What makes ASE Scientific Sessions different, and how we build for it
ASE 2027 is the 38th Annual Scientific Sessions of the American Society of Echocardiography, the society of 17,000+ members that writes the field's imaging guidelines, and its Echo Expo is a specialist hall: ASE admits only exhibits directly related to cardiovascular ultrasound. In 2026 the Expo held 60+ companies, four Echo Education Hubs and an Accelerator Hub of five start-ups. The people walking it scan for a living, so they test the knobs, the image and the measurement. Every exhibitor signs ASE's Live Scanning Compliance Certification, and under the 2027 theme, Big Waves. Rules that shape your booth
Every ASE exhibitor completes the Live Scanning Compliance Certification Form, which follows AIUM's live-scanning resources and FDA rules for continuous scanning at society events. We plan the scanning bay, privacy screen and probe-cleaning space around the checklist you certify.
Inline back walls stop at 8 feet, and side structures may reach 8 feet only for 5 feet from the back wall, then drop to 4 feet. We draw consoles, counters and screens to those lines before you approve the design.
ASE allows no exhibit not directly related to cardiovascular ultrasound, shows only products it approves, and asks new exhibitors for each product's government approval status. We print approval status beside each device so the graphics match what ASE cleared.
Exhibitors follow the PhRMA and AdvaMed codes, AMA and Ethical MedTech guidelines, and log every giveaway or booth activity on ASE's form; selling on the floor needs ASE's prior approval. We design an activity station that fits what you declare.
Sound must stay under 65 decibels measured from the aisle, with audio in the rear half of an inline booth or 5 feet inside an island's edge; repeat offenders lose half their Priority Points. We aim speakers inward and caption aisle-facing screens.

Industry-sponsored theaters on the Echo Expo floor, six of them at the 2025 meeting in Nashville. ASE lists them among the traffic drivers every exhibitor benefits from, alongside ePosters and the FASE Lounge.

Four things we get right for ASE Scientific Sessions exhibitors
1A scanning bay that passes compliance
ASE asks every exhibitor to return its Live Scanning Compliance Certification Form, built on AIUM guidance and FDA rules for live scanning at society events. We design the bay around your checklist: exam bed or model placement, a privacy screen, probe-cleaning space and a console angle that lets a crowd watch without crowding the scanner.
Hold the tall wall to five feet
In an ASE inline booth anything over 4 feet stays within 5 feet of the back wall, which stops at 8 feet. So we put the echo loop screens and the brand header on the back wall, keep consoles and counters low in front, and make sure a reader in the aisle sees the clip over the counter.
Light the image, not the room
Grey-scale echo clips wash out under bright hall light, and the 2026 Echo Expo was full of automated strain, LV measurement and AI reporting demos competing for the same eyes. We shade the reading screen, use dimmable warm lighting over the bay and mount the monitor where the 65-decibel sound rule keeps narration at the back of the booth.
Give the fellow and the director a seat
Fellows in training made up 12% of ASE 2026 attendees, and lab directors arrive with accreditation and throughput questions. We add a two-stool teaching counter beside the bay and, when the talk turns to purchasing, point you to an ASE Business Suite at $41 per square foot for a closed room.

Logistics for ASE Scientific Sessions 2027, handled
The City of Tampa runs this convention center without union jurisdiction, and Florida is right-to-work, so employees on your payroll can assemble the booth themselves using hand tools. Freeman is ASE's general service contractor and the building itself supplies electrical, rigging and internet. Freight enters at the east docks off Channelside Drive, and we plan drayage at about $155 per hundredweight. ASE requires the exhibitor to file the EAC notice by April 16, 2027 with our certificate of insurance on file, booth carpet down by 9 a.m. on June 4 and every booth ready for inspection by 11 a.m. Our project manager runs the install with vetted Tampa labor, a skybridge away from Embassy Suites.

Hall guide
ASE's Echo Expo goes into the Tampa Convention Center, a single-level waterfront building. These are the spaces this building uses for exhibits and meetings, plus the Expo features ASE ran in 2026.
Purple's venue guide puts the hall at roughly 200,000 square feet on a single concrete level that splits into sections, served by east-side loading docks reached from Channelside Drive.
Our advice: One level and direct docks mean a heavy ultrasound cart rolls straight to the booth; we still crate it and book a Freeman target time.
The 2024 waterfront wing added 18 meeting rooms with bay views; half of them, nine rooms, have doors straight onto the exhibit floor, per Purple's venue guide.
Our advice: ASE assigns all meeting space itself, so a room behind your booth is requested through ASE Event Management, never the building.
In 2026 the Expo held four Echo Education Hubs and an Accelerator Hub with five start-ups, and ASE counts its Science & Technology Theaters among the floor's traffic drivers.
Our advice: Theater sessions release crowds in waves, so we keep the front of your booth open and the scanning bay a step back from the aisle.

