What makes IEEE EMC+SIPI different, and how we build for it
EMC+SIPI is the IEEE EMC Society's annual symposium, five days of sessions, workshops, the Henry W.Ott Fundamentals of EMC tutorial, the Clayton R. Paul Global EMC University, Global SIPI University, Ask the Experts panels and live Experiments and Demonstrations. The prospectus promises more than 55 hours of planned activity in the exhibit hall, with coffee breaks, posters and the Student Hardware Competition on the floor. Inside IEEE EMC+SIPI 2027
IEEE EMC+SIPI rules that shape your booth
The 2027 prospectus says the Halls D and E floor is not carpeted and every exhibitor must buy or bring carpet. We supply flooring cut to your units, with cable channels for demo power underneath.
No demonstrations or solicitations are permitted outside exhibit spaces, under the 2027 general terms. We place antennas, screens and test benches deep enough inside your units that visitors stop within them, not in the aisle.
A representative must staff the exhibit space at all times when the exhibition is open, including the Wednesday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. session. We design a stool-height counter so a two-person team can hold the booth all day.
Exhibitors carry commercial general liability of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, and follow the rules on local unions with agreements at the facility. We send our certificate and book labor accordingly.
Programs worth planning for
Live hardware experiments and software demonstrations in the exhibit hall; 2027 proposals are due January 15, 2027, with notification on February 19.
Student teams build and demonstrate EMC hardware during the symposium, one of the activities the prospectus places on the exhibit floor.
Fundamentals courses that bring newer engineers to Portland; the prospectus counts 35% of attendees as young professionals within 15 years of their degree.
