Owensboro Convention Center: the exhibitor's guide
A $45 million building on the site of a former hotel, a pier that extends out over the Ohio River, and a hometown that calls itself the birthplace of bluegrass music. What exhibitors need to know in western Kentucky.
Owensboro CC · 501 W 2nd StWhy this page exists
The Owensboro Convention Center opened in 2013 at a cost of $45 million, built on the Ohio River bank on the former site of the Executive Inn. Its 44,000+ sq ft exhibition hall is the anchor, but the building's signature feature is the Kentucky Legend Pier, more than 8,900 sq ft of event space that extends outdoors over the river itself. Owensboro also bills itself as a birthplace of bluegrass music, home to the International Bluegrass Music Museum and its tributes to Rosine, Kentucky native Bill Monroe, the genre's founding figure. This guide covers the exhibit space, Kentucky's labor rules, drayage, and getting to western Kentucky.
