Turbines, gates and dam owners: Clean Currents 2027 booths in Atlanta
We build Clean Currents booths that let a hydro plant manager see your runner, bearing, gate seal or governor up close and talk outage schedules at the same table. The 2027 floor, CC Central, sits in GWCC Building A, and setup is a single Tuesday.
- Aug 30–Sep 3, 2027 · GWCC
- 1,000+ expected in 2027
- 10×20 from $8,550 (NHA)
What makes Clean Currents different, and how we build for it
Clean Currents is the National Hydropower Association's own trade show and conference, a U.S.event built only around water power: conventional hydro, pumped storage, small hydro and marine energy. In 2027 it returns to Atlanta, where the first Clean Currents was held in 2021, with Georgia Power as host and more than 1,100 MW of hydro and pumped storage within 100 miles. Exhibits, sessions, lunches and the networking reception all happen in CC Central, so the floor is the conference's living room for two full days. The 2027 floor plan already lists GE Vernova, Voith Hydro, Andritz, Kingsbury and the US Army Corps of Engineers, so buyers can compare turbine, bearing and gate suppliers in one walk.
Proof your part or service shortens an outage or extends a unit's life, with a reference plant they know and a table to talk scheduling.
Drawings, efficiency curves and materials data for runners, generators, gates and penstocks, plus someone who can discuss a pumped storage design.
Clear evidence on fish passage, dam safety and environmental performance, explained without sales language.
Your team in Atlanta
Two shops and one project manager for Clean Currents
For Clean Currents, we build in our own shop in Fishkill, NY, and at our Las Vegas hub, ship to the Georgia World Congress Center, Building A, and put our own project manager on the floor with vetted local labor for the install. Every Clean Currents build runs a predictable 30 to 45 days and gets a pre-show QA, with secure storage after.
Your team walks into a lit, stocked booth. You just show up.
New at Clean Currents 2027
- Back in Atlanta, with Georgia Power as host
After Phoenix in 2026, Clean Currents returns to the city of its 2021 debut, at GWCC Building A, hosted by Georgia Power. NHA counts more than 1,100 MW of hydro and pumped storage within 100 miles, so expect Southeast plant operators on the floor and lower freight costs for East Coast suppliers. source
- Portland already set for 2028
NHA has announced Clean Currents 2028 for September 24–29 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. If you plan to exhibit in both years, we design the 2027 booth to ship west in 2028 without a rebuild. source
Inside Clean Currents 2027
Clean Currents rules that shape your booth
Each corner on the 2027 floor plan adds $225 to the booth price, so a two-corner 10×20 costs NHA members $9,000. We design corner booths to open on both aisles so the fee pays for itself.
NHA prices every 2027 booth at a member rate and a higher standard rate, $8,550 against $11,800 for a 10×20. We note which applies to you on the proposal so the total is clear from day one.
NHA's 2027 schedule sets exhibitor setup on Tuesday, August 31 and breakdown on Thursday, September 2. We pre-build and pre-wire modules so heavy hardware and walls go up inside that single day.
Programs worth planning for
A Monday, August 30 tour of a working hydro project near Atlanta, ahead of the exhibits; a chance for supplier engineers to meet operators on site.
Educational workshops and seminars on Tuesday, August 31, hosted by NHA Hydro Academy, on the same day exhibitors set up in CC Central.
NHA Future Leaders of Waterpower host an early-career networking event on Wednesday evening, useful for exhibitors recruiting engineers and technicians.
Thursday evening networking hosted by NHA's Hydropower Technical Community (HTC), after the final exhibit day.
Clean Currents is the only national U.S. show built entirely around water power; choose it over POWERGEN when your buyers run hydro and pumped storage plants rather than the gas, nuclear and engine fleets that fill POWERGEN's floor. 02 Booths & pricing for Clean Currents 2027
Popular booth sizes at Clean Currents
The 2027 Clean Currents floor plan sells 10×10 and 10×20 spaces, $4,275 and $8,550 for NHA members, with a corner fee per corner, and large hydro OEMs combine space for bigger footprints. We recommend a 10×20 for a bearing, seal or controls supplier and a larger combined footprint when you bring a runner or generator section.

Shapoorji Pallonji at an engineering and infrastructure exhibition
A structured, powerful booth for a global engineering group founded in 1865, built to communicate scale, trust and engineering excellence.
For Shapoorji Pallonji we built an exhibit around infrastructure scale and engineering credibility, the same pitch a hydro turbine or dam services company makes to plant owners in CC Central.

04 Designing for hydropower, pumped storage and marine energy equipment and service companies at Clean Currents
Four things we get right for Clean Currents exhibitors
1Bring a piece of the powerhouse
Clean Currents buyers know turbines by touch. A sectioned bearing pad, a seal profile or a scaled runner gets a plant engineer to stop; we build a cradle or plinth from its weight and put the material grades and test data at reading height.
2Show the outage you shortened
Hydro owners buy against outage windows. Put one reference plant on the back wall with the before-and-after: days offline, efficiency gained, years added. That story works for the Georgia Power and Southeast operators the 2027 host city brings in.
3Fit a one-day setup
NHA's 2027 schedule puts exhibitor setup on Tuesday, August 31, and breakdown on Thursday, September 2, after two exhibit days. We build modular walls and pre-wired lighting so a cradle-mounted runner and graphics go up in one shift.
4Use the meals in CC Central
Breaks, lunch, networking and the Wednesday reception are all held in CC Central. Keep the booth front open with a counter for business cards, so your team can talk to the crowd that walks in with a plate.

