01 Purple at AutoSens USA 2027

Perception you can see: AutoSens USA 2027 booths at Detroit's Huntington Place

AutoSens visitors are OEM and Tier 1 sensing engineers who want to see a camera, lidar or radar output in real conditions, not a brochure. Detroit's riverfront hall runs on union trades and stores nothing for exhibitors, so we crate demo rigs for Teamster handling and our project manager sets them up.

What makes AutoSens USA different, and how we build for it

AutoSens USA is Sense Media Group's engineering event for vehicle perception, the U.S.sibling of AutoSens Europe, and it runs with InCabin USA in the same hall so exterior and interior sensing teams mix. The 2027 agenda covers six themes, from Driver-Aware ADAS and Robust Perception and Sensor Fusion to Validating AI for Safe Deployment, with tutorials, roundtables and a brand new Global Innovation Showcase. On the floor, Analog Devices, OMNIVISION, NXP, Infineon and rFpro shared space with startups in 2026, plus igloo meeting pods and vehicle demos from Tier 1s. The audience reads datasheets for fun, so the booth that wins shows raw sensor output next to the result.

ADAS and perception engineers

Live or recorded sensor feeds side by side, glare, rain and low-light cases, and someone who can talk calibration drift and latency in detail.

Validation and simulation teams

Scenario libraries, metrics dashboards and a seat where a simulation run can be paused and discussed frame by frame.

Tier 1 and OEM technical buyers

Production readiness, automotive qualification and supply plans, discussed in a quieter corner or one of the floor's meeting pods.

Your team in Detroit

Two shops and one project manager for AutoSens USA

Production happens in our own shop in Fishkill, NY, and at our Las Vegas hub, and we ship to Huntington Place and install with vetted local labor, led by our own project manager on the floor. A predictable 30–45-day turnaround, secure storage and a pre-show QA before AutoSens USA.

Your team walks into a lit, stocked booth. You just show up.

New at AutoSens USA 2027

  1. May dates instead of June

AutoSens USA moves to May 18–20, 2027, three weeks earlier than the June 9–11, 2026 edition at the same venue. Production and freight to Detroit need to start about a month sooner than last year. source

  2. Global Innovation Showcase

AutoSens lists a brand new Global Innovation Showcase among the event features. It is a second stage for new technology beside the booths, so a demo that can be shown in a few minutes travels well between the two. source

  3. Driver-Aware ADAS theme

The 2027 agenda opens with a Driver-Aware ADAS and Automated Driving theme that links driver monitoring with external perception. Exhibitors working across both sides can show them together, with InCabin USA in the same hall. source

Rules that shape your AutoSens USA booth

Union trades at Huntington Place

In this building the trade lines are fixed: carpenters build the stand, Teamsters and ironworkers move and hang things, and only Freeman Electric connects power. We book every trade for vehicle and rig moves before the floor opens.

Organizer rule

400 sq ft self-setup limit

Exhibitors' own full-time staff may set up booths of 400 square feet or less; larger booths use union crews. A 20×20 with a vehicle crosses that line, so we schedule labor accordingly.

Organizer rule

Exterior sensing content only

AutoSens focuses on exterior sensing for passenger vehicles from L2 to L5, and talks outside that remit are not considered; sales pitches are rejected. Booth messaging lands best when it matches that technical focus.

02 Booths & pricing for AutoSens USA 2027

Popular booth sizes at AutoSens USA

AutoSens sells booths, roundtables, meeting rooms and bespoke partner packages by request, with no price list on the site, and its 2026 floor mixed inline stands with lead-sponsor spaces. For a sensor demo we recommend a 10×20 with a screen wall; a vehicle or sensor rig needs at least a 20×20.

04 Designing for camera, lidar, radar, image sensor, perception software and ADAS test companies at AutoSens USA

Four things we get right for AutoSens USA exhibitors

The Detroit skyline seen from the Detroit Riverwalk in May 20241

Raw feed beside the result

AutoSens engineers trust what they can compare. We build screen walls that show the camera, radar or lidar input next to the detection or fused output, labeled with conditions and latency, so the demo argues for itself without a pitch.

