Parts on the counter, not on the wall: OMTEC 2027 booths in Rosemont
We build OMTEC booths around the machined implant, the printed lattice and the instrument tray an OEM engineer wants to turn over in hand. In Hall G of the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center we file your Rosemont Exposition Services orders and plan freight for the hall's upstairs ramp.
- June 8–10 · Hall G
- 215+ exhibitors in 2026
- Fees due Jan 15, 2027
What makes OMTEC different, and how we build for it
OMTEC is ORTHOWORLD's show for one buyer: the orthopedic OEM.Applications pass a curation step before space is sold, some capability categories are capped, and OEM and device-company staff register at the lowest rates ($200 to $750 in 2026) while industry badges cost more and may not solicit exhibitors at their booths. The floor sits in Hall G, where the Tech Center and Think Tank run education on 3D printing, automation and next-generation materials beside the booths. OEM engineers book Speed Networking tables by focus area, the OMTEC Excellence Awards are presented at the Keynote Breakfast, and BONEZONE magazine's March and June issues preview the exhibitors. Visitors come with a sourcing problem and a list of suppliers to see.
The actual part beside its drawing: tolerances, surface finish, lattice or coating samples and the process behind them, explained by someone who can talk design for manufacturing.
Capacity, lead times, certifications, second-source options and where your plants are, laid out so they can compare you with the next three suppliers on their list.
Validation evidence for cleaning, packaging and sterilization, audit history and a quiet seat to talk through a corrective action or a transfer without an audience.
Your team in Rosemont
Two shops, one project manager, every hall
We build in our own production shop in Fishkill, NY, and our Las Vegas hub, ship to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, and install with our own project manager on the floor and vetted local labor. Predictable 30–45-day turnarounds, secure storage and pre-show QA.
Your team walks into a lit, stocked booth. You just show up.
Inside OMTEC 2027
Rules that shape your booth
OMTEC caps inline back walls at 8 feet, holds side walls to 4 feet across the aisle-side 5 feet of depth and bans hanging signs over inlines. We draw your 10×20 to these lines and put the brand on a lit header inside the 8-foot wall.
Every 20×20 display needs show management's approval by March 31, 2027, and each aisle side stays at least 20 percent, or 4 feet, open. We send the rendering with sightlines marked and keep any hanging sign inside the footprint.
On the 2027 floor plan exhibitors reserve their own inline spaces, while the OMTEC team personally places every 20×20. We design an island to work on any of its four sides until your placement is set.
The booth contract bars early teardown, and violators can lose booth priority or future OMTEC participation. In 2026 the hall closed at 1 p.m. Thursday with a 30-minute exit window, so we schedule our crew and your carrier for after it.
OMTEC's package includes blue carpet, a 7-by-44-inch ID sign, pipe and drape and staff badges, but no tables, chairs or wastebaskets. We bring counters and seating with the booth or order them from RES.
Programs worth planning for
Fifteen-minute talks in exhibitors' own booths on proprietary processes and new technology, picked by the OMTEC Advisory Board from submitted abstracts. Abstracts for 2027 open December 1, 2026 and close February 9, 2027.
OEM engineers stay seated while exhibiting suppliers rotate every six minutes, in sessions by focus area; 2026 ran Packaging and Sterilization and Additive Manufacturing rounds in Session Room 51, included with the badge.
Education stages on the exhibit floor: the Tech Center for panels on 3D printing, AI, automation and next-generation materials, the Think Tank for interactive OEM and supplier discussions on cost and risk.
Awards for OEMs bringing new orthopedic technology to market, presented at the keynote with a winners' panel; the 2026 honorees were Stryker, THINK Surgical and Carlsmed.
OMTEC is the only U.S. show built solely around orthopedic manufacturing; choose it over MD&M West when your customers are implant and instrument OEMs and you want their engineers and buyers in one hall. Compare every medical devices show we build for →

02 Booths & pricing for OMTEC 2027
Popular booth sizes at OMTEC
OMTEC sells booth packages, not raw space: a 10×20 is $11,000 and a 20×20 is $22,000 for 2027. Exhibitors pick inline spaces on the floor plan themselves, while the OMTEC team places every 20×20. We recommend a 10×20 for a focused capability story and a 20×20 when a working machine or a seated meeting is part of the pitch.