Logistics for Clean Currents 2027, handled
Clean Currents 2027 uses Building A of the Georgia World Congress Center, part of the original 1976 complex. Your own employees can usually help build under Georgia law, but freight handling and utilities are ordered from the official contractor. MARTA's Dome/GWCC station sits at the campus entrance and Hartsfield-Jackson is about 15 to 20 minutes away. We file the contractor's forms, ship to the advance warehouse, and our project manager sets heavy hardware during Tuesday's setup with vetted local labor, then packs out after Thursday's breakdown.

Clean Currents exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before Clean Currents
When is Clean Currents 2027?
Clean Currents 2027 runs August 30 to September 3, 2027 in Atlanta. Monday has technical tours and attendee activities, Tuesday has workshops and exhibitor setup, and exhibits are open in CC Central on Wednesday and Thursday, September 1–2. Exhibit hours for 2027 are not confirmed yet.
Where is Clean Currents 2027 held?
At the Georgia World Congress Center, Building A, in downtown Atlanta, with Georgia Power as host. Atlanta held the first Clean Currents in 2021; the 2026 edition was in Phoenix, and 2028 goes to the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, September 24–29.
How much does a booth at Clean Currents cost?
On NHA's 2027 floor plan a 10×10 costs $4,275 for NHA members and $5,900 standard, and a 10×20 costs $8,550 for members and $11,800 standard, plus $225 for each corner. Our design and build sit on a separate proposal, with 10×20 rentals from $7,500 to $15,000.
Who exhibits at Clean Currents?
Turbine and generator makers, bearing and seal suppliers, gate and valve manufacturers, controls and electrical firms, dam safety engineers and maintenance contractors. The 2027 floor plan already lists GE Vernova, Voith Hydro, Andritz, American Hydro, Kingsbury, Thordon Bearings, Obermeyer Hydro and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
How many people attend Clean Currents?
NHA expects more than a thousand water power professionals at Clean Currents 2027: owners and operators, project developers, engineers, regulators, government agencies, NGOs and consultants from conventional hydro, pumped storage, small hydro and marine energy.
Who organizes Clean Currents?
The National Hydropower Association, the nonprofit trade group for U.S. water power, which calls Clean Currents its official trade show and conference. NHA’s events team handles exhibit and sponsorship bookings, and the 2027 sponsorship prospectus is listed as coming soon.
What is CC Central?
CC Central is the Clean Currents exhibit floor. NHA runs concurrent sessions, education, breaks, lunch and networking there, and the Wednesday networking reception is held on the floor, so exhibitors see attendees all day rather than only between sessions.
When is exhibitor setup at Clean Currents 2027?
NHA's schedule puts exhibitor setup in CC Central on Tuesday, August 31, 2027 and exhibitor breakdown on Thursday, September 2. Exact move-in hours and the service kit are not confirmed yet; we plan freight to arrive for the Tuesday window.
Can we bring a turbine runner to the GWCC?
We build a rated cradle from the runner's weight and dimensions, ship it crated to the advance warehouse and have the official contractor's forklift place it during Tuesday setup. NHA has not published floor-load or height rules for 2027 yet, so we file your equipment details as soon as the kit opens.
Can we set up our own booth at the Georgia World Congress Center?
Under Georgia's right-to-work rules your employees can usually build and strip the booth themselves, though freight and utilities come from the official contractor. If your team would rather not, our project manager leads the work with vetted Atlanta labor.
When do we need to sign off a Clean Currents booth design?
By mid-June 2027. That gives our shop 30 to 45 days in July, time to engineer cradles for heavy hardware and an early-August ship to the advance warehouse before the August 31 setup.
Is Clean Currents worth exhibiting at?
For a hydro supplier it is the one U.S. event where owners, operators and developers of every kind of water power gather, and exhibits share the floor with lunches and sessions. A 10×20 at $8,550 for NHA members in 2027 is modest next to general power shows.
Can we reuse a Clean Currents booth at other power shows?
The same build travels to POWERGEN, which has its own HydroPower sessions, and to APPA’s E&O and National conferences, where public power owners buy, within their 10×20 limit. We keep cradles and walls as modules and reprint the reference plants for each audience.
Before you sign for Clean Currents
Five things to ask every builder quoting Clean Currents:
- Will the proposal show every Clean Currents fee, including show contractor charges?
- Who builds the Clean Currents booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
- Does your project manager stay on the floor through install and dismantle in Atlanta?
- What exactly is in the rental, and what does Clean Currents bill?
- Where does the booth go after Clean Currents, and what does storage cost?
Common situations
Already own a booth? Bring it: we refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it at Clean Currents and store it until the next show. The structure you paid for stays in use.
Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.
Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready for Clean Currents in two to three weeks. On the first call, we tell you what is realistic for Clean Currents.
