Back Bay, upstream to downstream: BioProcess International 2027 booths in Boston

We build BPI booths where a downstream lead can see your chromatography skid, single-use bag or analytics screen and book a ConnectMe meeting on the spot. At the Hynes we plan for Boston union labor, connected hotels and freight into a compact Back Bay building.

  • Sept 20–23 · Hynes, Boston
  • 250+ exhibitors per BPI
  • Part of Biotech Week Boston

What makes BioProcess International different, and how we build for it

BPI is a scientist's exhibition. The 2026 program ran five pillars: Cell Line Development & Engineering, Upstream & Cell Culture, Downstream Processing, Digital Biomanufacturing and CMC Strategy & Manufacturing Performance, and one conference pass also covers the main tracks of Cell & Gene Therapy International. Informa counts 250+ CDMOs, CROs and suppliers in the hall, and the scientific posters hang on physical boards inside that same hall for the whole event, so poster traffic passes your booth. The 2026 Start-Up Zone listed eleven young companies and sold out, and the ConnectMe app lets attendees send meeting requests to exhibitors. Around it, Biotech Week Boston adds LSX Congress USA and RNA Leaders USA.

Upstream and cell culture scientists

Bioreactors, media and perfusion or cell retention hardware they can examine, with titer and viability data from real runs, and someone who can talk ATF and TFF settings.

Downstream and purification leads

Chromatography resins, membranes, filtration and single-use assemblies with capacity and cost data, plus a straight answer on supply and lead times.

CMC, digital and outsourcing decision makers

CDMO capacity, process analytics and digital biomanufacturing tools explained in terms of timelines to clinic and GMP readiness, ideally in a booked meeting rather than a passing chat.

BioProcess International rules that shape your booth

Start-Up Zone has eligibility rules

BPI's Start-Up Zone is for companies under five years old, academic spin-outs, new tech or service providers and founders seeking investment; the 2026 zone sold out. We build zone-sized graphics that later scale to a 10×20.

Organizer rule

One pass, two co-located conferences

A BPI conference pass covers the main tracks of Cell & Gene Therapy International too, while other Biotech Week Boston events need separate registration. We give cell and gene therapy suppliers a second graphic line for that crowd.

Organizer rule

Exhibit space through the partnerships team

Informa sells BPI sponsorship and exhibit packages through its partnerships contacts rather than an online booth store. We start design from the package and position it confirms, including Event Partner or sponsor tiers.

Organizer rule

Posters share the exhibit hall

BPI displays every scientific poster on physical boards inside the exhibit hall throughout the event, with poster presenters on All Access passes. We angle your booth front and data screens toward poster aisles when the floor plan places you near them.

02 Booths & pricing for BioProcess International 2027

Popular booth sizes at BioProcess International

Informa sells BPI exhibit space through its partnerships team, and it has not yet posted 2027 footprints or prices; both are not confirmed yet. CDMOs here typically want meeting space and suppliers want a hardware plinth, so we recommend a 10×20 for one product family and a 20×20 for a skid or a CDMO with private meetings.

A focused, demo-first booth for augmented-reality surgical guidance, built so every visitor could try the technology while traffic kept moving.

Pixee Medical needed visitors to try its technology without stalling the aisle; BPI suppliers face that with bioreactors and columns that scientists want to inspect closely.

04 Designing for bioprocessing equipment, single-use, analytics, CDMO and CRO companies at BioProcess International

Four things we get right for BioProcess International exhibitors

Multiwell plate with a row of red samples on a lab worksheet1

Book meetings before Boston

BPI's ConnectMe app opens to registered attendees four weeks before the meeting, with the full attendee list and meeting requests. We give the booth a visible meeting table and print a QR to your ConnectMe profile on the counter, so a downstream lead who misses you on the first hall day can request a slot for the next.

Rows of glass pipettes standing in laboratory racks2

Five science pillars, one hall

BPI's Cell Line, Upstream, Downstream, Digital Biomanufacturing and CMC pillars, plus the Cell & Gene Therapy International tracks, all empty into the same hall. We write a one-line headline per pillar you serve, so a scientist coming out of a perfusion session sees within seconds that you are relevant.

Scientist in a full protective suit, mask and gloves standing in a laboratory3

Hardware needs a real plinth

Chromatography columns, single-use bioreactors and filtration skids are heavy and have to look clean. We build steel-reinforced plinths with hidden cable runs, so equipment looks GMP-tidy under the Hynes lights and the union labor can set it without a forklift.

Clean white laboratory with microscopes, monitors and a scientist working at the far bench4

Start-ups get a curated zone

The BPI Start-Up Zone takes companies under five years old, academic spin-outs, new technology providers and founders seeking investment; the 2026 zone sold out. If you qualify, we design graphics and a counter kit that fit the zone's footprint and carry over to your first full booth.

Where you could be at BioProcess International 2027

Informa has not said which Hynes halls BPI 2027 uses. These are the spaces the building offers, from Signature Boston's own facility page.

AFour exhibit halls
BAuditorium
CBallroom and meeting rooms
Hynes Convention Center, BostonSchematic, not to scale
A

Four exhibit halls

176,480 square feet of exhibit space split into four halls that can be used in any combination, on Boylston Street in Back Bay.

Our advice A compact hall means short walks from sessions, so we design for quick, repeat visits rather than one long stop.

B

Auditorium

A multi-purpose auditorium with a built-in balcony and seating for 4,000+, used for general sessions or extra exhibits.

Our advice Keynote crowds empty into the halls at once, so we keep the booth front open and staff up for those surges.

C

Ballroom and meeting rooms

A 24,544-square-foot ballroom and 38 meeting rooms, a few minutes from the exhibit halls.