Young adult wearing a virtual reality headset and headphones in a modern room2

Create a dark corner

Night, glare and low-light performance sell perception products, and convention hall lighting hides them. We frame a shaded viewing bay with controlled lighting inside the booth, sized to the ceiling height of the Level 1 halls.

3

Rig vehicles the Detroit way

At Huntington Place, Teamsters and ironworkers handle freight and rigging and carpenters set booths. We plan vehicle moves, sensor masts and any hanging element around those trades and book them early, since the building keeps no warehouse.

4

Pods for real conversations

The floor already offers igloo meeting pods, and the best talks here are technical. We add a closed or semi-closed meeting space with a screen so your specialists can open a data set away from the aisle.

Where you could be at AutoSens USA 2027

AutoSens placed its 2026 exhibition on Huntington Place's Level 1; the 2027 hall is not confirmed yet. These are the spaces the event used last year and what they mean for a sensor booth.

AHall E1 and E2, Level 1
B140 Meeting Rooms, Level 1
CAtwater Drive entrance
Huntington Place, DetroitSchematic, not to scale
A

Hall E1 and E2, Level 1

The 2026 AutoSens and InCabin exhibition sat in Hall E1 and E2, part of a ground-level hall whose ceiling is 18 feet 8 inches, per the venue's capacity chart.

Our advice Masts, towers and any hanging elements stay well under that ceiling, and we plan lighting for the darker demo bays from inside the booth.

B

140 Meeting Rooms, Level 1

Sessions, tutorials and roundtables ran in the 140 meeting rooms beside the hall in 2026.

Our advice Booths near the hall doors catch traffic at every session change, so we put the strongest demo screen on the aisle facing them.

C

Atwater Drive entrance

AutoSens advised visitors to enter from Atwater Drive in 2026, the closest access to the Level 1 spaces.

Our advice We route hand-carry deliveries and staff arrivals through the same side of the building to save time on move-in day.

Logistics for AutoSens USA 2027, handled

Huntington Place is a union building: per its exhibitor rules, Teamsters and ironworkers move freight and rigging, carpenters set booths and Freeman Electric supplies power, and the venue keeps no warehouse, so crates go to the show contractor's advance warehouse or arrive on a dock target. For 2026 our venue guide plans material handling there at roughly $155 a hundredweight. AutoSens used Hall E1 and E2 and the 140 meeting rooms on Level 1 in 2026, with the best access from Atwater Drive. Which contractor serves AutoSens in 2027, and when move-in starts, is not confirmed yet; we lock targets the day they post.

What Purple handles

  • Screen walls for side-by-side sensor feeds
  • Shaded viewing bays for night and glare demos
  • Vehicle and rig placement planned around Detroit's union trades
  • Advance-warehouse freight and dock targets for a no-warehouse venue
  • Your Purple project manager present from first crate to last

AutoSens USA exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before AutoSens USA

What are the AutoSens USA 2027 dates?

AutoSens USA 2027 runs May 18 to 20, 2027 at Huntington Place in Detroit, alongside InCabin USA. Sense Media has not posted the 2027 day-by-day schedule; in 2026 the event opened with tutorials and roundtables on day one and ran conference days on the second and third.

Where is AutoSens USA 2027 held?

AutoSens USA is at Huntington Place, 1 Washington Boulevard in downtown Detroit. In 2026 the event used Hall E1 and E2 and the 140 meeting rooms on the first floor, and the organizer advised entering from Atwater Drive.

Who exhibits at AutoSens USA?

The 2026 floor included Analog Devices as lead sponsor, OMNIVISION, NXP Semiconductors, Infineon Technologies, Valens Semiconductor, Bosch, Gentex, dSPACE, rFpro, Rohde & Schwarz, TRIOPTICS, Image Engineering and SmartSens Technology, alongside smaller sensing and simulation startups.

