CHI prices its packages privately through its business development team, so the space itself is quoted to you directly. The Purple side is small at this meeting: an 8-foot backwall, counter and graphics kit costs well under a 10×20 rental of $7,500 to $15,000, and we quote it as a fixed proposal with freight and setup.

The exhibit kit opens 8 to 10 weeks before April 19, which puts service orders in February 2027. Poster submissions with paid registration close March 12, 2027, and the Hilton room block closes March 23, 2027. We ask for design approval in early February so production finishes before the kit deadlines.

We rent a hotel-ready kit sized for CHI's 8×10 space and its side rails: a fabric backwall printed for your chemistry or platform, a lockable counter, a monitor mount and LED lights, with freight, setup and teardown on one fixed price. For a Premier 8×20 we join two backwalls into one 20-foot run.

CHI names Maxum Expo Services as the authorized service provider, and shipping details sit in the Sponsor & Exhibitor Portal. If you ship with anyone other than the preferred shipper, the freight must be picked up in the published window or it goes back to the general contractor's warehouse. We schedule both directions.

CHI sells agenda presentations of 15 or 30 minutes, luncheon presentations with 6 to 8 arranged one-on-one meetings, invitation-only dinners for 10 to 12 guests and user group rooms for 50 to 75 people. We design the booth so its message matches the talk.

CHI has not named the 2027 exhibit room; the room is not confirmed yet. The Hilton San Diego Bayfront has the 34,000-square-foot Sapphire Ballroom and the 24,000-square-foot Indigo Ballroom, and we plan freight to whichever room the floor plan shows.

That is how we design it. The 8-foot-deep backwall and counter fit CHI's other hotel meetings such as PEGS Boston, and the same frames extend into a 10×20 for SLAS in San Diego or Bio-IT World in Boston. Between shows we store the kit and swap graphics.

Children under 18 are barred from the Drug Discovery Chemistry exhibit hall. Booth staff register through the Sponsor & Exhibitor Portal, and exhibitor registrations cover the main conference but exclude symposia, short courses and training seminars, so guests need their own paid registration.

April 19–22, 2027. April 19 holds the symposia, training seminars and short courses, the two-day conferences run April 20–21 and April 21–22, and Matthew Disney gives the plenary keynote. Exhibit hall hours for 2027 are not confirmed yet; CHI places them in the session breaks.

At the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, 1 Park Boulevard, about three miles from San Diego International Airport. The conference rate is $339 a night, booked by phone under the Drug Discovery Chemistry Room Block.

The 2026 meeting drew 850 attendees from 25 countries, with 85+ sponsors and exhibitors, 160 presentations, more than 40 of them from large pharma, and 100+ scientific posters.

CHI sells one size of exhibit space, an 8×10 with side rails and a pipe-and-drape backdrop, and Premier sponsors get an 8×20. There are no 10×20s or islands, so we design to an 8-foot depth: a slim backwall, a narrow counter and one screen that still leave room for two people to talk.

For chemistry CROs, compound library and DEL providers, degrader and AI discovery platforms, it puts 850 industry chemists (2026) in one hotel for four days, with 40-plus presentations from top pharma. The booths are small, so the return comes from a sharp 8×10 plus a luncheon or dinner that CHI books meetings for.