Our advice With five science pillars and Cell & Gene Therapy International sessions in these rooms, we put pillar names on your graphics so attendees connect sessions to your booth.

05 Hynes Convention Center · Boston

Logistics for BioProcess International 2027, handled

The Hynes Convention Center sits on Boylston Street in Back Bay with four exhibit halls totaling 176,480 square feet that combine in any arrangement, an auditorium for 4,000+ and a 24,544-square-foot ballroom, according to Signature Boston. It falls under the same Boston union jurisdiction as the BCEC: your own staff can handle only small jobs under the size and height thresholds, and union crews do everything else, which we book ahead. Purple's planning figure for Hynes drayage is about $190 per hundredweight in 2026 and 2027, with a 200-pound minimum. The Sheraton Boston and Boston Marriott Copley Place connect to the building indoors, and our project manager leads install with vetted Boston labor.

BioProcess International exhibitors can find this building's hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines in our Hynes Convention Center exhibitor guide.

What Purple handles

  • Steel-reinforced plinths for bioreactors, columns and skids

BioProcess International exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before BioProcess International

How much does a booth at BioProcess International 2027 cost?

For a supplier with one product family, a 10×20 rental at $7,500 to $15,000 is the usual start; a CDMO wanting a closed meeting room or a skid on show moves to a 20×20 custom island at $50,000 to $120,000. Boston union labor and Hynes drayage add to it, and Informa bills booth space separately; its 2027 rates are not confirmed yet.

What does drayage cost at the Hynes for BPI?

Our planning figure for the Hynes is about $190 per hundredweight in 2026 and 2027, with a 200-pound minimum; the exact tariff comes from the show's exhibitor kit. Bioprocess hardware is heavy, so we weigh each crate early and price that handling separately on the proposal.

Can our own staff set up the booth at the Hynes?

Only for limited tasks. The Hynes follows the same Boston union jurisdiction as the BCEC, so exhibitor staff may handle small items below defined size and height limits, and everything else goes to union labor. We book that labor in advance and our project manager runs the crew on the floor.

What is the BPI Start-Up Zone?

The Start-Up Zone is a curated area of the BPI exhibition floor, offered at a start-up price, for companies under five years old, academic spin-outs, new technology or service providers and founders seeking investment. The 2026 zone listed eleven companies and sold out; 2027 applications are open, with priority consideration because space is limited.

When is BioProcess International 2027?

September 20–23, 2027, Monday to Thursday, as part of Biotech Week Boston at the Hynes Convention Center. Informa has not published 2027 exhibit hall days or hours yet, so they are not confirmed yet. The 2026 edition ran September 22–25, 2026 in the same building.

Can we rent a booth for BPI, and what is included?

A rental is the usual route for BPI. For the Hynes our rental bundles the frame, fabric graphics, LED lighting, a reinforced plinth for your equipment, a meeting table and flooring, with freight, union labor coordination, install and dismantle on one fixed proposal. After Thursday the hardware comes back to us and your graphics are kept for reuse.

Do you handle the show contractor orders for BPI?

We do. The general contractor and 2027 exhibitor manual are not confirmed yet; when the manual opens we file the labor, drayage, electrical, rigging and carpet orders, plus any equipment forms, and send you copies with every cost on the proposal.

Where is BioProcess International 2027 held?

At the Hynes Convention Center, 900 Boylston Street in Boston's Back Bay. It is 4.6 miles from Logan International Airport per Signature Boston, the Hynes Convention Center Green Line stop is at the building, and the Sheraton Boston and Boston Marriott Copley Place connect indoors.

How many people attend BioProcess International?

BPI cites 3,000+ scientists and executives from 40+ countries, 250+ exhibiting CDMOs, CROs and suppliers and 180+ scientific poster presenters for its 2026 meeting. Biotech Week Boston as a whole drew 5,000+ attendees from 48 countries in 2026.

Is BioProcess International open to the public?

BioProcess International is a paid industry conference and exhibition, not a public event. A BPI conference pass also covers the main tracks of the co-located Cell & Gene Therapy International, while every other Biotech Week Boston event has its own registration and ticket.

Who organizes BioProcess International?

Informa Connect Life Sciences organizes BPI. Its BPI portfolio also includes BioProcess International APAC, listed for September 2–3, 2027, and exhibit and sponsorship inquiries for Boston go to its partnerships team, which shares a sponsor prospectus on request.

What are the BioProcess International 2027 exhibit hall hours?

2027 exhibit hall days and hours are not confirmed yet; Informa has published only the September 20–23, 2027 meeting dates. We plan move-in from the hall schedule in the exhibitor manual once it opens, and keep staffing flexible for the poster and break traffic.

Who exhibits at BioProcess International?

250+ CDMOs, CROs and bioprocessing suppliers exhibit, per BPI. The 2026 Event Partners were Cytiva, MilliporeSigma, Sartorius, Thermo Fisher Scientific and W.L. Gore & Associates, with Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors and a long associate list behind them.

How do posters work at BPI?

Posters hang on physical boards inside the exhibit hall throughout the event and are also posted as PDFs in ConnectMe. Presenters buy an All Access In-Person pass with the poster add-on; the editorial team reviews every poster, and the top three authors win a pass to the next year's event. The 2026 slots sold out.

Before you sign for BioProcess International

Five things to ask every builder quoting BioProcess International:

  1. Is every fee on the proposal, including what the BioProcess International show contractor bills?
  2. Who builds the BioProcess International booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
  4. Which items are in the rental, and which does the show bill?
  5. Once BioProcess International closes, where does the booth go and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? Bring it: we refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it at BioProcess International and store it until the next show. The structure you paid for stays in use.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground in Boston: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready for BioProcess International in two to three weeks. You will know on the first call what is realistic for your BioProcess International date.