How much does a booth at ASE Scientific Sessions 2027 cost?
Most echo exhibitors here start with a 10×20 inline: ASE charges $7,400 for the space at $37 per square foot, plus $150 per corner, and a rental booth runs $7,500 to $15,000 on top. A custom 20×20 island runs $50,000 to $120,000 plus $17,400 in island space. Exam beds, calibrated screens and probe storage move the build number.
What is the deadline to book booth space for ASE 2027?
ASE's Priority Point window closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, and every application needs a 50% deposit. After that, space goes in order of application. The balance is due March 12, 2027, and applications after that date must pay 100% upfront. We need design sign-off by late March.
Can we rent a booth for ASE Scientific Sessions, and what does a rental include?
We rent complete booths with your graphics, an 8-foot back wall, a low counter for the console, lighting, monitor mounts, freight, install and dismantle. ASE gives inline exhibitors only drape, 3-foot sidewalls and an ID sign, and carpet is your job by 9 a.m. on June 4, so carpet goes on our proposal too.
Can our own staff set up our booth at the Tampa Convention Center?
The building is non-union and city-run, so full-time employees may assemble a booth with hand tools. To bring us in as your installer, ASE requires you, not us, to file the Notification of Intent to Use an EAC by April 16, 2027, and our certificate of insurance must be on file before we enter the hall.
Can we do live scanning at our ASE Scientific Sessions booth?
Scanning demos are central to the Echo Expo, but every exhibitor must complete ASE's Live Scanning Compliance Certification Form, which follows AIUM's live-scanning resources and FDA rules for society events. ASE posts the form and its due date in the Exhibitor Resource Center. We build the bay, privacy screen and cleaning station to match your answers.
What does drayage cost at the Tampa Convention Center, and who pays?
At ASE, Freeman moves crates from the Tampa dock to the Echo Expo floor and invoices you by the hundredweight. Our Tampa planning figure is about $155 per hundredweight, with Florida minimums and surcharges on top, so a crated 10×20 plus an ultrasound cart adds up quickly. We consolidate crates, ship to the advance warehouse and list drayage as its own proposal line.
How does ASE decide where our booth goes?
ASE ranks applicants by Priority Points earned over five years: one point per square foot booked, one merit point for exhibiting in 2026, up to six points for sponsorship, and five bonus points toward 2028 for completing the exhibitor survey. Ties go to the earlier application and deposit, and after October 21, 2026, placement follows date order.
Can we play video or narrated demos in our ASE booth?
ASE caps sound at 65 decibels measured from the aisle, and speakers, videos and presentations with audio must sit in the rear half of an inline booth or 5 feet in from an island's edge. Breaking it costs warnings, then half your Priority Points. We aim speakers inward and use captions on aisle-facing screens.
Can we reuse our ASE booth at other cardiology meetings?
We build the scanning bay, screen wall and counters to reconfigure, so the same kit can go to ACC.27 in Houston, Heart Rhythm 2027 in San Francisco and AHA Scientific Sessions in Boston with new graphics for each. Between shows it stays in our storage, gets refreshed and ships to the next advance warehouse.
When is ASE Scientific Sessions 2027?
ASE 2027 runs Friday, June 4 to Sunday, June 6, 2027. The Echo Expo opens at noon on June 4, runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 5 and closes at 2 p.m. on June 6, per ASE's 2027 exhibitor prospectus. For exhibitors the first hard date is the October 21, 2026 Priority Point deadline.

At the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin St, on the downtown waterfront in Tampa, Florida. ASE's 2027 hotel map places Embassy Suites, the JW Marriott and Marriott Water Street beside the center, with the TECO Line streetcar and the Riverwalk running past it and Tampa International Airport about 7 miles away.
How many people attend ASE Scientific Sessions?
ASE expected nearly 2,000 cardiovascular imaging professionals at the 2026 meeting in Aurora, Colorado, after more than 2,500 at the 2025 meeting in Nashville and nearly 2,000 from 32 countries at the 2024 meeting in Portland. In 2026, 46% of attendees were physicians, 28% sonographers and 12% fellows in training.
How do I get a booth at ASE Scientific Sessions?
ASE sells space through A. Fassano & Company and the ASE Exhibitor Hub. Companies new to ASE first submit an eligibility form with a description of their products and each product's government approval status; ASE's Exhibitor Review Committee approves it before space is assigned. Only ASE-approved products may be shown in the booth.