Two lit part counters split by process, say machining and finishing, an 8-foot graphic wall with your certifications, and a two-seat table where a sourcing manager can open a drawing.

KLEEMANN at a industrial technology exhibition
An interactive booth for a global elevator manufacturer: digital simulations, real product showcases and a floor plan that guided visitors from first step to last.
Different industry, same buyer: KLEEMANN walked engineers from simulation to real product, and OMTEC's OEM engineers judge a supplier the same way, by the part in hand.
Read the KLEEMANN case study All case studies →“We were very happy with the experience and with the support provided throughout the project. The booth looked great, the coordination process was smooth, and everything was handled professionally, which made the event much easier for our team.”

04 Designing for suppliers and contract manufacturers to orthopedic implant and instrument makers at OMTEC
Four things we get right for OMTEC exhibitors
1Sixteen suppliers in seven hours
OMTEC quotes an OrthoPediatrics operations VP who met 16 suppliers in seven hours, so you get about twenty minutes. We put the parts at counter height under daylight-balanced light, add a loupe and a sample tray an engineer can lift, and keep the capability list readable from the aisle.
Respect Hall G's floor and ramp
Hall G is the one hall the venue does not rate for unlimited floor loads, and it sits upstairs, reached by a ramp and a freight elevator from Hall F. Before you commit to a running machine, we get its weight and footprint to Rosemont Exposition Services and crate it to fit that route.
Draw islands under 16 feet
The venue lists Hall G's ceiling at 16 feet, and OMTEC requires each aisle side of a 20×20 to stay at least 20 percent, or 4 feet, open. We design towers and any hanging sign inside your footprint and under that ceiling, then send the rendering for approval by March 31, 2027.
Stage a 15-minute in-booth talk
The OMTEC Advisory Board picked 13 exhibitors for 15-minute In-Booth Presentations in 2026, and abstracts for 2027 open December 1. If yours is chosen, we plan a screen on the back wall, standing room clear of the aisle and a sample shelf the presenter can reach mid-talk.

Logistics for OMTEC 2027, handled
Rosemont Exposition Services (RES) is OMTEC's official services contractor, and its online ordering portal and services manual open January 15, 2027. With no right-to-work law in Illinois, booth labor follows RES rules, and we budget drayage near the $145 per hundredweight in a 2026 RES freight guide. The center has 16 depressed docks and seven drive-in freight doors, and Hall G sits on the upper level, so we crate for the ramp. In 2026 setup ran the day before opening and outbound carriers checked in at the marshaling yard by 3 p.m. on closing day. Our project manager installs with vetted local labor.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Donald E. Stephens Convention Center exhibitor guide.
Hall guide
OMTEC fills Hall G on the upper level of the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, with education in the Level 2 Conference Center beside it. Freight, height and floor loads all follow from that upstairs hall.
220,000 square feet on a concrete floor under a 16-foot ceiling, reached by a ramp and freight elevator from Hall F. The venue rates every hall for unlimited floor loads except this one.
Our advice: We send machine weights to RES before you commit to a demo, and keep island towers and signs clear of the 16-foot ceiling.
The food and stage area inside the exhibit hall, home of the 2027 Welcome Reception on June 8 and, in 2026, the Signature Lunch, the Pancake Power Hour and the Burgers & Beers Finale.
Our advice: Meals pull OEM staff onto the floor, so we light the booth for the evening reception and keep a standing counter free for a conversation with a drink in hand.
66,000 square feet and 36 rooms with 17-foot ceilings. In 2026 Rooms 51 and 52 held the Supply Chain and R&D Symposiums and Speed Networking, and Room 21 the Keynote Breakfast.
Our advice: Speed Networking puts your team at OEM tables away from the booth, so we pack a tabletop kit with a sample tray and a slim banner.
Rosemont Exposition Services' desk on the show floor, where exhibitors pick up the outbound bill of lading in 2026 and hand it back before freight leaves the booth.
Our advice: Our project manager handles the bill of lading and carrier check-in, so your staff can leave when the hall closes.