How many people attend AutoSens USA?

AutoSens says the event brings a community of over 700 experts and engineers and an exhibition of over 70 stands, with vehicle demos from Tier 1 and systems companies. Its wider newsletter community counts more than 23,000 engineers.

How much does a booth at AutoSens USA 2027 cost?

Sense Media builds bespoke partner packages for booths, roundtables and meeting rooms through a call-back request, with no public rate card. Your stand itself is budgeted apart: a 10×20 rental with a screen wall runs $7,500 to $15,000 from us, and a 20×20 custom build with a vehicle bay $50,000 to $120,000.

What is the difference between AutoSens and InCabin?

AutoSens focuses on exterior sensing for ADAS and autonomy: cameras, radar, lidar, fusion and validation. InCabin covers driver and occupant monitoring inside the vehicle. They share the Huntington Place hall and dates, and AutoSens pass holders get access to InCabin content.

What are the AutoSens USA 2027 deadlines?

The first is the call for papers: abstracts for AutoSens USA 2027 are due by December 12, 2026, with at least 500 words of technical content on exterior sensing for L2 to L5 passenger vehicles. For the Detroit floor itself, the 2027 service partner and dock schedule are not confirmed yet; we book Huntington Place freight targets the week Sense Media releases them.

Can we show a vehicle at AutoSens USA?

Vehicle demos from Tier 1 and systems companies are part of the AutoSens format. At Huntington Place, vehicle moves and rigging run through the union trades the venue assigns, so we plan the route, the dock time and the battery and fuel handling with the show contractor.

What does drayage cost at Huntington Place?

We plan roughly $155 a hundredweight for 2026 handling at this hall, and since the building stores nothing, so freight goes to the contractor's advance warehouse or straight to the dock on a target time. The 2027 AutoSens kit will carry the exact tariff.

Can our own staff set up the booth in Detroit?

Purple's Huntington Place guide notes that an exhibitor's own full-time staff may set up booths of 400 square feet or less, while larger booths use union crews. The venue's rules also let a single person bring in a small luggage cart's worth by hand.

How do I get to Huntington Place for AutoSens?

Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) is about 35 kilometers away, with the FAST airport bus into downtown. The Detroit People Mover stops inside Huntington Place, and the venue's 4,196 parking spaces cost about $25 a day, with no overnight parking.

What are the AutoSens USA 2027 agenda themes?

AutoSens lists six 2027 themes: Driver-Aware ADAS and Automated Driving; Deployment, Regulation and Commercial Applications; Validating AI for Safe Deployment; Robust Perception and Sensor Fusion; Vehicle Architectures and Edge Compute; and Data, Simulation and Continuous Improvement.

Which other Detroit shows suit ADAS exhibitors?

Huntington Place also hosts The Battery Show and the Motion + Power Technology Expo, and the 2026 AutoSens week overlapped with ITS America in Hall B. Sensor companies often reuse one modular booth across these Detroit events and AutoSens Europe.

What hotels are near Huntington Place for AutoSens USA?

AutoSens runs a hotel search on its event site for the Detroit week, and a 2027 group block is not confirmed yet. Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport is about 35 kilometers from Huntington Place, and the Detroit People Mover stops inside the building, so downtown rooms keep staff a short ride from the hall.

Before you sign for AutoSens USA

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for AutoSens USA:

  1. Will the proposal show every AutoSens USA fee, including show contractor charges?
  2. Will your own shop build it, or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor at Huntington Place for install and dismantle?
  4. For AutoSens USA, what is in the rental and what is billed by the show?
  5. Once AutoSens USA closes, where does the booth go and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? Bring it: we refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it at AutoSens USA and store it until the next show. You keep the structure you paid for and bring it to AutoSens USA.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We handle the ground work for AutoSens USA: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager replying to your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? In two to three weeks, a rental with your graphics can be ready for Detroit. On the first call, we tell you what is realistic for AutoSens USA.
