Gastech moves between continents, and after BITEC Bangkok in 2026 it lands at the George R.Brown Convention Center for 2027. dmg events splits the floor into Natural Gas & LNG, Low Carbon Solutions, Power & Grid North America and Shipping & Marine, with AixEnergy co-located and 12 country pavilions from China, India, Norway, Oman, South Korea and others. Gastech 2026 was held at BITEC in Bangkok; the 2027 edition moves to the George R. Brown Convention Center on September 14–17. For U.S. suppliers that means domestic freight to a Texas right-to-work hall instead of an export shipment, and for Asian and European exhibitors a U.S. build, labor and hotel plan. source
Inside Gastech 2027
Rules that shape your booth
Supply Chain & Procurement speed networking is available only to confirmed Gastech exhibitors, with matches made in consultation with procurement professionals. We plan the stand so your team can leave for a five-minute meeting without leaving the booth unstaffed.
Space inside a country pavilion is booked through Gastech's pavilion page, and pavilion partners help with logistics. We build your inserts and graphics to the pavilion's shared look and coordinate delivery with the pavilion partner.
The Global Energy Club is limited to invited ministers, government officials, C-suite executives and board members; companies take part through Energy Club sponsorship. We keep your stand's VIP area private enough for the same senior visitors.
The 2027 exhibition closes at 2 p.m. on September 17, after a 7 p.m. close on September 15. We schedule dismantle crews and outbound freight for that afternoon so nothing waits overnight in the hall.

The floor mixes national pavilions, major-company islands and supplier stands; for a first Gastech in Houston we recommend a 10×20 inline with one hero product, or a 20×20 island when meetings are the main goal.

1Design for the booked meeting
The Hosted Buyer Programme and the Supply Chain & Procurement Program fill your diary with five-minute and longer pre-arranged meetings. We give the stand a meeting room you can close, a visible booth number and a clock-friendly layout, so a buyer arriving on schedule finds the right person immediately.
2Pick your zone, then your story
A stand in Power & Grid North America speaks to utilities and data-center power buyers; one in Natural Gas & LNG speaks to liquefaction and regas projects. We write the back wall for the zone you are in, naming the project types and capacities your equipment serves.
3Built for eleven-hour days
Gastech runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on September 15 and closes at 2 p.m. on September 17. We plan seating, storage for staff bags and a restocking point for literature, because a four-day international show wears out booths and staff that were built for a short regional event.
4Make heavy hardware light work
Compressor skids, cryogenic pumps and switchgear are heavy and awkward. Where the real unit is too big, we build a scale model or a sectioned component on an engineered plinth, and we plan dock delivery and forklift time at the GRB before the stand is drawn.

Where you could be at Gastech 2027
dmg events has not named the GRB halls Gastech will use. These are the halls this building uses for large shows, from Purple's venue guide.
Halls A to E, Level 1
Five ground-level halls of roughly 125,000 to 130,000 square feet each that combine for the largest shows; Hall E came with the 2003 expansion.
Our advice Heavy equipment and big islands belong on Level 1, where trucks unload straight onto the floor; we confirm your hall before we route freight.
Halls A3 and B3, Level 2
Two upper-floor halls that Purple's venue guide puts at roughly 223,000 square feet together, often used for overflow and association floors.
Our advice If your stand lands upstairs, we plan lighter structures and freight elevator timing rather than forklifting crates straight in.
Hilton Americas-Houston
The 1,200-room hotel connects to the GRB by skywalk, while the convention center itself is not linked to the downtown tunnel system.
Our advice Good for hosting dinners and overflow meetings near the floor; ship nothing to the hotel, because all freight goes to the GRB docks.

Logistics for Gastech 2027, handled
Gastech's Houston home has exhibit halls on two floors and no link to the downtown tunnels, which means LNG models, skids and crates all arrive at the GRB loading docks, never via a hotel lobby. Under Texas law your full-time employees may help assemble the stand; moving crates from dock to stand remains a job for the official material handler. We budget GRB drayage at roughly $95 per hundredweight (200-pound minimum, our 2026 to 2027 planning number), file the service forms, ship to the official target, and our project manager leads vetted Houston labor through install and teardown.