OMTEC exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before OMTEC
How much does a booth at OMTEC 2027 cost?
Start with the 10×20 tier, where OMTEC suppliers usually land: a rental build runs $7,500 to $15,000 and a custom one $15,000 to $45,000. A 20×20 island runs $16,000 to $40,000 rented or $50,000 to $120,000 custom. Lit sample cases, a running machine and Hall G freight move the price; OMTEC's own package, $11,000 for a 10×20, is billed separately.
What is the deadline to pay for an OMTEC 2027 booth?
OMTEC wants booth, sponsorship and advertising fees paid in full by January 15, 2027, and anything bought later is due on receipt. Cancel before February 1, 2027 and you get half back; after that, nothing. Island exhibitors face a second date: the 20×20 rendering is due March 31, so we need your sign-off by mid-March.
Can we rent a booth for OMTEC, and what does a rental include?
Yes. OMTEC's package gives you carpet, an ID sign and pipe and drape, but no tables or chairs. Our rental fills that gap: framed graphic walls to 8 feet, lit counters and lockable cabinets for implant samples, a meeting table, freight, install and dismantle, all on one fixed proposal. Afterward the kit returns to our stock.
Can we set up our own booth at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center?
How much your own staff may assemble at OMTEC is set in the RES services manual that opens January 15, 2027. A built, crated or powered booth goes up with Rosemont Exposition Services labor on the floor. We read that manual when it posts, file the labor order in your account and run the install with our project manager, so your team walks into a finished booth.
What are the booth height and hanging sign rules at OMTEC?
An inline 10×20 tops out at an 8-foot back wall, its side walls stay at 4 feet for the first 5 feet back from the aisle, and no inline booth may hang a sign. Islands have no set height cap in most cases, but each aisle side keeps 20 percent, or 4 feet, open, and hanging signs stay inside the footprint. Hall G's 16-foot ceiling still sets the top.
What does drayage cost at OMTEC, and who pays it?
You do, billed by Rosemont Exposition Services by weight. Plan on $145 per hundredweight, the crated rate in a 2026 RES freight guide for this building, which bundles advance-warehouse storage, booth delivery and reloading. Part samples are light but booth walls and cabinets are not, so we consolidate crates and list drayage as its own line before you sign.
Which hall is OMTEC in?
Hall G, on the upper level of the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, per OMTEC's travel page. The venue lists it at 220,000 square feet under a 16-foot ceiling, and it is the only hall without unlimited floor loads. Education runs in the Level 2 Conference Center rooms next door, while the Tech Center and Think Tank sit on the exhibit floor.
Can we reuse our OMTEC booth at AAOS or MD&M West?
We plan for that from the first drawing. The same parts counters and certification walls can go to MD&M West in February, AAOS in March and MEDevice Boston in May, with graphics reprinted for each audience. Between shows we store the kit, refresh sample inserts for new parts and ship it to the next advance warehouse.
Do you handle Rosemont Exposition Services orders for OMTEC?
We do. Once the RES portal opens January 15, 2027, we order electrical, furniture, cleaning and material handling in your company's account, send freight on the advance warehouse window, and book lead retrieval with American Tradeshow Services, OMTEC's lead retrieval contractor. You get a copy of each order and its deadline.
When is OMTEC 2027?
OMTEC 2027 runs Tuesday, June 8 to Thursday, June 10, 2027. The 2027 sponsorship schedule puts a Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall Cafe on the evening of June 8. The 2027 exhibit hall hours are not confirmed yet; in 2026 the floor closed at 1 p.m. on the final day.
How many people attend OMTEC?
OMTEC says about 1,400 professionals attend each year, including 300 to 350 people from roughly 80 orthopedic OEMs, from companies such as Stryker, Zimmer Biomet and Arthrex down to pre-revenue startups. The 2025 conference program counted more than 1,400 attendees from over a dozen countries, and the 2026 show had more than 215 exhibitors.
Is OMTEC open to the public?
No. OMTEC is a paid conference for the orthopedic industry, with separate rates for OEM and device-company staff, industry suppliers, and surgeons and academics. Every badge is all-access, with no one-day or floor-only passes. Exhibitors get five badges per 100 square feet, extra badges cost $400 in 2026, and industry badge holders may not solicit exhibitors.
How do I get a booth at OMTEC?
OMTEC is run by ORTHOWORLD Inc., publisher of BONEZONE. You file the online exhibitor application, which takes no payment, and show management screens it before any space is held. Approved companies then pick inline spaces on the 2027 floor plan, where first-come booth selection opens October 26, 2026; the OMTEC team assigns 20×20 islands itself.
Before you sign with anyone
Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for OMTEC:
- Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
- Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
- Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
- What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
- Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?
Common situations
Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.
Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.
Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
