What makes OTC different, and how we build for it
OTC is the offshore industry home show, and the floor is built around hardware you can walk up to. The Spotlight on New Technology Award winners draw the engineering crowd on day one, the Distinguished Achievement Awards set the tone at the Opening General Session, and the Energy Evolution Exchange and University R&D Showcase pull in operators looking past oil and gas toward offshore wind and carbon management. With URTeC co-located in 2027, unconventional and offshore buyers share the same halls at NRG Center. The organizer plans for 25,000 energy professionals across 166,000+ square feet, so a booth has to read from the aisle and stand up to a close inspection by an engineer who knows the spec.
A clear answer to where your equipment sits in the field lifecycle, evidence from completed projects, and a private table for a conversation that should not happen in the aisle.
The real component or a precise cutaway on a fixture they can inspect, with dimensions, ratings and materials labeled beside the feature they explain.
Scope and delivery facts at a glance, a scheduled-meeting room with power and a screen, and staff who can hand them to the right commercial contact.

Booth options for OTC 2027
Pick a footprint. We’ll price it as a rental, a custom build, or a hybrid.
OTC is an island show. The majors and the big service companies take 40×40 and larger with two-storey structures, and most equipment manufacturers land between a 20×20 and a 30×30 with one hero component under a hanging sign. Inline 10×20 and 10×30 booths work for instrument, coating and software firms when the back wall carries one clear product story.

One valve, connector or sensor on a lit plinth, a back wall with a single application graphic and a counter for literature.

See 10×20 rental booths →
A full-size assembly or skid on the open floor, a hanging sign, a demo screen for digital tools and a meeting table behind the display.
See 20×20 rental booths →
Multiple product zones, a scaled model of the field or vessel, a semi-enclosed meeting room, storage and a hospitality bar for international delegations.
See 20×30 rental booths →All-in 2026 ranges for design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle; booth space, drayage and show services are separate. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show. Designing for offshore energy equipment, engineering and technology companies at OTC
Four things we get right for OTC exhibitors

Build around the real load
We start with the component's dimensions, weight, transport supports and the face visitors need to see. The support, protective finish and clearance become part of the exhibit, so an engineer can inspect the important surfaces without climbing over a crate.

Connect the component to the field
A subsea part means little on its own. We pair it with a labeled assembly illustration, scale model or approved project image in the same sightline, so an operator sees where it lives before reading a single spec sheet.

Give the meeting its own room
International delegations and scheduled operator meetings need more than a cafe table. We plan a semi-enclosed room with power, a screen, coat and literature storage and a shared drawing surface, placed away from the main viewing position.
Keep digital tools readable
For monitoring platforms and asset software we build one prepared scenario on a seated or guided station, with an offline fallback, and pair the screen with an image of the asset so the booth message stays clear from the aisle.

Concept rendering
Every proposal comes with a rendering like this

Logistics for OTC 2027, handled
NRG Center gives OTC divisible exhibit halls, loading bays and a dedicated marshalling area, and heavy offshore hardware moves through that marshalling sequence on a target date, not through the visitor entrance at Gate 10 on Kirby Drive. Electrical, internet, rigging and security are venue exclusives at NRG Center, so we draw them into one layout and order them together with the hanging sign. We read the OTC exhibitor kit, file every form, book your freight targets and material handling, and ship crated equipment to the advance warehouse three weeks out. Our Houston crew installs, levels and secures every component and stays on site from first crate to last.

- Engineered supports and rigging for heavy components

OTC exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before OTC
How much does a 20×20 at OTC cost?
A complete 20×20 custom island runs $50,000 to $120,000 for design, structure, graphics, hanging sign and installation, and a 20×20 rental island $16,000 to $40,000. Equipment supports and a meeting room move the number, so send us the footprint and component list and we return a fixed quote.
Can you install heavy equipment at NRG Center?
Yes. We engineer the fixture from your component dimensions and weight, book the freight target and forklift time with the show contractor, and our Houston crew sets, levels and secures every piece before your team lands. Rigging for the hanging sign is ordered in the same layout.
Can we rent a booth for OTC?
Yes. Rental islands with your graphics, a custom product fixture inside a rental frame, or a fully custom build are all on the table. Many first-time OTC exhibitors take a 10×20 or 20×20 rental and invest the saved budget in the component display.
When do we need to decide?
Design sign-off by mid-February gives a comfortable 30 to 45 day build and a mid-April ship to the advance warehouse. Later is possible; the trade-off is choice of finishes, rush freight and a tighter window for engineering the supports.
Do you handle show service orders and drayage?
We order material handling, electrical, rigging and cleaning through the show contractor, ship on your target date, and file the drayage and marshalling paperwork so your crates arrive at the booth in sequence. You get every deadline copied to you, and nothing depends on a form you did not know about.