When is Gastech 2027?
Gastech 2027 runs Tuesday, September 14 to Friday, September 17, 2027. The exhibition opens at 9 a.m. each day and closes at 6 p.m. on September 14 and 16, at 7 p.m. on September 15 and at 2 p.m. on the final day.
Where is Gastech 2027 held?
Gastech 2027 takes over Houston's downtown convention hall, the George R. Brown Convention Center, on downtown's east side. Gastech rotates between continents: the 2026 edition was at BITEC in Bangkok, so 2027 brings the event back to a U.S. hall.
How many people attend Gastech?
dmg events cites 60,000 attendees from 150 countries, 1,000 exhibiting companies, 800 speakers and 200 conference sessions for Gastech, without tying those figures to one edition. Attendance for the 2027 Houston edition is not confirmed yet.
Who organizes Gastech?
Gastech is organized by dmg events, an international exhibition and conference organizer. Stand bookings, country pavilions, sponsorship and the Hosted Buyer Programme all run through dmg events' Gastech team, which also runs the co-located AixEnergy.
How much does a stand at Gastech cost?
dmg events does not publish Gastech stand rates; you request pricing through its Book a Stand enquiry. Our side is separate: a 10×20 rental from us runs $7,500 to $15,000 and a 20×20 custom island $50,000 to $120,000, with meeting rooms and equipment plinths moving the number most.
How do we get a stand at Gastech 2027?
Submit the Book a Stand enquiry on the Gastech site, or book inside a country pavilion through the Exhibit within a country pavilion page if your government or trade body runs one. Send us your stand number and zone once confirmed and we draw to that footprint.
Is Gastech open to the public?
Gastech is a trade event. Visitors register for a pass, delegates buy conference passes, and the Global Energy Club is limited to invited ministers, government officials, C-suite executives and board members. The Hosted Buyer Programme flies selected procurement leaders in at no cost to them.
What is the Gastech Hosted Buyer Programme?
It gives selected buyers complimentary flights and accommodation plus a schedule of pre-arranged meetings with relevant exhibitors over the four days. The buyer pool includes procurement leaders, operators and EPCs. Applications for 2027 are not confirmed yet; dmg events says they will open soon.
Can we join the Supply Chain & Procurement speed networking?
Only as a confirmed Gastech exhibitor. The program lists 600 speed networking sessions, 70 international hosted buyers, five panel discussions and 25 speakers, with five-minute strategic business meetings between suppliers and procurement leaders. Applications for 2027 open later.
Can our own staff build the stand at the George R. Brown Convention Center?
Under Texas right-to-work law, your full-time employees may put up the stand with their own tools. Moving freight from the dock to the stand still belongs to the show's exclusive material-handling contractor, and we book that on the official target.
We are an Asian or European manufacturer. Can you build our Gastech stand in Houston?
That is a large share of our work. We design and build the stand in the U.S., receive your equipment or models at our shop or at the show's freight target, install with our own project manager and store the stand for your next U.S. show. Customs brokerage stays with your forwarder.
When do we need to sign off the Gastech design?
By early July 2027. That leaves a 30 to 45 day build in our Fishkill, NY shop and a late-August ship date to the show's freight target. Island stands with a hanging sign or a closed meeting room should start earlier, in May or June.
Can we reuse the Gastech stand at other Houston energy shows?
The same modular stand adapts to OTC at NRG Park in May and to Houston conferences such as PPIM and NAPE Summit in their exhibit halls. We store it between shows, swap graphics by audience and resize the footprint.

Common situations
Already own a booth? Your existing booth gets refreshed graphics and repairs, then we ship it to Houston, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.
Exhibiting from outside the US? For Gastech, we act as your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, and one project manager who answers your emails in your time zone.
Short on time? In two to three weeks, a rental with your graphics can be ready for Houston. You will know on the first call what is realistic for your Gastech date.
