planning for
A stage on the PowerTest trade show floor for expert insights, new technologies and industry trends, listed on the PowerTest27 floor plan beside the exhibitors.
NETA's hands-on safety program on the trade show floor, with demonstrations, simulations and a personal safety score; it occupied booth 923 in 2026 and is on the 2027 floor plan.
Attendee-voted awards for trade show experiences; 2026 winners were OMICRON (Best in Show), PowerX (Crowd Favorite), intellirent (Most Innovative) and Moonshot (Rising Star).
PowerTest27 sponsorships tied to the floor: walkway branding, the Exhibit Bar, a Specialty Booth Bar, the Trade Show Lunch and exhibit guide ads or enhanced listings.
PowerTest is the conference of NETA's electrical testing community; choose it over the IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Workshop when your buyers are field technicians and testing companies who buy or rent instruments and switchgear service, not safety program managers. 02 Booths & pricing for PowerTest 2027
Popular booth sizes at PowerTest
NETA publishes a floor plan but no public booth rate card or size list for PowerTest27, so 2027 booth sizes and prices are not confirmed yet. Most exhibitors are instrument makers, rental fleets and testing firms; we recommend a counter-led 10×20 where the floor allows it, built for carpet and a hotel dock.

Two sturdy counters for live instruments, a test set wired to a demo panel and a back wall that names the standards and test types you cover.

Digital simulations, real product showcases and a floor plan that guided visitors from first step to last, in an interactive booth for a global elevator manufacturer.
KLEEMANN needed real equipment and live simulation on one guided floor; PowerTest exhibitors face the same task with test sets that technicians want to run themselves.

04 Designing for electrical test equipment, protective relay, switchgear, transformer service and safety companies at PowerTest
Four things we get right for PowerTest exhibitors
1Counters that hold real gear
Relay test sets, primary injection units and cable diagnostics are heavy and get handled all day. We build counters with reinforced tops, cable management and lockable storage, so a technician can run your instrument at PowerTest without it shifting or overheating.
2Built for a hotel ballroom
Rosen Shingle Creek is carpeted almost everywhere and its dock is shared with banquets. We design light, case-packed structures that roll in by hand, protect the carpet under heavy equipment and go up inside a tight hotel window.
3Talk in the language of standards
PowerTest visitors think in ANSI/NETA ATS and MTS, NFPA 70B and 70E. We write the graphics around the tests you support and the standard clauses they satisfy, which reads faster to a NETA technician than a product slogan.
4Make the most of one day
NETA calls the trade show one day of real impact, and in 2026 it ran a single day of the conference. We plan staffing, demos and a fast-scan lead capture for one intense session, and schedule install and teardown around the training program.

Where you could be at PowerTest 2027
NETA has not said which function rooms PowerTest27 uses at Rosen Shingle Creek. These are the parts of the hotel that shape any exhibit there, from Purple's venue guide.
The main ballroom
About 95,000 sq ft and column-free, large enough for a general session of 6,000 or an expo of 300 booths.
Our advice Hotel ballrooms are carpeted, so we plan carpet protection under heavy instrument counters and check rigging points before any overhead sign.
Hotel loading dock
Shared with banquet operations, with tight target windows set by the hotel and the show contractor.
Our advice Freight goes to the advance warehouse and arrives in one consolidated delivery, so nothing waits on the dock.
Guest and meeting corridors
Empty cases and crates may not be stored in guest space; they go to the contractor once tagged.
Our advice We apply EMPTY stickers as we unpack and file the material handling agreement before we leave the floor.

Logistics for PowerTest 2027, handled
No union jurisdiction applies at Rosen Shingle Creek: exhibitor employees can assemble with hand tools, and outside labor comes through the show's contractor or Purple as your exhibitor-appointed contractor. Audiovisual, rigging, power and internet are hotel exclusives, so we order them in one plan. Banquets share the hotel dock and its target windows are tight, so freight goes through the advance warehouse. Empty cases cannot sit in guest space; they go to the contractor with EMPTY stickers, and we file the material handling agreement before leaving. Certificates name NETA and the hotel. A Purple project manager leads the contracted labor from unload to teardown.
This building's hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for PowerTest exhibitors are in our Rosen Shingle Creek exhibitor guide.
What Purple handles
- Reinforced counters for live test instruments
- Hotel power, rigging and internet orders
- Advance-warehouse shipping for a shared dock
- Carpet protection under heavy equipment
- Certificates naming NETA and the hotel
- Install and teardown around the training day

