PACK EXPO Las Vegas is where packaging and processing machine builders run their equipment for the plants that buy it. Purple Exhibits supplies PACK EXPO booth staff for those booths: rail hosts who manage the crowd at a running line, booth reps who log specs and leads, meeting hosts, greeters and trade show models for awards and press moments. Every person bills at $85 an hour, with a four-hour minimum. The crew lives in Las Vegas, so the bill never carries airfare, rooms or a travel fee. This edition is set for September 27–29 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. PMMI holds it every other year in Las Vegas, and PACK EXPO International takes the even years in Chicago. Your engineers keep the machines; our people keep the visitors moving and the lead sheet full. Early summer bookings get first pick of people; a rush request needs only 72 hours.

Hosts, ambassadors and full booth teams from real Purple Exhibits shows. Matching, briefed and comfortable talking to engineers and buyers alike.

Hosts in shift dresses (top of page). Three hosts in matching charcoal shift dresses tied with royal blue sashes stand at the front of a booth, badges on, ready to greet.
That neat, matched look suits a packaging floor where buyers walk past hundreds of machines a day. A crew that looks like one team gets noticed, and a crew that knows your line keeps people talking.

Best for: Rail hosts, spec barA tailored shift dress in a neutral tone, tied with a sash in your brand color. Polished for greeting and awards moments.
Best for: Greeting, press, awardsA fitted jacket over a plain top with dark denim or trousers. Relaxed but sharp for sample tables and hands-on displays.
Best for: Sample table, materialsA button-up work shirt with your logo, dark trousers and closed-toe non-slip shoes. Right for booths where staff stand near machines all day.
Best for: Machine-side demosSend your brand colors and any uniform pieces with the booking. We confirm shoes, hair and badge placement with every staffer, and anyone working near a running line wears closed-toe shoes.
Tell the planner how many machines will run and how many meetings you expect. The panel lights green when the crew fits the booth, and prices it at $85 per hour on the posted hall hours.

Example 20×40 machinery booth, not to scale. Once booked, your real floor plan and guard lines get marked up this way.
The machine runs here, behind the guard and the rail. Your own engineers start, stop, change over and clear jams. Our staff never touch the controls and never reach past a guard.
A rail host keeps visitors at a safe line, tells them what the machine is doing in plain words and points to the next run on the timetable board.
PMMI keeps business inside contracted booths, so the greeter works from your carpet edge, not the aisle. One question sorts each badge: food, pharma, consumer goods or something else?
A booth rep scans the badge, notes the product, the line speed and the timing the visitor mentions, and books a follow-up with your sales engineer.
Finished packs from the line sit here: pouches, cartons, bottles or blister cards. A brand ambassador hands them out with a spec card if you allow take-aways.
Plant managers and engineers often book time. A meeting host checks the list, seats each group and fetches your engineer when the line demo ends.

PMMI spreads the show across four halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center and places each pavilion by product category. Your hall shapes the crew brief. For halls, docks and freight, see our Las Vegas Convention Center venue guide.
Tighter aisles and wet or stainless demos. Rail hosts keep the crowd compact, and we brief staff on any hygiene rules your booth follows, such as hairnets near open product.
Roomy aisles and big lines. Visitors here ask about data, printing and pallets as often as speed, so reps carry a short card of approved answers and pass deep questions to your engineer.
Lower ceilings in older sections mean smaller signs, so a greeter at your booth edge does more of the work of being found.
Brand managers and package designers come to touch samples. An ambassador at the sample table matters more here than a crowd rail.
Pavilion placement for 2027 as listed by PMMI and summarized in our PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2027 exhibitor guide. Exhibiting in a pavilion is subject to PMMI approval.
Every booth with a live line splits the work the same way. Your engineers own the equipment. Our crew owns the crowd, the questions and the lead sheet. That line never moves.
Two full days and a short one. Crew call is an hour before doors, so the rail is set and the brief is fresh when the first run starts.
Opening day. Lines run on the timetable from the first hour, so rail hosts set the crowd line before the first visitor arrives and reps start the lead sheet.
The full middle day. Meeting hosts work the busiest appointment list, and we stagger breaks so the rail and the spec bar are never empty at the same time.
Short last day. Final meetings and follow-up bookings first, then the crew clears samples and literature while your team prepares the machines for teardown.
Hall hours as posted on packexpolasvegas.com. If PMMI changes them, we move call times to match.

Calm beside running machines, clear with first-time visitors and quick to log a lead for your engineers. These five roles staff most PACK EXPO booths.

Presenters with a headset mic who talk a small group through a packaging machine demo.

Ambassadors who scan a visitor badge at the booth edge and pass the lead to your team.

Hosts at a filling and sealing station who hand out finished sample packs with a spec card.

Hostesses who welcome plant managers to a client meeting suite and keep appointments on time.

Each staffer is $85 an hour and every shift runs at least four hours. Rail hosts, reps, greeters, meeting hosts and models share that rate. The people are Las Vegas locals, so airfare and hotels never show up on the bill.
September 27–29, 2027, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Hall hours are 9 am–5 pm on Monday and Tuesday and 9 am–3 pm on Wednesday. PMMI runs the Las Vegas show every other year; PACK EXPO International fills the even years in Chicago.

No. Your own engineers start, run and clear every machine. Our staff host the visitors around it: they hold the viewing rail, explain the run in plain words, scan badges and book follow-ups.
Start with one rail host per running line and one rep per spec bar. From 20×20 upward a greeter helps, and booked meetings call for a host at the pod. Try the line-check planner above for your own numbers.
No. PMMI does not allow soliciting in aisles, public spaces or other booths. Our greeters work from the edge of your booth and invite visitors in from there.
Closed-toe shoes, hair tied back and no loose scarves or dangling jewelry near a line. We pair that with your look: polos and khakis, work shirts, or a smarter outfit for press moments.
Yes. Plan an exhibitor badge for every staffer through your exhibitor account. We send you the names well before the show.
Aim for early summer 2027 to get first pick. Later requests are fine too, and a rush crew can be arranged on 72 hours of notice.
Standby people stay on call in Las Vegas through all three show days. Should the briefed replacement take longer than two hours to reach you, that shift is on us.
No. Exhibitors hire Purple Exhibits on their own; we have no tie to PACK EXPO or to PMMI, which runs it.
Right here: send the quote form or phone us. The crew is based in Las Vegas and works all four LVCC halls, and nothing is added for travel.
Sure. A single show day, one press or awards block, or a single evening all work. Four hours is the shortest shift, at $85 an hour per person.
Models cost what every other role costs: $85 an hour. An eight-hour day with one spokesmodel comes to $680, and travel is never charged.
Yes. Purple designs and builds exhibits too, from machine plinths and viewing rails to meeting pods, so the booth and the crew come from one team with one point of contact.
