The Hyatt Regency Denver received its final certificate of occupancy on December 20, 2005, with 2006 as its first full year of operation, built specifically to connect to the Colorado Convention Center next door. Its 30,000 sq ft Centennial Ballroom, with 30-foot ceilings and glass light fixtures inspired by mountain peaks, remains the largest hotel ballroom in the state.
