Midwest megawatts by O'Hare: IESNA Midwest 2027 booths in Rosemont
We build IESNA Midwest booths for EPCs, developers and utility buyers who arrive with Illinois and MISO projects to source, so modules, inverters and racking sit where a buyer can read the spec. In Rosemont we plan around Illinois union labor and a hall ten minutes from O'Hare.

What makes IESNA Midwest different, and how we build for it
IESNA Midwest, formerly the Midwest Solar Expo, is the regional edition of the Intersolar & Energy Storage North America series produced by Diversified Communications; the flagship runs in San Diego in February. It is small and buyer-dense: 700+ professionals and 45+ exhibitors in 2026, with seven in ten exhibit hall attendees involved in purchasing. Ameren Illinois, ComEd, Xcel Energy, SOLV Energy and Nexamp sent people, and the program centers on Illinois Shines, community solar, MISO and PJM storage and interconnection queues. Every exhibitor gets one minute on stage in Exhibitors Speak, and the hall hosts the Pop-a-Shot tournament at happy hour.
Engineering, procurement and construction firms were the top business type in 2026. They compare module supply, racking install speed, inverter warranties and lead times for projects already in the Illinois pipeline.
Developers such as Arevon, Cypress Creek and Nexamp attend to line up equipment and partners for community solar and storage; they want bankable supply, domestic content details and delivery dates.
Ameren Illinois, ComEd, WEC Energy Group and distributors such as Greentech Renewables look for interconnection-ready products, distribution programs and suppliers who can support Midwest volume.

Inside IESNA Midwest 2027
IESNA Midwest rules that shape your booth
IESNA Midwest priced exhibit space at $41.25 per square foot in 2026, with a 6-foot table, two chairs, wastebasket and ID sign included. We design to the exact footprint you buy and reuse the included table inside a custom counter.
Each 100 sq ft of booth came with two full conference passes in 2026, and extra staff and clients paid half price. On a 10×20 that means four passes, so we plan a booth four people can run across both hall days.
In 2026 the keynote breakfasts and lunches were open only to conference, press and exhibitor pass holders and ran while the hall was open. We plan booth coverage so one person stays on the floor during each keynote meal.
IESNA Midwest lists its branded experiences, from the opening reception to the Pop-a-Shot game and meeting rooms, under a booth prerequisite, and 2026 orders closed in early May. We produce the signage and napkins to the same artwork as your booth.
Programs worth planning for
A one-minute showcase for exhibitors after the keynote on the first hall day, included with every booth and sponsor package in 2026.
In 2026, six hands-on workshops on the opening day covered finance, cybersecurity, PV reliability, O&M, workforce and residential sales; four offered NABCEP CEU credits.
Host, Terawatt, Gigawatt, Megawatt and Kilowatt packages in 2026 ran $6,190 to $26,800, bundling a booth, conference passes, website logo and onsite signage.
IESNA Midwest is the regional solar and storage floor for Illinois and its neighbors; choose it over the San Diego Intersolar & Energy Storage North America flagship when your buyers are Midwest EPCs, developers and utilities rather than a national audience. Popular booth sizes at IESNA Midwest
IESNA Midwest sells space by the square foot ($41.25 in 2026), and sponsor tiers come with a premium 20×20 (Host) or 10×20 (Terawatt) booth. With 45+ exhibitors in 2026 the hall is compact, so a well-lit 10×20 holds its own; we recommend a 20×20 when you show a battery cabinet or a racking section at full size.

Shapoorji Pallonji at an engineering and infrastructure exhibition
A structured, powerful booth for a global engineering group founded in 1865, built to communicate scale, trust and engineering excellence.
Shapoorji Pallonji's booth had to make an engineering group read as large and reliable; a solar or storage maker courting Midwest EPCs and utilities in Rosemont needs the same impression of scale in a compact space.

04 Designing for solar module, inverter, racking, storage and solar services companies at IESNA Midwest
Four things we get right for IESNA Midwest exhibitors
1Win the one-minute Exhibitors Speak
Every IESNA Midwest booth package in 2026 came with a one-minute slot after the keynote. We design the booth's lead graphic to match that minute, the same product and the same line, so people who heard it at breakfast find you in the hall.
2Two short hall days
The 2026 hall ran Tuesday 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., broken up by keynote breakfasts and lunches. With barely 14 hours of floor time, every square foot needs to start a conversation; we skip display filler and give staff room to talk.
3Show a utility-scale system small
IESNA Midwest's floor categories run from modules and racking to storage, grid integration and recycling. We build a cutaway that shows a pile, a tracker rail, a module and the inverter together at tabletop scale, so a developer sees your piece of a 100 MW project.
Make room for students on Wednesday
In 2026 students had exhibit hall access from noon to 3 p.m. on the last day, alongside workforce groups such as IBEW and Powering Chicago. If you are hiring installers, we add a careers panel and QR code that works without pulling sales staff off buyers.