PowerTest exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before PowerTest
When is PowerTest 2027?
PowerTest27 runs Monday through Friday, March 8–12, 2027. NETA has not yet published which day the trade show opens, so the trade show day is not confirmed yet; in 2026 it ran on one day of the week. PowerTest28 follows on March 6–11, 2028.
Where is PowerTest 2027 held?
At Rosen Shingle Creek, 9939 Universal Blvd in Orlando, Florida, after the 2026 edition in Nashville. PowerTest28 moves to the Fort Worth Convention Center and PowerTest29 to Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, February 26 to March 2, 2029.
How many people attend PowerTest?
NETA's PowerTest27 site lists 1,500+ attendees, 100+ exhibitors and 80+ training sessions, and says attendees earned 11,000+ continuing education credits at PowerTest26. NETA counted 103 exhibitors at the 2026 trade show in Nashville.
Who exhibits at PowerTest?
Test instrument makers such as Megger, OMICRON, Doble Engineering and HV Diagnostics, rental fleets, testing and engineering firms such as Shermco Industries and Qualus, transformer and fluid companies, switchgear specialists, safety apparel makers and software platforms. NETA expects 100+ exhibitors for PowerTest27, and its map-dynamics floor plan lists the companies already booked.
How much does a booth at PowerTest cost?
NETA has no public booth rate card for 2027, so space prices are not confirmed yet; exhibit space is reserved directly with NETA. Sponsorship levels run from $1,000+ (Supporter) to $40,000+ (Ultra High Voltage). Purple prices the exhibit on its own proposal, from $7,500 for a 10×20 rental.
Can we host a hospitality suite at PowerTest 2027?
NETA's PowerTest27 call for sponsors says hospitality suites are not being offered at this time, a change from 2026, when attendees voted on a Hospitality Suite Night. Brand presence now runs through sponsorships such as the Exhibit Bar, Specialty Booth Bar and Trade Show Lunch.
Can we recruit technicians at PowerTest?
NETA's Non-Recruitment Policy applies to every sponsor and exhibitor at a NETA event, and taking part means agreeing to it. Plan your booth around products and services, not hiring, and keep job talk off the floor.
Can we set up our own booth at Rosen Shingle Creek?
The hotel is non-union, so company employees can assemble the booth using hand tools. Outside labor works through the show's contractor or through Purple as your exhibitor-appointed contractor, and audiovisual, rigging, power and internet are hotel exclusives.
How should we ship a booth to Rosen Shingle Creek?
Ship to the advance warehouse. The hotel dock is shared with banquets and runs tight target windows, and most of the function space is carpeted, so crates move by hand on floor protection. Empties go to the contractor, never into guest areas.
Who attends PowerTest?
Field service technicians, inspectors, utility associates, project managers, engineers, government personnel, reliability specialists, trainers, thermographers and wind energy professionals, per NETA. Many are NETA-certified technicians earning CTDs, the credits they need to stay certified.
What is on the PowerTest trade show floor?
Exhibitor booths, the PowerTalk Stage for expert talks and new technology, and NETA's Electrical Safety Immersion Experience, a hands-on safety program that sat in booth 923 in 2026. Attendees vote awards such as Best in Show and Most Innovative.
Is PowerTest worth exhibiting at?
It is for companies selling test equipment, testing services, switchgear and transformer service or safety products to the people who maintain power systems: the room is NETA's technician community. Companies selling utility-scale generation would find a wider audience at DistribuTECH.
Where do PowerTest exhibitors stay?
PowerTest27 is held at Rosen Shingle Creek, a resort hotel, so staff can sleep under the same roof as the trade show and sessions. PowerTest27 housing details are not confirmed yet on powertest.org; early-bird registration saves $100 per person through December 31, 2026.
Can we reuse a PowerTest booth at other shows?
A counter-based instrument booth carries over well to the IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Workshop in March, DistribuTECH and the IEEE PES General Meeting. We store it between shows and refresh the graphics for each audience.
Before you sign for PowerTest
Ask any PowerTest exhibit builder these five questions:
- Does the proposal list every fee, including the show contractor's bills?
- Who builds the PowerTest booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
- Who from your team is on the PowerTest floor for install and dismantle?
- For PowerTest, what is in the rental and what is billed by the show?
- Where does the booth go after PowerTest, and what does storage cost?
Common situations
Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it to the Rosen Shingle Creek, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for and bring it to PowerTest.
Exhibiting from outside the US? We handle the ground work for PowerTest: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager replying to your emails in your time zone.
Short on time? In two to three weeks, a rental with your graphics can be ready for Orlando. On the first call, we tell you what is realistic for PowerTest.
