What makes JLC LIVE different, and how we build for it
JLC LIVE is a hands-on show run for the people who swing the hammer.Informa Markets stages it with JLC, The Journal of Light Construction, and the floor is built around Building Clinics: The Ultimate Framing Experience in the Builder's Workshop, Mechanicals for GCs, Decks, Drywall, Exteriors, High Performance, Roofing and Trim Carpentry, all taught live on the show floor. Rules that shape your JLC LIVE booth
JLC LIVE opens the exhibit hall only on Friday and Saturday, March 19–20, 2027, closing at 3 p.m. Saturday, while Thursday is conference only. We schedule install, staffing and the Saturday pack-out around that short floor.
JLC LIVE holds no booth without a deposit: 50 percent from June 30, 2026 and the full amount with any contract from November 10, 2026. We build your proposal so the space payment is not the thing that slips.
Every JLC LIVE 2027 exhibitor pays $1,450 for the online company listing and lead generation package, and corner fees of $275 apply to inline booths only. We put both lines on your budget next to the build.
JLC LIVE endorses onPeak as its sole housing provider for discounted Providence rooms. We book our project manager's room through the same block and tell your team to ignore other housing callers.

JLC LIVE attendees move in waves between Building Clinics such as Decks, Roofing and Trim Carpentry. We post your demo times on a large board at the aisle and build the booth so a demo can start the moment a clinic crowd walks past.

Remodelers judge a fastener, membrane or trim product by how it goes onto lumber, sheathing or drywall. We build a sturdy demo wall or deck frame with replaceable panels, so your installer can repeat the job dozens of times over Friday and Saturday.

Logistics for JLC LIVE 2027, handled
JLC LIVE uses the Rhode Island Convention Center at 1 Sabin Street in downtown Providence, a building whose 100,000-square-foot exhibit hall can split into as many as four halls. Freeman Show Services handles show services and billing at the Exhibitor Service Center, and booth space is held only once a deposit is paid. From November 10, 2026, the full booth cost is due with the contract. Exhibitors submit insurance and register staff in the exhibitor portal, where the Exhibitor Services Manual lives. onPeak is the only hotel provider JLC LIVE endorses. We ship from our Fishkill, NY shop and our project manager runs install and dismantle with vetted Providence labor.

How much does a booth at JLC LIVE 2027 cost?
JLC LIVE charges $51.50 per square foot for regular space and $53.00 for premium in 2027, plus $275 per corner on inline booths and a required $1,450 listing and lead package. A 10×20 is $10,300 before those fees. Our 10×20 rental runs $7,500 to $15,000; demo walls and live product drive the build cost.
When is the JLC LIVE 2027 payment deadline?
Booth contracts signed on or after November 10, 2026 must include 100 percent of the space cost; before that, a 50 percent deposit holds space, and space is never held without one. We need your design signed off in early January 2027 to build and ship for the March 19 opening.
Can we rent a booth for JLC LIVE, and what does a rental include?
We rent JLC LIVE kits from 10×20 up: frame, fabric graphics, lighting, a counter and a demo bench or wall section your crew can install on. One fixed proposal covers freight from Fishkill, setup, teardown and storing the kit, and the work surfaces come apart for the next show.

What days is the JLC LIVE exhibit hall open?
The exhibit hall is open Friday, March 19, 2027 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, March 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 18 is conference only, with sessions from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the Conference Happy Hour, and a Welcome Party follows the Friday close at The Strand Ballroom.
Do you handle Freeman orders for JLC LIVE?
We place your Freeman Show Services orders for power, carpet, furniture and material handling from the exhibitor portal, add them to your proposal before filing, and review the Freeman bill at the service desk with you before leaving Providence, as JLC LIVE advises first-time exhibitors to do.
Can we reuse our JLC LIVE booth at other shows?