Where you could be at IESNA Midwest 2027
IESNA Midwest has not published its hall assignment inside the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center for 2027. These are the parts of the building every exhibitor deals with.
Main exhibit hall
840,000 sq ft in total and divisible, so a show of IESNA Midwest's size uses one section; islands, hanging signs and forklifts are routine here.
Our advice A compact section means short sightlines; a back wall at 10 to 12 feet with lit spec panels does more than height.
Meeting and breakout rooms
Conference sessions, keynote meals and workshops run in the center's meeting rooms; in 2026 a private meeting room sold for $4,000 as a sponsorship.
Our advice If you plan developer or utility meetings, the paid meeting room keeps them off a busy two-day floor.
Skybridge garage and docks
The main garage links to the center by skybridge at $20.00 per 24 hours; docks open onto River Road with expressway access.
Our advice The 7-foot-3-inch garage limit rules out vans with roof racks; we send freight to the advance warehouse instead.
05 Donald E. Stephens Convention Center · Rosemont
Logistics for IESNA Midwest 2027, handled
IESNA Midwest stays on River Road in Rosemont, ten minutes from O'Hare, where freight trucks come off the Kennedy or Tri-State and never touch the Loop. Illinois is not a right-to-work state, so the show contractor supplies exhibit labor and the kit sets what your own staff may assemble. One 2026 freight guide for this building charged $145.00 per hundredweight for crated freight through the advance warehouse. Every fabric needs an Illinois flame certificate, and the insurance certificate names both the organizer and the Village of Rosemont. Our Fishkill, NY shop builds the booth, and our project manager runs the Rosemont install with vetted Illinois labor.
IESNA Midwest exhibitors can find this building's hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines in our Donald E. Stephens Convention Center exhibitor guide.

IESNA Midwest exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before IESNA Midwest
When is IESNA Midwest 2027?
IESNA Midwest 2027 runs June 14–16, 2027 in Rosemont, Illinois, per the organizer. Exhibit hall days for 2027 are not confirmed yet; in 2026 the event opened with workshops on Monday and the hall ran Tuesday and Wednesday.
Where is IESNA Midwest held?
IESNA Midwest returns to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center on North River Road in Rosemont, the building it used in 2026. The organizer's venue page puts it a few minutes from O'Hare and about twenty minutes from downtown Chicago, and a skybridge links the main garage to the halls.
How much is a booth at IESNA Midwest?
In 2026 exhibit space cost $41.25 per square foot, so a 10×20 came to $8,250 before services. Sponsor tiers bundled booths: Host at $26,800 with a premium 20×20, Terawatt at $15,465 with a premium 10×20. Our design and build is quoted separately on a fixed proposal.
What does an IESNA Midwest booth include?
The 2026 package included two full conference staff passes per 100 sq ft, half-price passes for more staff and clients, a 6-foot table, two chairs, a wastebasket, an ID sign, an app listing and a one-minute speaking slot after the keynote, with lunch, coffee and happy hour.
How many people attend IESNA Midwest?
The 2026 edition drew 700+ solar and storage professionals from 32 U.S. states and 8 countries, with 45+ exhibiting companies, 82 speakers and 13 conference sessions, per the organizer's post-show report. Seven in ten exhibit hall attendees were involved in purchasing.
Who exhibits at IESNA Midwest?
The 2026 exhibitor list mixed manufacturers such as Sungrow, REC Americas, Heliene USA and Gautam Solar with racking makers such as APA Solar Racking and SunModo, distributor Greentech Renewables, storage firms such as NeoVolta, and workforce groups including NABCEP and Powering Chicago.
What were the IESNA Midwest exhibit hall hours?
In 2026 the hall opened Tuesday, June 16 at 9 a.m. and closed at 5 p.m., then ran Wednesday, June 17 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., with students admitted noon to 3 p.m. that day. The 2027 hours are not confirmed yet.
Who organizes IESNA Midwest?
Diversified Communications produces the IESNA event series: the flagship in San Diego (February 9–11, 2027), IESNA Midwest in Rosemont and an IESNA Texas edition whose 2027 details are still to come. The Midwest show was formerly called the Midwest Solar Expo.
Is IESNA Midwest open to the public?
It is a trade event for solar, storage and clean energy professionals, with paid passes for the conference and exhibit hall. In 2026 keynote breakfasts and lunches were limited to conference, press and exhibitor pass holders, and students had hall access on the final afternoon.
Can we install our own booth in Rosemont?
Because Illinois has no right-to-work law, the show contractor provides exhibit labor in Rosemont, and how much your own staff may assemble is written into the IESNA Midwest kit. We file the labor and service forms, send the certificate naming the organizer and the Village of Rosemont, and supervise the crew ourselves.
What does drayage cost at the Stephens Center?
One 2026 freight guide for a show in this building charged $145.00 per hundredweight on crated shipments sent to the advance warehouse, a rate that covered storage, booth delivery and reloading. IESNA Midwest's own 2027 freight rate comes in its exhibitor kit; our proposal carries the drayage estimate line by line.
Does IESNA Midwest offer continuing education credits?
In 2026 six pre-conference workshops covered project finance after the ITC, cybersecurity, PV reliability, O&M, workforce and residential sales, and four of them offered NABCEP CEU credits. The 2027 workshop list is not confirmed yet.
Should we pick IESNA Midwest or the San Diego flagship?
Choose Midwest when your buyers are Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana EPCs, developers and utilities; Illinois led the 2026 state list. The San Diego flagship in February is the national floor. A booth built for Rosemont ships to San Diego for the next season.
Where can exhibitors park at IESNA Midwest?
Public parking is in the William St. Garage and East Parking Garage at $20.00 for 24 hours per the organizer's venue page, with no in-and-out privileges and a 7-foot-3-inch height limit. The main garage connects to the center by skybridge.
Before you sign for IESNA Midwest
Ask any IESNA Midwest exhibit builder these five questions:
- Will the proposal show every IESNA Midwest fee, including show contractor charges?
- Who builds the IESNA Midwest booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
- Who from your team is on the IESNA Midwest floor for install and dismantle?
- What exactly is in the rental, and what does IESNA Midwest bill?
- Where does the booth go after IESNA Midwest, and what does storage cost?
